Entwicklung von Tritiumpermeationshemmenden Schichten auf F82H-mod. Blechen und MANET Rohren nach dem Hot-Dip Aluminierverfahren mit anschließender Wärmebehandlung
In der vorliegenden Arbeit werden die Ergebnisse von tauchaluminierten Blechproben aus F82H-mod. und Rohrproben aus MANET diskutiert. Die anschließende Wärmebehandlung an den getauchten Proben (1040°C, 0.5 h / 750°C, 1 h bzw. 1075°C, 0.5 h / 750°C, 2 h) entspricht der Vergütungsvorschrift für F82H-mod. bzw. der für MANET.
Das Hot-Dip Aluminierverfahren mit anschließender Wärmebehandlung eignet sich als Beschichtungsmethode sowohl für Blechproben als auch für die Innen- und Außenbeschichtung von Rohren. Die Zusammensetzung und Dicke der hergestellten Schichten ist unabhängig vom eingesetzten Stahl. Des weiteren wird gezeigt, daß die hergestellten Aluminidschichten in Pb-17Li beständig sind, der PRF genügend hoch ist und die einzelnen Prozeßschritte mit der ITM Geometrie und der Fabrikationssequenz vereinbar sind
Revisiting Digital Straight Segment Recognition
This paper presents new results about digital straight segments, their
recognition and related properties. They come from the study of the
arithmetically based recognition algorithm proposed by I. Debled-Rennesson and
J.-P. Reveill\`es in 1995 [Debled95]. We indeed exhibit the relations
describing the possible changes in the parameters of the digital straight
segment under investigation. This description is achieved by considering new
parameters on digital segments: instead of their arithmetic description, we
examine the parameters related to their combinatoric description. As a result
we have a better understanding of their evolution during recognition and
analytical formulas to compute them. We also show how this evolution can be
projected onto the Stern-Brocot tree. These new relations have interesting
consequences on the geometry of digital curves. We show how they can for
instance be used to bound the slope difference between consecutive maximal
segments

128Xe and 130Xe: Testing He-shell burning in AGB stars
The s-process branching at 128I has been investigated on the basis of new,
precise experimental (n,g) cross sections for the s-only isotopes 128Xe and
130Xe. This branching is unique, since it is essentially determined by the
temperature- and density-sensitive stellar decay rates of 128I and only
marginally affected by the specific stellar neutron flux. For this reason it
represents an important test for He-shell burning in AGB stars. The description
of the branching by means of the complex stellar scenario reveals a significant
sensitivity to the time scales for convection during He shell flashes, thus
providing constraints for this phenomenon. The s-process ratio 128Xe/130Xe
deduced from stellar models allows for a (9+-3)% p-process contribution to
solar 128Xe, in agreement with the Xe-S component found in meteoritic presolar

Superconducting microstrip detectors
Superconducting NbN microstrip counters feature radiation hardness two orders of magnitude higher than conventional Si strip detectors, spatial resolution limited only by lithographic techniques (0.1 - 2 microns), intrinsic signal rise time of 2 ps, and signal transport over large distances without losses. The aim of this proposal is to improve understanding of the physics of such detectors and to establish their large- scale feasibility

When fair is not equal: compassion and politeness predict allocations of wealth under different norms of equity and need
Growing evidence has highlighted the importance of social norms in promoting prosocial behaviors in economic games. Specifically, individual differences in norm adherence—captured by the politeness aspect of Big Five agreeableness—has been found to predict fair allocations of wealth to one’s partner in the dictator game. Yet most studies have used neutrally-framed paradigms, where players may default to norms of equality in the absence of contextual cues. In this study (N = 707), we examined prosocial personality traits and dictator allocations under salient real-world norms of equity and need. Extending on previous research, we found that—in addition to politeness—the compassion aspect of agreeableness predicted greater allocations of wealth when they were embedded in real-world norms. These results represent an important step in understanding the real-world implications of laboratory-based research, demonstrating the importance of both normative context and prosocial traits
