    Validation of core competencies during residency training in anaesthesiology

    Background and goal: Curriculum development for residency training is increasingly challenging in times of financial restrictions and time limitations. Several countries have adopted the CanMEDS framework for medical education as a model into their curricula of specialty training. The purpose of the present study was to validate the competency goals, as derived from CanMEDS, of the Department of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care Medicine of the Berlin Charité University Medical Centre, by conducting a staff survey. These goals for the qualification of specialists stipulate demonstrable competencies in seven areas: expert medical action, efficient collaboration in a team, communications with patients and family, management and organisation, lifelong learning, professional behaviour, and advocacy of good health. We had previously developed a catalogue of curriculum items based on these seven core competencies. In order to evaluate the validity of this catalogue, we surveyed anaesthetists at our department in regard to their perception of the importance of each of these items. In addition to the descriptive acquisition of data, it was intended to assess the results of the survey to ascertain whether there were differences in the evaluation of these objectives by specialists and registrars

    Some properties of NaBaPO[4]:Eu luminophore surface

    There is an increased interest to the compounds of the ABPO[4] type, activated by europium, where A and B are mono- and divalent cations, because of their luminescent properties. In this paper NaBaPO[4]:Eu{2+}phosphors with different europium content were synthesized by SHS method. It is shown that phosphor surface becomes less alkaline (pHiis changes in the interval 10,7-9,5) with an increase in the concentration of an introduced activator (5-12%). Two bands with maxima wavelength of approximately 425 and 490 nm are observed in the luminescent spectra (the positions of maxima differ somewhat in different spectra).     A cross validation of Consumer-Based Brand Equity (CBBE) with Private Labels in Spain

Springer Proceedings in Business and Economics, pp. 113-125In recent years a number of Consumer-Based Brand Equity (CBBE) models and measurement scales have been introduced in the branding literature. However, examinations of brand equity in Private Labels (PL) are rather limited. This study aims to compare the validity of the two prominent CBBE models those introduced by Yoo and Donthu (2001) and Nam et al. (2011). In order to test the models and make this comparison, the study collected data from 236 respondents who rated private labels in Spain. A list of 30 different fashion and sportswear PL was introduced to respondents. These brands do not make any reference to the retail store in which they are sold. Research findings suggest that the extended CBBE model introduced by Nam et al. (2011) and Ciftci et al. (2014) is more reliable and valid than Yoo and Donthu’s model for assessing PL. Данная тема актуальна, так как множество различных компаний открываются и стараются конкурировать с уже устоявшимися компаниями. The aim of the work was: to study the Russian auto insurance market using the example of the company "Comestra Insurance". The main tasks were: to study the nature and structure of the insurance market, to characterize the participants of the insurance market, to analyze the state of the Russian insurance market in terms of its dynamics, scale, level of insurance services provided. This topic is relevant, as many different companies open up and try to compete with already established companies.     GEOLOGICAL FEATURES IDENTIFIED FROM FIELD OBSERVATIONS AND REMOTE SENSING DATA ON THE UM TAGHIR AREA, EASTERN DESERT, EGYPT

    The current study presents the integration between field observations and remotely sensed data for detection and extraction of geological structural features using Sentinel-2A and Aster DEM images. The area under investigation is represented by the Neoproterozoic East African Orogeny encompassing a part of the Arabian Nubian Shield. All the rock units studied belong to the Late Cryogenian-Ediacaran periods that are divided into two large terrains (continental arc terrain and oceanic arc terrain). The metagabbro and metavolcaniclastic rocks make up the oceanic terrain, while the gabbro, tonalite, granodiorite, dokhan volcanic, monzogranite and alkali feldspar granite comprise continental arc terrain. The Sentinel-2A remote sensing and ASTER DEM data have meaningful application in respect of geological interpretation. Lineament analysis is one of the most useful tools in geological mapping and mineral exploration. Several methods of processing and extracting lithological information and lineaments were applied to the Sentinel-2A and ASTER DEM data covering the present study. The methods include various image enhancements (FCC, MNF and PCA) and the application of directional filters (Sobel). The study results show that the area was subjected to stresses of various directions (WNW – ESE, NW-SE, NE-SW, N-S, NNE – SSW, and E-W). There occurred some important structure-related and mineralization events like migmatization (in granodiorites) and bearing mineralization (in gabbro), which are associated with major elements of evidence-based structural control of the area and with the proximity of the Quena Safaga shear zone-related mineralization

Исследуемый район представляет собой неопротерозойскую восточно-африканскую орогению, охватывающую часть Нубийско-Аравийского щита. Изучаемые толщи пород относятся к позднему криогению – эдиакарию и образуют два террейна (континентальный дуговой террейн и океанический дуговой террейн). Океанический террейн сложен метагаббро и метавулканокластическими породами, а габбро, тоналиты, гранодиориты, доханские вулканиты, монцониты и щелочные полевошпатовые граниты слагают континентальный дуговой террейн. Данные со спутника Sentinel-2A, а также данные ASTER DEM используются для геологической интерпретации. Линеаментный анализ является одним из наиболее полезных инструментов геологического картирования и разведки полезных ископаемых. В рамках исследования были использованы методы для обработки данных Sentinel-2A и ASTER DEM, извлечения литологической информации из снимков и проведения линеаментного анализа снимков. Это различные методы увеличения изображения (FCC, MNF и PCA) и применения направленных фильтров (Sobel). Результаты исследования указывают на то, что в данной области имели место напряжения различной направленности (ЗСЗ – ВЮВ, СЗ-ЮВ, СВ-ЮЗ, С-Ю, ССВ – ЮЮЗ и В-З). Образовалось несколько крупных сопутствующих структур и произошло несколько событий в процессе минерализации, таких как мигматизация (в гранодиоритах) и минерализация по простиранию (в габбро), обусловленных главными элементами научно обоснованного структурного контроля территории и близостью нахождения минерализованной зоны сдвига Кена-Сафага

    Measurement of the pnppπ0πpn \to pp\pi^0\pi^- Reaction in Search for the Recently Observed Resonance Structure in dπ0π0d\pi^0\pi^0 and dπ+πd\pi^+\pi^- systems

    Exclusive measurements of the quasi-free pnppπ0πpn \to pp\pi^0\pi^- reaction have been performed by means of pdpd collisions at TpT_p = 1.2 GeV using the WASA detector setup at COSY. Total and differential cross sections have been obtained covering the energy region s\sqrt s = (2.35 - 2.46) GeV, which includes the region of the ABC effect and its associated resonance structure. No ABC effect, {\it i.e.} low-mass enhancement is found in the π0π\pi^0\pi^--invariant mass spectrum -- in agreement with the constraint from Bose statistics that the isovector pion pair can not be in relative s-wave. At the upper end of the covered energy region tt-channel processes for Roper, Δ(1600)\Delta(1600) and ΔΔ\Delta\Delta excitations provide a reasonable description of the data, but at low energies the measured cross sections are much larger than predicted by such processes. Adding a resonance amplitude for the resonance at mm=~2.37 GeV with Γ\Gamma =~70 MeV and I(JP)= 0(3+)I(J^P)=~0(3^+) observed recently in pndπ0π0pn \to d\pi^0\pi^0 and pndπ+πpn \to d\pi^+\pi^- reactions leads to an agreement with the data also at low energies

    Search for the eta-mesic 4He with WASA-at-COSY detector

    An exclusive measurement of the excitation function for the dd->3Heppi- reaction was performed at the Cooler Synchrotron COSY-Juelich with the WASA-at-COSY detection system. The data were taken during a slow acceleration of the beam from 2.185 GeV/c to 2.400 GeV/c crossing the kinematic threshold for the eta meson production in the dd->4He-eta reaction at 2.336 GeV/c. The corresponding excess energy with respect to the 4He-eta system varied from -51.4MeV to 22MeV. The integrated luminosity in the experiment was determined using the dd->3Hen reaction. The shape of the excitation function for the dd->3Heppi- was examined. No signal of the 4He-eta bound state was observed. An upper limit for the cross-section for the bound state formation and decay in the process dd->(4He-eta)bound->3Heppi- was determined on the 90% confidence level and it varies from 20nb to 27nb for the bound state width ranging from 5MeV to 35MeV, respectively.Comment: 8 pages, 9 figure
