    Low Complexity Blind Equalization for OFDM Systems with General Constellations

    This paper proposes a low-complexity algorithm for blind equalization of data in OFDM-based wireless systems with general constellations. The proposed algorithm is able to recover data even when the channel changes on a symbol-by-symbol basis, making it suitable for fast fading channels. The proposed algorithm does not require any statistical information of the channel and thus does not suffer from latency normally associated with blind methods. We also demonstrate how to reduce the complexity of the algorithm, which becomes especially low at high SNR. Specifically, we show that in the high SNR regime, the number of operations is of the order O(LN), where L is the cyclic prefix length and N is the total number of subcarriers. Simulation results confirm the favorable performance of our algorithm

    Literasi matematis adalah kapasitas individu untuk merumuskan, menggunakan, dan menafsirkan matematika dalam berbagai konteks. Salah satu cara untuk meningkatkan kemampuan literasi matematis adalah dengan penerapan model dan pendekatan pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan literasi matematis peserta didik menggunakan model pembelajaran Discovery Learning (DL) dengan pendekatan Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT). Penelitian ini termasuk dalam Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Subjek penelitian adalah kelas VIII-I SMPN 13 Bandung yang berjumlah 27 peserta didik. Materi dalam penelitian ini adalah bilangan berpangkat dan bentuk akar. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan berupa tes dan observasi. Budaya yang ditunjukkan dengan pendekatan Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) adalah angklung, batik Mega Mendung, rumah adat Julang Ngapak dan Kue awug. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran Discovery Learning (DL) dengan pendekatan Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) dapat meningkatkan kemampuan literasi matematis peserta didik, dilihat dari rata-rata nilai kemampuan literasi matematis pada siklus I sebesar 76,85 lalu pada siklus II 80,00. Pada perhitungan skor N-Gain diperoleh nilai sebesar 0,136 yang memiliki arti bahwa peningkatan kemampuan literasi matematis tergolong rendah

    Systematic literature review: Kepercayaan diri dalam pembelajaran matematika

    This research aims to systematically compile and evaluate research on self-confidence in mathematics learning. The method used in this research is a Systematic Literature Review (SLR). Data collection and analysis was carried out by following the general steps of the SLR method, namely formulating research problems, developing and validating review protocols, searching literature, screening inclusion criteria, assessing quality, extracting data, analyzing and synthesizing data and reporting findings. The results of this research show that the most research related to self-confidence in mathematics learning was carried out in 2020 in Indonesia, junior high schools were the most frequently chosen research subjects, the most widely used method was quantitative methods, the mathematics topics used were varied, indicators Self-confidence in general includes an optimistic, objective and rational attitude. The results of research on self-confidence in learning mathematics obtained various results which were reviewed into three aspects, namely aspects that can influence students' achievement of self-confidence in mathematics, the influence of self-confidence on other aspects, and the level of self-confidence. students' self in mathematics

    Model Pengelolaan Persediaan Darah untuk Palang Merah Indonesia dengan Pendekatan Agent-Based Modelling

    Darah merupakan produk yang butuh penanganan khusus, terdiri dari berbagai macam jenis komponen dan tipe, dan tergolong ke dalam barang yang mudah rusak. Selain itu terdapat fenomena ketidakpastian dari kebutuhan dan jumlah pendonor. Keunikan dan peran darah yang sangat vital dalam kehidupan menjadi tantangan tersendiri untuk mengelola rantai pasok dari darah itu sendiri. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan model simulasi pada sistem pengelolaan rantai pasok darah sebagai alat evaluasi dan mengusulkan solusi berupa persediaan darah yang terkoordinasi antar UTD-PMI di Jawa Timur. Model dibangun dengan pendekatan Agent-Based Modelling & Simulation (ABMS) dan terdapat 7 skenario yang dimunculkan. Data sampel yang dihasilkan simulasi dianalisa secara statistik dengan pengujian Bonferroni. Berdasarkan hasil simulasi, skenario 7 mampu meurunkan nilai shortage menjadi 27% untuk komponen darah PRC dari sebelumnya 29% dan 31% untuk komponen darah TC dari sebelumnya 32%. ================================================================================================ Blood is a product that needs special handling, consisting of various types of components and category, and classified into perishable product. In addition, there is a phenomenon of uncertainty about the needs and the number of donors. The uniqueness and the vital role of blood in life is a challenge for managing the supply chain of the blood itself. This study aims to develop a simulation model on the blood supply chain management system as an evaluation tool and propose a solution in the form of coordinated blood inventory management between Indonesian Red Cross in East Java. The model was built using the Agent-Based Modeling & Simulation (ABMS) approach and there were 7 scenarios raised. The sample data produced by the simulation were analyzed statistically by Bonferroni test.     ABSTRAK Muhammad Tareq Ghifari (1700109). Pengaruh Penerapan Media Pembelajaran Matematika Berbantuan Video Edukasi terhadap Kemampuan Berpikir Kritis Matematis Siswa SMP di masa Pandemi Corona Virus Disease 19 (COVID-19). Salah satu tujuan pembelajaran matematika adalah kemampuan pemecahan masalah yang merupakan aspek dari kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis. Kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis merupakan kemampuan yang penting untuk siswa karena melalui berpikir kritis seseorang akan dapat mengumpulkan berbagai informasi yang relevan, bertindak secara efisien dan kreatif, mampu mengemukakan pendapat secara logis berdasarkan pengetahuan dan informasi serta mampu menarik kesimpulan yang dapat dipercaya. Pembelajaran jarak jauh yang dilaksanakan selama pandemi membuat beberapa pendidik kesulitan untuk memenuhi aspek-aspek yang ada pada kurikulum termasuk berpikir kritis. Pengoptimalan pembelajaran jarak jauh sangat bergantung dalam penggunaan teknologi dan media pembelajaran yang dipakai. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dari media pembelajaran video edukasi terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif dengan membandingkan hasil dari kelompok eksperimen dengan kelompok kontrol. Subjek dalam penelitian ini melibatkan 62 siswa kelas IX di salah satu SMP Negeri di Kabupaten Bogor. Data yang diperoleh merupakan hasil tes. Teknik analisis data yang dilakukan adalah uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, uji-t, dan uji pengaruh (effect size). Berdasarkan temuan dan analisis data, dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh antara penggunaan media pembelajaran video edukasi dengan kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa dengan besar pengaruh tergolong sedang. The Influence of the Application of Educational Video Based Learning Media toward Mathematical Critical Thinking Ability of Junior High School Students during the Corona Virus Disease 19 (COVID-19) Pandemic. One of the objectives of learning mathematics is problem solving ability which is an aspect of mathematical critical thinking ability. Mathematical critical thinking ability is an important ability for students because through critical thinking they will be able to collect relevant information, act efficiently and creatively, express opinions logically based on knowledge and information and be able to draw reliable conclusions. Distance learning carried out during the pandemic made it difficult for some educators to fulfill aspects of the curriculum, including critical thinking. Optimizing distance learning is definitely depends on the use of technology and learning media. This study aims to determine the effect of educational video learning media on mathematical critical thinking skills. The research method used is a quantitative method by comparing the results of the experimental group with the control group. The subjects in this study involved 62 eleventh grade students in one of the public junior high schools in Bogor Regency. The data are collected from the students performance on the given test. The data analysis techniques used were normality test, homogeneity test, t-test, and test effect size. Based on the findings and data analysis, it can be concluded that there is an influence between the use of educational video learning media and students' mathematical critical thinking skills with a moderate effect.     Consolidating Indonesia’s Fragile Elections Through E-Voting: Lessons Learned from India and the Philippines

    This research argues that implementing the electronic voting (e-voting) system in Indonesia is urged following the nation's first-ever 2019 simultaneous elections, which cost a deadly price of 527 election official lives of reported extreme fatigue during and after the event. Billed as "the world's most complex election", it has reached a consensus that the current manual election system, in which five different paper-based elections are voted at a time, has to be changed. Not to mention that the long-time gap between the voting day and the result announcement may create an opportunity for election fraud. This is evidenced by loads of electoral dispute lawsuits from the previous election brought to the Constitutional Court of Indonesia accused the others of cheating. This research stresses that despite the controversies of whether Indonesia, an archipelagic country with more than 17 thousand islands and 267 million people, is ready for e-voting.  Whether the application of technology is an appropriate response to the election problems? E-voting is desired as a long-term solution and intends to solve many issues such as speeding the counting of ballots, reducing the cost of elections, providing accessibility for disabled voters, and increasing overall voter turnout

    Internet Shutdown in Indonesia: An Appropriate Response or A Threat to Human Rights?

    In recent years, there has been an increase in the use of harsh censorship in several parts of the globe, notably Africa and Asia. In some cases, the shutdown may be justified, but in other cases, it is driven by the political interest of the regime. The research evaluates the Internet shutdowns in the post-2019 presidential election in Indonesia and during the social unrest in Papua Island. Using normative legal research, which uses statute, case, and comparative approach concludes that although Internet shutdowns in some situations are tolerable, their usage should be less frequent and more restricted. These explanations must be examined using legality, legitimacy, and proportionality principles to limit official arguments for Internet shutdowns because they infringe on human rights. However, since no enforcement mechanism exists, this is only a formality. The Indonesian government's decision to block Internet access to social media platforms during the 2019 presidential election riots and Papua social unrest is not an appropriate response because the decision violates the principles of declaration, proportionality, necessity, and legality, which must be respected even in an emergency situation. Furthermore, the ruling infringed on the civil rights to information controlled by Article 19 of the ICCPR as adopted by Law Number 12 of 2005. It also harmed several industries, including digital-based commerce.
