Potentials owned by every teacher did not always develop fairly due to the influence of several factors, therefore low impact on the teacher's performance. This study was aimed at discovering of the influence of organization cultural, self efficacy and job satisfaction toward teacher's teaching performance, both separately as well as simultaneously. The study population consisted of 158 teacher all of SMK Negeri Kecamatan Denpasar Selatan, and the 113 a person sampling through proportionate stratified random sampling. This study belonged to a ex-post-facto in the lock of explaining a causal correlational problem descriptivily. The data collected by the support of questionnaire and documentation study. The study results shows; there is a positive and significant influence of organization cultural, self efficacy and job satisfaction toward teacher's teaching performance, with effective contribution separately in a row for 17,6%; 19,8%; 22,4%; and simultaneously by 59,8%. This result means; the influence of job satisfaction on the teacher's teaching performance is the first rank, then the influence of self efficacy on the teacher's teaching performance is the second rank, and the influence of organizational culture on the teacher's teaching performance is the third rank

Inhibition of Striatal Soluble Guanylyl Cyclase-cGMP Signaling Reverses Basal Ganglia Dysfunction and Akinesia in Experimental Parkinsonism

There is clearly a necessity to identify novel non-dopaminergic mechanisms as new therapeutic targets for Parkinson's disease (PD). Among these, the soluble guanylyl cyclase (sGC)-cGMP signaling cascade is emerging as a promising candidate for second messenger-based therapies for the amelioration of PD symptoms. In the present study, we examined the utility of the selective sGC inhibitor 1H-[1], [2], [4] oxadiazolo-[4,3-a]quinoxalin-1-one (ODQ) for reversing basal ganglia dysfunction and akinesia in animal models of PD.The utility of the selective sGC inhibitor ODQ for reversing biochemical, electrophysiological, histochemical, and behavioral correlates of experimental PD was performed in 6-OHDA-lesioned rats and mice chronically treated with MPTP.We found that one systemic administration of ODQ is sufficient to reverse the characteristic elevations in striatal cGMP levels, striatal output neuron activity, and metabolic activity in the subthalamic nucleus observed in 6-OHDA-lesioned rats. The latter outcome was reproduced after intrastriatal infusion of ODQ. Systemic administration of ODQ was also effective in improving deficits in forelimb akinesia induced by 6-OHDA and MPTP.Pharmacological inhibition of the sGC-cGMP signaling pathway is a promising non-dopaminergic treatment strategy for restoring basal ganglia dysfunction and attenuating motor symptoms associated with PD

Properties of MoNxOy thin films as a function of N/O ratio

The main purpose of this work consists on the preparation of single layered molybdenum oxynitride, MoNxOy. The films were deposited on steel substrates by dc reactive magnetron sputtering. The depositions were carried out from a pure Mo target varying the flow rate of reactive gases, which allowed tune the crystallographic structure between insulating oxides and metallic nitrides and consequently electronic, mechanical and optical properties of the material. X-ray diffraction (XRD) results revealed the occurrence of molybdenum nitride for the films with low oxygen fraction: face-centred cubic phases (gama-Mo2N) for low nitrogen flow rate or cubic MoNx and hexagonal phase (delta-MoN) for high nitrogen flow rate. The increase of oxygen content induces an amorphization of the nitride phases and appearance of MoO3 phases. The increase of the oxygen fraction in the films induces also a high decrease in films hardness. Residual stresses revealed to be of compressive type, in the range of very few tenths of GPa to 2 GPa. All these results have been analysed and will be presented as a function of the deposition parameters, the chemical composition and the structure of the films.Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia (FCT) – Pograma Operacional “Ciência, Tecnologia, Inovação” - POCTI/CTM/38086/2001.Comunidade Europeia (CE). <p>Abstract</p> <p>Background</p> <p><it>CYP2C9 </it>and <it>VKORC1 </it>are two major genetic factors associated with inter-individual variability in warfarin dose. Additionally, genes in the warfarin metabolism pathway have also been associated with dose variance. We analyzed Single Nucleotide Polymorphisms (SNPs) in these genes to identify genetic factors that might confer warfarin sensitivity in Indonesian patients.</p> <p>Methods</p> <p>Direct sequencing method was used to identify SNPs in <it>CYP2C9, VKORC1, CYP4F2, EPHX1, PROC </it>and <it>GGCX </it>genes in warfarin-treated patients. Multiple linear regressions were performed to model the relationship warfarin daily dose requirement with genetic and non-genetic variables measured and used to develop a novel algorithm for warfarin dosing.</p> <p>Results</p> <p>From the 40 SNPs analyzed, <it>CYP2C9 </it>rs17847036 and <it>VKORC1 </it>rs9923231 showed significant association with warfarin sensitivity. In our study population, no significant correlation could be detected between <it>CYP2C9*3, CYP2C9C</it>-65 (rs9332127), <it>CYP4F2 </it>rs2108622, <it>GGCX </it>rs12714145, <it>EPHX1 </it>rs4653436 and <it>PROC </it>rs1799809 with warfarin sensitivity.</p> <p>Conclusions</p> <p><it>VKORC1 </it>rs9923231 AA and <it>CYP2C9 </it>rs17847036 GG genotypes were associated with low dosage requirements of most patients (2.05 ± 0.77 mg/day and 2.09 ± 0.70 mg/day, respectively). <it>CYP2C9 </it>and <it>VKORC1 </it>genetic variants as well as non-genetic factors such as age, body weight and body height account for 15.4% of variance in warfarin dose among our study population. Additional analysis of this combination could allow for personalized warfarin treatment in ethnic Indonesians.</p
