    SEMICONDUCTOR FREQUENCY STANDARD BASED ON P(16) SPECTRAL LINE OF ACETYLENE ISOTOPE WITH TEMPERATURE STABILIZATION BY PHASE MODULATION

    This paper reviews the method of semiconductor laser diode frequency stabilization by phase modulation. Also parameters are identified that affect the quality of stabilization and the estimation of Allan deviation is obtained. The pilot setup has been put together and it consists of: a semiconductor distributed feedback laser diode, a fiber phase modulator, an electrical signal generator, an acetylene-13 isotope cuvette, a photodetector, a lock-in amplifier and personal computer for measurement processing. Modulated laser diode radiation passed through a gas cell provides information about the position of radiation spectral line relative to the center of gas spectral line. Gas molecular spectral lines provide frequency standard with low sensitivity to external effects. When using the reference signal, one can get an error signal in a lock-in amplifier that changes the laser diode temperature and, as a result, its wavelength. Allan deviation was estimated based on measured frequency data. Long-term stability can be improved in the time range between 0.1 s and 100 s up to 1∙10-8 (Allan deviation). This method of stabilization is useful for the development of compact high reliable optical frequency standards for space applications

    Extension of Copernicus Urban Atlas to Non-European Countries

    National Research Foundation of Ukraine from the state budget 2020.02/0284 “Geospatial models and information technologies of satellite monitoring of smart city problems” (NRFU Competition “Leading and Young Scientists Research Support”), and trans-national project SMURBS (Grant Agreement N. 689443), funded under the EU Horizon 2020 programOne of the parts of the Land Monitoring Service is Copernicus Urban Atlas, which provides reliable and comparable land use maps with high accuracy for large number European functional urban areas and their neighbors for every 6 years (2006, 2012, 2018). Unfortunately, there is no available such products for Ukrainian cities and there is no possibility to reproduce the technology by which they are obtained. This is due to the unavailability of sufficient high resolution satellite data information at the cities level, which is an integral part of the European methodology for obtaining the Urban Atlas. That is why we have proposed new approach on the base of open data which can be applicable to any other city. Kyiv (Ukraine) became the first city outside the Europe, for which the methodology by creating Urban Atlas was developed, which is compliant in structure and functionality to the European Copernicus Urban Atlas. The methodology was scaled for Lviv City, as well as applied and tested for other cities, in particular for Rivne, Irpin (Ukraine) and Lublin (Poland). In addition to the main management tasks that the Urban Atlas helps to solve, the obtained products can be used to unify and air quality monitoring in cities, and as a base for assessing the sustainable development goals indicator 11.6.2 “Annual mean levels of fine particulate matter in cities”

    A fiber-pumped single-frequency microchip erbium laser was developed and characterized with the aim of using it in coherent Optical Time Domain Reflectometry (OTDR) measurements and sensing. The laser is pumped by a fiber-coupled 976 nm laser diode and provides 8 mW TEM00 single frequency output power at 1.54 µm wavelength, suitable for efficient coupling to optical fibers.     The node of Grid system was investigated using the Petri network approach. A model of the working node was constructed and its structural properties were investigated. In particular, it is shown that the constructed network is bounded, alive and free of inaccessible places. Analysis of the mutex and fairness properties was performed for the model.Исследуется узел Grid-системы с применением аппарата сетей Петри. Построена модель работы узла и рассмотрены ее структурные свойства. Показано, что полученная сеть является ограниченной, живой и не содержит недостижимых позиций.     Досліджується вузол Grid-системи із застосуванням апарату мереж Петрі. Побудовано модель роботи вузла та досліджено її структурні властивості. Показано, що побудована мережа є обмеженою, живою та не містить недосяжних позицій.
