Mixed problems for degenerate abstract parabolic equations and applications

    Get PDF
Degenerate abstract parabolic equations with variable coefficients are studied. Here the boundary conditions are nonlocal. The maximal regularity properties of solutions for elliptic and parabolic problems and Strichartz type estimates in mixed LpL_{p} spaces are obtained. Moreover, the existence and uniqueness of optimal regular solution of mixed problem for nonlinear parabolic equation is established. Note that, these problems arise in fluid mechanics and environmental engineering

Linear and nonlinear degenerate abstract parabolic equations with variable coefficients are studied. Here the equation and boundary conditions are degenerated on all boundary and contain some parameters. The linear problem is considered on the moving domain. The separability properties of elliptic and parabolic problems in mixed LpL_p spaces are obtained. Moreover, the existence and uniqueness of optimal regular solution of mixed problem for nonlinear parabolic equation is established. Note that, these problems arise in fluid mechanics and environmental engineering

The internet has become more and more attractive to the adolescents who had to stay at home and had no chance to socialize during the Covid-19 process. The social restrictions and distancing precoutions that Covid-19 brought with it and the decrease in social relations have affected the adolescents at an unprecedented depth. It has especially been effective on the brain and behavior developments of adolescents and their mental states and well-being. As a matter of fact, one of the emotions that reflect the adolescence period is anger. Within the scope of this study, 406 adolescents between the ages of 1214 were reached in the Küçükçekmece disctrict of Istanbul. In this research, relational screening model and agent-based model analysis have been used. In the agent model analysis, it has been observed that psychological resilience has a significant partial role in the effect of internet addiction on trait anger. The internet addiction, trait anger and anger expression and the scores of psychological resilience scales of the adolescents were studied in terms of certain demographical characteristics (gender, the length of internet use, diet and sleeping habits) during the “Covid-19” pandemic process. Anger introjection scores have been found higher in female participants than males. Anger management and psychological resilience of the participants who have better diet have been found high. It has been observed that anger and internet addiction levels increase with the increase in the length of internet use while with less time on the internet, the level of anger management and psychological resilience increases. It has also been observed that the level of anger expression increases and anger management decreases when the daily total sleeping hours of the participant is below the average. Internet addiction scores have been found higher in male participants. No sponso

MICROELEMENTS IN THE LANDS OF THE AZERBAIJAN REPUBLIC

Microelements are necessary to support life. However, in larger or lower amounts, they may become more important and critical. They may be accumulated in biological systems and become a significant health hazard. The main scope of this study was to determine the amount of microelements in soil in order to evaluate the relation between microelement content of soil and its health effect in some regions in the Republic of Azerbaijan. Endemic health problems are widespread in the region. For instance, endemic goitre, a type of goitre that is associated with dietary iodine deficiency, has been seen frequently in some regions of the Azerbaijan and many researhers have been working on the relation between microelement content of soil and endemic goitre. During the study, six main regions were determined to collect soil samples and those sites were devided into sub-regions. Totally, 161 soil samples were collected and microelements such as cobalt(Co), copper(Cu), fluorine(F), manganese(Mn), molybdenum(Mo), zinc(Zn) and iodine(I) were measured and the results were compared with the samples where no endemic goitre were noticed. Measurements were also compared with the standards in order to evaluate the magnitude of the problem. Results revealed that the amount of microelements in the Republic of Azerbaijan soil samples varied in a large range even in the different parts of the same region. Especially, the amount of iodine in soil sample was measured low (average, 1.18-7.43 mg/kg) where endemic goitre was freguently seen. It is also revealed that not only the deficiency of iodine was a reason for endemic diseases but also other microelements take role in the existence of such problems in the Republic of Azerbaijan

In this study, the feasibility of using Enteromorpha compressa macroalgae for developing a biosorbent for the use in metal removal from industrial wastewater was discussed in the light of economic models. The net present value and the internal rate of return were used to evaluate the economics of the process. It was concluded that supply to the market as a biosorbent of E. compressa creates an economic benefit to the producing institution

This study was carried out during daytime hours at a university with the aim of providing evaluations on the impact of indoor noise exposure on anger in young adults in the sample of university students. The questionnaire was carried out with 473 university students studying at various faculties at Okan University, Istanbul, Turkey. The indoor noise measurements were also taken using a sound level meter at various locations where the questionnaires were conducted. A significant difference was found among university students' main scores of trait, state, outraged and hated angers according to the locations having a different noise level where they filled the questionnaire forms. Statistical analysis indicated that there was a significant positive correlation between noise and the trait, state, outraged and hated angers. However, a correlation was not obtained between noise and the controlled anger
