Purpose: The goal of the article is to create a model whose management method will take intoaccount individual needs (client, entrepreneur), implementing the standards of global economicsustainability. The created model allows defining the Sustainable Development Goals in terms ofthe environmental dimension of the circular economy.Methodology/Approach: For article purpose, circular economy was used as a method improvingthe chances of achieving the goals of sustainable development. The statistical significance of thevariables were checked for obtain data. In addition, this process was supported by the Deming cyclein order to be able to respond to changes using the agility methodology.Findings: The results of the research allowed to identify the most important (SDGs), which, whencombined with the trends of the industry/sector, formed a balanced loop taking into account allparticipants and their needs.Implications/limitations: Managing a company according to global standards is a big challenge. The results of an analysis of own needs (an enterprise) should correlate with the needs of stakeholders in the supply chain and with the direction of development of the industry/sector in order to support the domestic economy and be competitive on global markets.Originality/value: Study explains undertaken activities for implementing process of correlation between entities which must take into account the good of the individual and, above all, of the general public. Keywords: sustainable development, agility, circular economy, organizational improvementPaper type: Research pape

Micro-Logistical Aspects of Manufacturing Enterprises in Supply Chain

Manufacturing companies are the crucial link in a supply chain; they shape goods directly as operational subject. Special consideration has been taken of the micro logistics area of these enterprises and the significance that the area plays in the formation of the chain. Production of goods is associated with managing multiple processes, both manufacturing and logistics, and therefore an important factor determining the proper functioning of an enterprises is their relative connection and systematization

Ciągłe doskonalenie technologii informacyjnych odzwierciedla kierunki rozwoju współczesnej gospodarki. Otoczenie takie stwarza przedsiębiorstwom wielkie możliwości podążania za globalnym nurtem i dostosowywania swoich działań do wymagań klientów. Znaczącą rolę w procesach gospodarczych i w samych łańcuchach dostaw odgrywają systemy informacyjne, istotnie ułatwiające pozyskiwanie i przetwarzanie informacji na potrzeby zwiększania efektywności przedsiębiorstw.

The importance of telematic information and logistics indicators for the management of the quality of transport services

Transport companies, whose activities have a significant impact on the economy of the whole of Europe, constantly face new market challenges. The high demand for transport services, even in the time of the Covid-19 pandemic, and the introduction of new regulations by the European Union authorities mean that these enterprises have to increase their efforts on competitive foreign markets. Telematics systems play a crucial role in this battle as they enable the acquisition and processing of data characterizing processes in road transport. In this article, the author undertakes the issue of logistic indicators in theoretical frames, as well as their classification and characteristics as the main source of information about processes. This is followed by the analysis of data obtained from a transport company using a telematics system to manage transport processes in the context of ensuring the quality of services. The aim of the study is to demonstrate the significance of selected logistics indicators in terms of improving the quality of transport services. Statistical analysis is used to study the relationships and impact of individual measures in 2019-2020 as a forecasting tool. The result of the research is finding an appropriate link between the measures and using this knowledge as an opportunity to improve the quality of services

The quality of the decision-making process in road transport

The issue of quality is a very important aspect of the operation of transport companies. In relation to the area of their activity it primarily focuses on the quality of services provided, which can be verified e.g. on the basis of timeliness of deliveries or accepted complaints. This allows for examining the quality after providing the service in order to take future pro-quality actions. However, is it possible to affect the quality of services provided before their provision? The transport process itself is preceded with a range of actions taken within the framework of detailed planning and organization, which can significantly influence the quality of services. The decisions made at the management level are conditioned by many factors determining the course of future events, however, this is not always enough to make the process run uninterruptedly. Therefore, it is important to structure basic actions at the initial stage so as to allow the smooth conduct of the decision-making process for the specific task in order to subsequently focus on the detailed analysis of the actions planned. In the paper, the author attempts to characterize the fundamental factors affecting the decisions taken during the planning and organization of the transport process. The objective of the conducted research is to verify initial decisions and their significance for the improvement in the quality of transport services provided. There was conducted the algorithmization of actions and interpretation of their importance for the quality of decisions taken at the preparatory stage and during transport

The role of fastening loads in the safety management of intermodal transport of truck semi-trailers

Ensuring transport safety is one of the key areas of transport companies' operations. Management and organization processes not only in the intermodal transport are associated with decision-making in regard to adequate load securing, which is exposed to the inertia forces resulting from the movement of transport means. Regardless, the responsibility of individual entities in the process and the applicable insurance, the basic aspect to ensure transport safety is the correct securing of the cargo. In the article, the authors present elements of calculation models for different methods of securing cargo. Calculations were performed for the selected type of load on the specific semi-trailer meeting the requirements of the XL Code adapted for intermodal transport. The analysis of safety management in transport in the aspect of decision-making about the method of securing the cargo was also made

An open data infrastructure for the study of anthropogenic hazards linked to georesource exploitation

Abstract Mining, water-reservoir impoundment, underground gas storage, geothermal energy exploitation and hydrocarbon extraction have the potential to cause rock deformation and earthquakes, which may be hazardous for people, infrastructure and the environment. Restricted access to data constitutes a barrier to assessing and mitigating the associated hazards. Thematic Core Service Anthropogenic Hazards (TCS AH) of the European Plate Observing System (EPOS) provides a novel e-research infrastructure. The core of this infrastructure, the IS-EPOS Platform (tcs.ah-epos.eu) connected to international data storage nodes offers open access to large grouped datasets (here termed episodes), comprising geoscientific and associated data from industrial activity along with a large set of embedded applications for their efficient data processing, analysis and visualization. The novel team-working features of the IS-EPOS Platform facilitate collaborative and interdisciplinary scientific research, public understanding of science, citizen science applications, knowledge dissemination, data-informed policy-making and the teaching of anthropogenic hazards related to georesource exploitation. TCS AH is one of 10 thematic core services forming EPOS, a solid earth science European Research Infrastructure Consortium (ERIC) (www.epos-ip.org)
