Reflexion M\"ossbauer analysis of the in situ oxidation products hydroxycarbonate green rust
The purpose of this study is to determine the nature of the oxidation
products of FeII-III hydroxycarbonate FeII4FeIII2(OH)12CO3~3H2O (green rust
GR(CO32-)) by using the miniaturised M\"ossbauer spectrometer MIMOS II. Two
M\"ossbauer measurements methods are used: method (i) with green rust pastes
coated with glycerol and spread into Plexiglas sample holders, and method (ii)
with green rust pastes in the same sample holders but introduced into a
gas-tight cell with a beryllium window under a continuous nitrogen flow. Method
(ii) allows us to follow the continuous deprotonation of GR(CO32-) into the
fully ferric deprotonated form FeIII6O4(OH)8CO3~3H2O by adding the correct
amount of H2O2, without any further oxidation or degradation of the samples
Pengaruh Penerapan Enterprise Resource Planning terhadap Kinerja Perusahaan Manufaktur dengan Firm Size sebagai Variabel Moderasi
This study aims to examine the effect of enterprise resource planning implementation on the performance ofmanufacturing companies moderated by the size of companies listed on the IDX period 2013-2015. Company size isseen through sales and total assets. Samples were taken by using purposive sampling and meeting the samplecriteria. The analysis technique used in this research is multiple regression analysis. The results show that theimplementation of enterprise resource planning significantly affects the company\u27s performance is reinforced byhigh sales level and also affect the company\u27s performance significantly reinforced by a large asset. The high salesand total assets can improve the performance of companies implementing ERP. Both of these factors have asignificant influence. The results of this study are expected to add to the research literature on the factors thatstrengthen the performance of manufacturing companies that implement ERP. Future research can change the size of the company viewed from the income or the number of employees
Effects of Selective Deletion of Tyrosine Hydroxylase from Kisspeptin Cells on Puberty and Reproduction in Male and Female Mice.
The neuropeptide kisspeptin, encoded by Kiss1, regulates reproduction by stimulating GnRH secretion. Kiss1-syntheizing neurons reside primarily in the hypothalamic anteroventral periventricular (AVPV/PeN) and arcuate (ARC) nuclei. AVPV/PeN Kiss1 neurons are sexually dimorphic, with females expressing more Kiss1 than males, and participate in estradiol (E2)-induced positive feedback control of GnRH secretion. In mice, most AVPV/PeN Kiss1 cells coexpress tyrosine hydroxylase (TH), the rate-limiting enzyme in catecholamine synthesis (in this case, dopamine). Dopamine treatment can inhibit GnRH neurons, but the function of dopamine signaling arising specifically from AVPV/PeN Kiss1 cells is unknown. We generated a novel TH flox mouse and used Cre-Lox technology to selectively ablate TH specifically from Kiss1 cells. We then examined the effects of selective TH knock-out on puberty and reproduction in both sexes. In control mice, 90% of AVPV/PeN Kiss1 neurons coexpressed TH, whereas in mice lacking TH exclusively in Kiss1 cells (termed Kiss THKOs), TH was successfully absent from virtually all Kiss1 cells. Despite this absence of TH, both female and male Kiss THKOs displayed normal body weights, puberty onset, and basal gonadotropin levels in adulthood, although testosterone (T) was significantly elevated in adult male Kiss THKOs. The E2-induced LH surge was unaffected in Kiss THKO females, and neuronal activation status of kisspeptin and GnRH cells was also normal. Supporting this, fertility and fecundity were normal in Kiss THKOs of both sexes. Thus, despite high colocalization of TH and Kiss1 in the AVPV/PeN, dopamine produced in these cells is not required for puberty or reproduction, and its function remains unknown
A Multi Criteria Recommendation Engine Model for Cloud Renderfarm Services
Cloud services that provide a complete platform for rendering the animation files using the resources in the cloud are known as cloud renderfarm services. This work proposes a multi criteria recommendation engine model for recommending these Cloud renderfarm services to animators. The services are recommended based on the functional requirements of the animation file to be rendered like the rendering software, plug-in required etc and the non functional Quality of Service (QoS) requirements like render node cost, time taken to upload animation files etc. The proposed recommendation engine model uses a domain specific ontology of renderfarm services to identify the right services that could satisfy the functional requirements of the user and ranks the identified services using the popular Multi Criteria Decision Analysis method like Simple Additive Weighting (SAW). The ranked list of services is provided as recommended services to the animators in the ranking order. The Recommendation model was tested to rank and recommend the cloud renderfarm services in multi criteria requirements by assigning different QoS criteria weight for each scenario. The ranking based recommendations were generated for six different scenarios and the results were analyzed. The results show that the services recommended for each scenario were different and were highly dependent on the weights assigned to each criterion
Development of biopolymeric film using natural polymer extracted from Muntingia calabura leaves
Abstract: Over the last decade, there has been an increase in research on innovative biobased products like food packaging, mostly due to concern about worldwide environmental plastic pollution. The use of plant-based natural polymer in the preparation of durable biopolymers and functional polymeric materials offers a viable alternative to synthetic polymers. Their popularity has grown in part due to the environmental degradation created by improper disposal of plastic packaging. Adequate hydroxyl moiety, quick accessibility, environmentally-safe, and reaction affinity with other substances make cellulose a basic factor for polymeric synthesis and for preparing antimicrobial food packaging for the shelf life extension of perishable foods. This work aims to prepare a film-forming polymeric solution with leaves of Muntingia calabura(MC) as an active ingredient for the formation of the Muntingia calabura cellulose-based biopolymeric film (MCCF). Cellulose, extracted from the leaves of MC and the leaf extract were used for the preparation of the biopolymeric film. The properties of cellulose-based film were studied. The XRD and FTIR spectroscopy recognized the interaction of the cellulose/Poly vinyl alcohol blend; the morphology of the film was studied by SEM, where we can understand the surface of the film and texture of the extracted cellulose. The prepared MCCF shows promising antimicrobial activity against bacteria and fungi present in the oral environment. Hence this film could be suitable for food packaging and wound healing applications. The results of the present investigation suggest that the biosynthesized polymeric film from Muntingia calabura leaves has a good potential to be a remarkable technological innovation to prevent microbiological contamination to ensure food safety and preservation
