Surface roughness modeling of CBN hard steel turning

Study in the paper investigate the influence of the cutting conditions parameters on surface roughness parameters during turning of hard steel with cubic boron nitrite cutting tool insert. For the modeling of surface roughness parameters was used central compositional design of experiment and artificial neural network as well. The values of surface roughness parameters Average mean arithmetic surface roughness (Ra) and Maximal surface roughness (Rmax) were predicted by this two-modeling methodology and determined models were then compared. The results showed that the proposed systems can significantly increase the accuracy of the product profile when compared to the conventional approaches. The results indicate that the design of experiments modeling technique and artificial neural network can be effectively used for the prediction of the surface roughness parameters of hard steel and determined significantly influential cutting conditions parameters

Анализа квалитета виличних костију код типа 2 дијабетеса и алкохолне цирозе јетре: анатомска и микроструктурна анализа

Increasing prevalence of type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) in general population due to the aging society, sedentary lifestyle, and obesity results in growing numbers of T2DM patients in dental practice. Recent studies have suggested increased bone fragility in patients with T2DM; however, the mechanisms of T2DM-associated bone changes in jaw bones are still poorly understood. Indeed, patients with T2DM often present with a need for dental implant placement in the edentulous alveolar bone. Furthermore, titanium fixation screws, which need to be placed in the mandibular angle in case of a fracture located in that region are sometimes required in T2DM patients. T2DM-related alterations in jaw bone quality, which may have direct effects on osseointegration and implant survival in this patient population, have not yet been investigated. The question remains as to whether alterations in jaw bone quality in T2DM contribute to implant failure. Alcoholic liver cirrhosis (ALC) has a proven negative influence on bone quality at various skeletal sites, such as femur and spine. On the other hand, evidence about the influence of ALC on jaw bone quality is scarce. Dental patients with a history of alcohol abuse and possibly compromised liver function sometimes need surgical interventions on the jaw bone, in post-traumatic cases, tooth extractions etc. Information about the jaw bone quality in patients with ALC is needed to make an evidence-based decision about the possibilities for oral and maxillofacial surgery in these patients. There is still poor understanding of bone quality in patients with T2DM and ALC; however, these patients, especially T2DM patients, are often met in the dental practice and decisions to treat or not to treat them are usually based on personal opinion of a physician. Therefore, there is a great need for evidence-based recommendations in clinical practice. In that context, we believe that understanding how T2DM and ALC affect bone quality on several hierarchical levels of observation could have significant clinical relevance in medicine and dentistry. Currently, patients treated with different antidiabetic medications are not distinguished clearly in clinical practice and the current clinical approach is not based on strong evidence. Therefore, the focus on the effects of T2DM treatment options (Insulin vs. OAD) on bone quality may also be of great practical value in oral and maxillofacial surgery. And it is important to clarify whether T2DM and ALC should be considered absolute or relative contraindications for oral interventions on bone, at least when it comes to the bone tissue status of these patients. The aim of this thesis was to explore bone quality of T2DM and ALC patients compared with healthy control group on several hierarchical levels in the edentulous region of the lower first molar and the mandibular angle, so as to provide structural evidence to estimate possibilities of for common treatments in oral and maxillofacial surgery. The following specific objectives were stated: i. to compare the jaw bone microstructural, compositional, and cellular properties between patients with T2DM and healthy controls; ii. to investigate the influence of OAD vs. insulin in T2DM individuals in a site-specific manner, and to iii. to compare the jaw bone microstructural, compositional, and cellular properties between individuals with ALC and healthy controls, in a site-specific manner...Повећана учесталост типа 2 дијабетес мелитуса (Т2ДМ) у општој популацији због старења друштва, неактивног стила живота и гојазности доводи до повећаног броја пацијената са Т2ДМ у стоматолошкој пракси. Недавна истраживања указују на повећану ломљивост костију пацијената са Т2ДМ. Упркос томе, још увек се врло мало зна о механизмима промена на костима које се јављају у Т2ДМ. Код пацијената са Т2ДМ често постоји потреба за уградњом зубних имплантата у безуби алвеоларни гребен. Осим тога, титанијумски шрафови за фиксацију, који се постављају у угао доње вилице у случају прелома локализованог у том региону, су некада потребни код пацијената са Т2ДМ. Промене у квалитету кости код Т2ДМ које могу имати директне ефекте на осеоинтеграцију и опстанак имплантата у овој популацији пацијената још увек нису истражени. Остаје питање да ли постоје промене у квалитету кости вилица у Т2ДМ које могу допринети губитку имплантата. Алкохолна цироза јетре (АЦЈ) има доказано негативан утицај на квалитет костију на различитим местима скелета, попут бутне кости и кичме. Међутим, докази о утицају АЦЈ на квалитет кости вилице су оскудни. Стоматолошким пацијентима који конзумирају алкохол и потенцијално имају оштећену функцију јетре понекад су потребне хируршке интервенције на костима вилица (нпр. у посттрауматским случајевима, вађење зуба итд.). У том смислу су неопходни подаци о квалитету кости вилице код пацијената са АЦЈ, пре свега да би се донела одлука заснована на доказима о могућностима оралне и максилофацијалне хирургије код ових пацијената. Jош увек се мало зна о квалитету кости код особа са Т2ДМ и АЦЈ. Ипак, ови пацијенти, нарочито они са Т2ДМ, често се срећу у стоматолошкој пракси, где се одлуке о томе да ли да се они хируршки збрину или не често заснивају на субјективној процени лекара. Због тога у клиничкој пракси постоји потреба за препорукама заснованим на доказима. У том смислу, разумевање како Т2ДМ и АЦЈ утичу на квалитет кости на неколико хијерархијских нивоа посматрања би могло имати велики клинички значај у медицини и стоматологији. Данас се не прави јасна разлика између пацијената третираних различитим антидијабетицима, и савремени клинички приступ није базиран на чврстим доказима. Због тога би истраживање ефекта различитих терапијских опција код Т2ДМ (инсулин и орални антидијбетици (ОАД)) на квалитет кости такође могло бити од великог практичног значаја у оралној и максилофацијалној хирургији. Важно је и разјаснити да ли би Т2ДМ и АЛЦ требало посматрати као апсолутну или као релативну контраиндикација за оралнохируршке интервенције на кости, бар када је у питању коштани статус ових пацијената. Штавише, микроархитектурне и микроструктурне карактеристике виличних костију особа са Т2ДМ које узимају инсулин или ОАД су такође од клиничког значаја. Општи циљ ове тезе је био да се на неколико хијерархијских нивоа посматрања истражи квалитет кости у безубој регији доњег првог молара и угла доње вилице код особа са Т2ДМ и АЦЈ у поређењу са здравом контролном групом, како би се поставила основа за унапређење процеса клиничког одлучивања у оралној хирургији, имплантологији и максилофацијалној хирургији код ових пацијената..

Inheritance of flower type in some grape varieties (Vitis vinifera L.)

This paper presents the results and genetical analysis of crossing grape varieties Vitis vinifera L. with regard to the inheritance of flower type. From the results obtained, following conclusions could be drawn:The flower type (hermaphrodite and female) in grape varieties Vitis vinifera L. is controlled by two allels. The genetic factor for female flower is designated by sr and the factor for hermaphroditism by Sh. Factor Sf is recessive to Sh.Varieties with hermap hrodite flower type are either homozygous (Sh Sh) or heterozygous (Sh Sf) for hermaphroditism. Out of 20 tested varieUes with hermaphrodite flowers, 14 were heterozygous and 6 homozygous. The following varieties are homozygous: Datier, Smederevka, Queen of the Vineyards, Volovsko Oko, Traminer Red and Zilavka. Heterozygous varieties are: Muscat Hamburg, Chasselas Buvie, Pearl of Csaba, Chasselas White, Italia, Italian Riesling, Merlo, Beli Medenac, Bagrina, Semillon, Pinot Noir, Prokupac, Šljiva, Muscat Otonel.Varieties with functionally female flowers are probably homozygous, i. e. Sf Sf. These are: Čaus and Crveni Drenak. In all combinations of crossings, seedlings having homogametic flower type were in deficit.Considering the improvement of grape varieties it is suggested to use hermaphrodite varieties of t he genetic constitution Sh Sh

Редефинисање модела учешћа грађана у урбанистичком планирању Србије у складу са комуникативно колаборативном парадигмом

This work represents a contribution to the study of modern architecture and urbanism of the twentieth century in Belgrade. The paper investigates the architecture of public buildings on the principles of modern architecture as a significant and broad cultural phenomenon in the wider Belgrade and the Yugoslav territory in the period since 1918 untill 1941. During this period public buildings were built with the applied principles of modern architecture and urbanism. The work starts from the initial analysis of the modern movement of ideas between the two World Wars in Europe and the reflections that had the architects who were taking this model in the design and implementation of public buildings in Belgrade. Systematization and critical analysis of realized examples of public buildings to investigate the extent to which modern Belgrade was represented in the architectural production of the time, who were models from European experiences taken over directly and indirectly in the functional organization, volumetry architectural, design and materialization of objects. The work includes a chronological, critical analysis of the most important objects implemented in this period. The research starts from the premise that the preparation of the public buildings in Belgrade were present modern and avant‐garde ideas whose principles were established in the context of key historical, social and cultural phenomenon in Europe and Serbia. This attitude on the issue of research presupposes the establishment of correlation between the principles of modern architecture and implementation by local authors as well as theoretical reflection of changes that is generated in the development of modern Belgrade, which have promoted a new state and modern society...Планерску теорију и праксу последњих петнаестак година Карактерише трагање за системом планирања, које је у процесу за штите и промовисања заједничких вредности, способно за идентификацију и осетљиво на аспирације грађана. Такав приступ планирању није нов, и по неким карактеристикама се може успоставити релација са концептима заступничког или адвокатског планирања формулисаним шездесетих година прошлог века. Међутим, данас је, поред изузетно високог степена раширености идеје о неопходности укључивања широког спектра актера у процес планирања, концепт изузетно добро и широко теоријски заснован, са веома распрострањеном и развијеном провером у пракси планирања, тако да се може говорити о новој комуникативно-колаборативној парадигми планирања. Термини који се везују за различите варијетете планирања са наглашеним учешћем грађана су: планирање "одоздо-нагоре" (енг. "bootom-up"), изворно планирање (енг. "grassroot"), партиципативно планирање (енг. "participative planning"), демократско планирање и планирање са заједницом (енг. "community planning"). У раду се истражује концепт планирања у којем се учешће грађана, као једне од група актера, сматра не само пожељним, већ неопходним предусловом доброг планирања и управљања развојем. Трага се за одговорима на питања: шта је то ефикасно и ефективно учешће, ко су они који (би требало да) учествују и на који начин то (би требало да) чине, да ли су информационе и комуникационе технологије (ИКТ) реална подршка на коју се можемо ослонити, и да ли је и колико је заиста могуће остварити савремен концепт учешћа грађана / планирања, те тиме и потенцијално унапредити урбанистичко планирање у Републици Србији. Истраживање се одвија на два нивоа: (1) На нивоу општих концептуалних опредељења, и њихове операционализације до нивоа препорука, базираним на проучавању релевантних теоријских радова и светских искустава и примера у овој области, а затим, на основу тога, и на (2) Нивоу урбанистичког планирања у Србији, као истраживачком полигону на ком се општи ниво концептуалних опредељења и њихове операционализације проверавају, а затим и прилагођавају формулисањем модела планирања адекватног истраживаном полигону. Redefining the model of citizen participation in urban planning in Serbia according to the communicative-collaborative paradigm

Планерску теорију и праксу последњих петнаестак година Карактерише трагање за системом планирања, које је у процесу за штите и промовисања заједничких вредности, способно за идентификацију и осетљиво на аспирације грађана. Такав приступ планирању није нов, и по неким карактеристикама се може успоставити релација са концептима заступничког или адвокатског планирања формулисаним шездесетих година прошлог века. Међутим, данас је, поред изузетно високог степена раширености идеје о неопходности укључивања широког спектра актера у процес планирања, концепт изузетно добро и широко теоријски заснован, са веома распрострањеном и развијеном провером у пракси планирања, тако да се може говорити о новој комуникативно-колаборативној парадигми планирања. Термини који се везују за различите варијетете планирања са наглашеним учешћем грађана су: планирање "одоздо-нагоре" (енг. "bootom-up"), изворно планирање (енг. Тhe implementation of mobile health model based on wearable computing

Предмет истраживања дисертације је развој модела мобилног здравства заснованог на wearable computing-у. Централни проблем који се разматра у докторској дисертацији је испитивање могућности примене и интеграције wearable computing-а, Интернета интелигентних уређаја (енг. Internet of Things, IoT), мобилних технологија и сервиса, big data аналитике и рачунарства у облаку за развој сервиса мобилног здравства. Фокус истраживања биће на примени сервиса мобилног здравства у области мерења, праћења и контроле стреса код студената. Увођењем Интернета интелигентних уређаја у мобилно здравство, у области контроле стреса, омогућава се прикупљање података са тела корисника путем сензора. Примена wearable уређаја у процесу контроле стреса лекарима или психолозима треба да омогући добијање информација о психофизичком стању корисника. Применом сервиса електронског здравства измерени подаци се прате, чувају и врши се анализа података. На основу аналитичких резултата могу сe креирати одговарајуће методе за контролу стреса и персонализоване превентивне здравствене поруке намењене корисницима. Предложен је модел мобилног здравства заснован на wearable computing-у који се састоји из система мобилног здравства, wearable система и сервиса за међусобну интеграцију компоненти и интеграцију са електронским здравством. Осим тога, модел обухвата интеграцију мобилног здравства са програмима формалног образовања. У екперименталном делу докторске дисертације предложени модел мобилног здравства заснован на wearable computing-у је имплементиран у образовном окружењу. Систем је евалуиран у реалном окружењу, током одбране завршних радова студената на Факултету организационих наука Универзитета у Београду. Резултати су показали да је коришћење мобилне апликације са садржајима за релаксацију утицало на смањење стреса код студената током одбране завршних радова.The subject of this thesis is development of mobile health model based on wearable computing. The main problem discussed in the thesis is to investigate the possibilities of implementation and integration of wearable computing, Internet of Things, mobile technologies and services, big data analytics, and Cloud computing for the development of mobile health services. By introducing the Internet of Things into mobile healthcare, in the field of stress control, it is possible to collect sensors’ data from the users’ body. The use of the wearable devices in the process of the stress control by physicians or psychologists should enable obtaining information on the psychophysical condition of the user. The measured data could be monitored, stored and analyzed using the e-health services. Appropriate methods for controlling stress and personalized preventive health messages for users can be created based on analytical results. The thesis proposes a mobile healthcare model based on wearable computing. It consists of a mobile healthcare system, wearable systems and services for interconnection of components and integration with electronic health services. In addition, the model includes the integration of mobile healthcare and formal education programs. In the experimental part of the thesis, the proposed model of mobile healthcare based on wearable computing has been implemented in an educational environment. The system was evaluated in a real environment, during the defense of students' thesis at the Faculty of Organizational Sciences, University of Belgrade. The results show that the use of a mobile application with relaxation content affected the reduction of stress among students during their thesis defense. In addition, this thesis outlines the role of the education system in the implementation of mobile healthcare. The approach to designing a course for smart healthcare engineers has been presented. Through key topics of the course, students should gain new skills and knowledge of smart healthcare based modern technologies. The proposed approach was evaluated at the Faculty of Organizational Sciences, University of Belgrade. The results point to the positive outcome of the process of acquiring knowledge, as well as the students' experiences and attitudes about the course

Synthesis of endoperoxides by domino reactions of ketones and molecular oxygen

Domino reactions of ketones with molecular oxygen in the presence of potassium hydroxide and potassium t-butoxide afford cyclic hydroperoxy acetals (3,5-dihydroxy-1,2-dioxanes).
