Social Prosperity Perception in Cultural Tourism Destinations: the Case of Peña de Bernal, Huejotzingo and Yuanhuitlán, México
The present quantitative study with a descriptive design tries to determine the conditions of "social prosperity" of three Mexican cultural tourist destinations, Yanhuitlán, Huejotzingo and Peña de Bernal. These places face similar conditions in aspects like marginalization and poverty but with activities like tourism have tried to reverse these adverse conditions. The objective was to know the perception of their population about the improvement of their living conditions as a result of the tourist activity through the application of surveys carried out in the chosen destinations. The instrument used was a questionnaire with a Likert scale to facilitate the response of the informants and the processing of the information. For the validity and reliability of the measurement instrument a factor reduction analysis and a Cronbach's alpha were elaborated, after which a one-way ANOVA was elaborated to know the differences of means taking the Bonferroni and Scheffe tests. The results show a significant difference between the averages of destinations in how residents perceive prosperity in the selected tourist destinations
Experimental study and modelling of Networked Virtual Environment server traffic
The paradigm of virtual world environment arises
as an useful tool in diverse fields such as e-Health or education,
where they provide a new way of communication and interaction
with end users. Networking capabilities play an important role
in these systems, which motivates the study and understanding
of the gaming network traffic. The present work focuses on Open
Wonderland, a system that provides the basis for the development
of Networked Virtual Environments with educational or health
purposes. The goal of this paper is defining a testing environment
and modelling the behaviour of the outgoing network traffic at
the server side.
Educational resources have become, especially nowadays, one the topics under discussion, above all those related to the use of Information and Communication Technologies. It seems to
us appropriate to think of a way including all didactic resources into a category and assign
them specific features taking into account the different teaching in which they can be developed.
With this paper we suggest a classification which includes all the teaching resources, as well as some selection criteria based on those communication systems represented and, finally, we propose several conditions related to their use
Type III Secretion Effectors with Arginine N-Glycosyltransferase Activity
Type III secretion systems are used by many Gram-negative bacterial pathogens to inject proteins, known as effectors, into the cytosol of host cells. These virulence factors interfere with a diverse array of host signal transduction pathways and cellular processes. Many effectors have catalytic activities to promote post-translational modifications of host proteins. This review focuses on a family of effectors with glycosyltransferase activity that catalyze addition of N-acetyl-d-glucosamine to specific arginine residues in target proteins, leading to reduced NF-κB pathway activation and impaired host cell death. This family includes NleB from Citrobacter rodentium, NleB1 and NleB2 from enteropathogenic and enterohemorrhagic Escherichia coli, and SseK1, SseK2, and SseK3 from Salmonella enterica. First, we place these effectors in the general framework of the glycosyltransferase superfamily and in the particular context of the role of glycosylation in bacterial pathogenesis. Then, we provide detailed information about currently known members of this family, their role in virulence, and their targetsSpanish Ministerio de Economía, Industria y Competitividad , Agencia Estatal de Investigación, and the European Regional Development Fund, grant number SAF2016‐75365‐REuropean Union’s Horizon 2020 e Marie Skłodowska‐Curie grant agreement No 84262
Heuristic usability evaluation on games: a modular approach
Heuristic evaluation is the preferred method to assess usability in games when experts conduct this
evaluation. Many heuristics guidelines have been proposed attending to specificities of games but
they only focus on specific subsets of games or platforms. In fact, to date the most used guideline to
evaluate games usability is still Nielsen’s proposal, which is focused on generic software. As a
result, most evaluations do not cover important aspects in games such as mobility, multiplayer
interactions, enjoyability and playability, etc. To promote the usage of new heuristics adapted to
different game and platform aspects we propose a modular approach based on the classification of
existing game heuristics using metadata and a tool, MUSE (Meta-heUristics uSability Evaluation
tool) for games, which allows a rebuild of heuristic guidelines based on metadata selection in order
to obtain a customized list for every real evaluation case. The usage of these new rebuilt heuristic
guidelines allows an explicit attendance to a wide range of usability aspects in games and a better
detection of usability issues. We preliminarily evaluate MUSE with an analysis of two different
games, using both the Nielsen’s heuristics and the customized heuristic lists generated by our tool.Unión Europea PI055-15/E0

Architecture, design and source code comparison of ns-2 and ns-3 network simulators
Ns-2 and its successor ns-3 are discrete-event simulators. Ns-
3 is still under development, but offers some interesting characteristics
for developers while ns-2 still has a big user base.
This paper remarks current differences between both tools
from developers point of view. Leaving performance and resources
consumption aside, technical issues described in the
present paper might help to choose one or another alternative
depending of simulation and project management requirements.
plasticidad alta.In the present investigation, the superficial evaluation of the flexible pavement will
be developed due to the notorious problem of the state of road conservation that is manifested
in the avenue. Well, when driving, the vehicle must present serviceability and quality
comfort. Thus, in the University Avenue, the first stage of evaluation of the inspection of the
damages present in the identified road sections will be identified, classifying by the type of
pathology and its severity, which will later carry out the appropriate calculations applying
the PCI methodology, which in this case, the quantitative result was 20, that is, “Very Bad”.
In this way, the foamed asphalt technique will be detailed to provide a type of intervention
when an avenue is in a regular classification, making known the construction processes and
everything that covers in terms of the preliminary operational phases and at the same time
exposing the budgetary cost when using this type of recycled asphalt. The vehicle counting
methodology was also used, based on the regulations during the MTC, thus, the registration
was made for a 24-hour week, which classified the types of vehicles, having a control station
at the beginning of the study section, after the collection in the field, the IMD will be
extended with 9,481 vehicles/day. Finally, with the respective evaluation of the study
according to its state of conservation already found, a repair option is proposed with the
foamed recycled asphalt technique, which has advantages for the rolling layer. Well, it is a
stabilizing agent with materials from crushed gravel to marginal soils with high plasticity.Tesi
