    NUMERICAL SOLUTION OF SEIRS MODEL OF ONLINE GAME ADDICTION ON MATHMATICS STUDENTS USING HOMOTOPY PERTURBATION METHOD

    This study aims to determine the numerical solution of the Homotopy Perturbation method as a solution to a numerical model of SEIRS addiction to online games where the data in this study is secondary data from a closed questionnaire in the form of answer choices given to students. This study has a Suspected-Exposed-Infected-Recovered-Suspected (SEIRS) model. Before determining a numerical solution using the RK-4 method, research was first conducted on the SEIRS model of online game addiction, then performed a simulation, then predicted the number of students' addiction to online games. The simulation results using the MAPLE application and this research can be used as a benchmark for parents and students regarding restrictions on the use of online games.Keywords: Homotopy Perturbation Method, Online Game, SEIRS

    The purpose of this study was to find out how the social role of vegetable merchants in Oesao Market, East Kupang District in maintaining the existence of their children at school. The research method used was qualitative. The informants consisted of vegetable merchants and children who study at school in Oesao District. The data were collected through in-depth interviews and documentation. This study showed several findings. First, the parents maintained their children at school by selling vegetables to meet their children's educational needs. Second, there were still many obstacles faced by parents in sending their children to school, especially the low economy. Third, the education fee was expensive, which was difficult for parents to send their children to school

    REVIEW ARTIKEL: AKTIVITAS ENZIM AMILASE DARI BAKTERI ASAM LAKTAT (KARAKTERISTIK DAN APLIKASI)

    Abstrak. Aktivitas enzim adalah kemampuan enzim dalam mengubah sejumlah mol substrat menjadi produk per satuan waktu. Salah satu enzim yang memiliki aktivitas enzim adalah amilase. Amilase adalah enzim ekstraseluler yang mempunyai kemampuan mendegradasi ikatan 1,4-glikosidik pada polimer pati menjadi oligosakarida dengan panjang rantai yang berbeda-beda. Amilase dapat dihasilkan oleh mikroorganisme yaitu bakteri asam laktat. Bakteri asam laktat mempunyai kondisi optimum meliputi suhu, pH, substrat dan waktu inkubasi untuk menghasilkan aktivitas enzim amilase secara maksimum. Secara umum bakteri asam laktat menghasilkan aktivitas enzim maksimum pada pH asam, suhu ruang, substrat pati dan waktu inkubasi antara 22 - 40 jam yang terjadi pada fase log dan fase stasioner. Selain itu, amilase yang dihasilkan oleh bakteri asam laktat juga memiliki aktivitas enzim secara maksimumyang terjadi pada kondisi optimum yaitu pada pH 4 - 6 dan suhu 40 - 50oC. Karakteristik amilase yang memiliki kondisi optimum spesifik, membuat amilase yang dihasilkan oleh bakteri asam laktat dapat diterapkan pada bidang industri, terutama dalam mendegradasi pati. Berdasarkan uraian di atas, maka review artikel ilmiah ini mengulas tentang (1) kondisi optimum bakteri asam laktat dalam menghasilkan aktivitas enzim amilase secara maksimum (2) karakteristik enzim amilase dari bakteri asam laktat dan (3) Aplikasi enzim amilase dari bakteri asam laktat di bidangindustri.Kata kunci: enzim amilase, bakteri asam laktat, karakteristik enzim amilase dan aplikasi. Abstract. Enzyme activity is the ability of the enzyme to convert a number of moles of substrate into products per unit time. One of the enzymes that have enzyme activity is amylase. Amylase is an extracellular enzyme that has the ability to degrade 1,4-glycosidic bonds in starch polymers into oligosaccharides with different chain lengths. Amylase can be produced by microorganisms, namely lactic acid bacteria. Lactic acid bacteria have optimum conditions including temperature, pH, substrate and incubation time to produce maximum amylase enzyme activity. In general, lactic acid bacteria produce maximum enzyme activity at acidic pH, room temperature, starch substrate and incubation time between 22 - 40 hours which occurs in the log phase and the stationary phase. In addition, the amylase produced by lactic acid bacteria also has maximum enzyme activity that occurs at optimum conditions, namely at pH 4-6 and temperatures of 40-50oC. The characteristics of amylase which have specific optimum conditions make the amylase produced by lactic acid bacteria applicable in industrial fields, especially in degrading starch. Based on the description above, the review of this scientific article reviews (1) the optimum conditions of lactic acid bacteria in producing maximum amylase enzyme activity (2) the characteristics of the amylase enzyme from lactic acid bacteria and (3) the application of the amylase enzyme from lactic acid bacteria in the industrial sector.Keywords: enzyme amylase, lactat acid bacteria, characterization enzyme amylase and applicatio

    Comparative analysis of phytochemicals and antioxidant activity of ethanol extract of Centella asiatica leaves and its nanoparticle form

    The high level of flavonoid compounds in pegagan (Centella asiatica) that has been found wildly in Indonesia is considered profitable. The aims of this study were to perform comparative analysis of phytochemical and antioxidant activity of pegagan extract (PE) and pegagan nanoparticle form (PN), as well as predict compounds having antioxidant activity through metabolite profiling. Centella asiatica leaves were extracted using 70% ethanol. Nanoparticle form was made from PE using ionic gelation method. Antioxidant activity was done using DPPH method, with ascorbic acid as positive control. The metabolite profiling process was done using liquid chromatography – mass spectrometry (LC-MS). The result from phytochemical test showed that there were 50 compounds identified in PE and 43 compounds identified in PN. The antioxidant activity in both samples was indicated by IC50 with 56.57 μg/mL for PE 44.67 μg/mL for PN. The findings showed that PN dosage form had better antioxidant activity than PE dosage form, proving that nanoparticle preparations from natural product had potential to be used in pharmaceutical dosage forms. The research concluded that compounds with known antioxidant properties were determined to be responsible for antioxidant activity in Centella asiatica leaves from both PE and PN

    ABSTRACT Background:.The problem of nutrition is the cause of indirect death of mother and child that can still be prevented. From the basic Health Research Data (Riskesdas) in 2013 throughout Indonesia obtained the incidence of LBW of 10,2%. This result is slightly lower than Riskesdas in 2010 which amounted to 11,1%. The higest percentage of low birth weight is in Central Sulawesi province (16,9%) and lowest in Northern Sumatera (7,2%). The occurance of low birth weight in Central Sulawesi 2015 was 190 children. Objective: This study aims to determine the relationship of maternal weight gain during pregnancy with low birth weight incidence at Mamboro Community Health Center in 2015. Methods: This research type is analytic survey, with approach of cross sectional. The population of this study were all mothers who gave birth to the low birth weight infants category examined at the Mamboro Community Health Centre in 2015. Subject selections was conducted in nom-random sampling. The dependent variable is low birth weight. The independent variable is the maternal weight during pregnancy. Data were analyzed using Spearman correlation test. Results: A total of 21 pregnant woman (95,4%) had less weight gain and 1 pregnant women (4,5%) had normal weight gain during pregnancy. The prevalence of low birth weight occurrence in Mamboro Puskesmas area in 2015 are 35 babies. Conclusion: There is a significant correlation between maternal weight gain during pregnancy incidence at Puskesmas Mamboro in 2015 with p value 0,001 (
