Antinaturaleza y eutanasia

The author of this article reviews the different meanings attributed to the concept of euthanasis. The involves a very ample perspective, taking into account the historical, clinical, philosophical, ethical, juridical, sociological, and religious aspects of the question. After this compact and straightforward synthesis, the author then analyzes and criticizes the paradoxes which arise within contemporary society with re ference to the term «euthanasia •. From the fear of pain to collectivistic utilitarianism, the possibility of euthanasia is presented today, although we repeatedly find contradictions in every instance. Finally, the author analyzes the meaning of euthanasia from the point of view of nature, affirming that it is tantamount to the very negation of nature. At the same time, the fallacies to be found in the arguments of the proponents of euthanasia are brought to light. The author then ends with the proposal of reserving the term «euthanasia» -once its confused meaning has been refined- for the sole purpose of signifying the antinatural extermination of man

Los autores presentan en este artículo los resultados de una investigación realizada con tres grupos de sujetos: depresivos, pacientes psiquiátricos no depresivos y normales, en un intento de acercamiento diagnóstico a la depresión a través de técnicas de observación conductual, para probar su validez y eficacia.The authors present in this article the outcomed of a research program carr out with three groups of subjects: depressed outpatients, psychiatric patients not depressed and normal. Análisis experimental de los déficits motivacionales y cognitivos del "Learned Helplessness" en una muestra de adolescentes no depresivos

En este trabajo se analizan los deficits motivacionales y cognitivos del learned helplessness en función de las expectativas de autoeficacia, expectativas de contingencia de respuesta-resultado, locus de control y sexo de los sujetos en una muestra de 274 adolescentes no depresivos. Los resultados indican que los déficits motivacionales solo se presentan en el grupo de baja expectativa de autoeficacia y alta expectativa de contingencia de respuesta-resultado. No se detectaron déficits cognitivos en ninguno de los grupos.Within the present papel the authors analyse the motivational and cognitive deficits of the model of learned heiplessness from the expectations of self-eficacy, expectations of response-outcome contingency, locus of control, and sex of the subjets; using a sample of 274 non depressed teenagers. The results suggest that the motivational deficits are only present within the group that shows low expectations of self-eficacy and high expectations of response-outcome contingency. The cognitive deficits were not found in either of the group
