Primeiramente, apresento a caracterização do contexto socioeducativo, onde descrevo, fundamento e analiso a minha prática pedagógica. This report results in the Curricular Unit Supervised Professional Practice (PPS) II, present in the study plan of the 2nd year of MSC in Preschool Education, in “Escola Superior de Educação de Lisboa”. The internship took places between the 17th of October 2022 to 3 February 2023, in a private kindergarten, that is regulated by the educational model of the Movimento da Escola Moderna (MEM), with a group of twenty-five children, between the ages three to five alongside the kindergarten teacher and an educational assistant. Primarily, I will present a characterization of the socio-educational context, where I will describe, analyse and fundamental my educational practice. Following my research component, it was possible to define problems such as conceptions of the children about friendship: a study case in the kindergarten. Thus, with the objective to give a response to the investigation, I proceeded to make a direct observation, realization of enquiries to the children, education team and subsequently the parents with an online questionnaire. In this way, I intended (i) to know what children's perceptions of friendship are; (ii) understand the role of children in building friendship relationships; (iii) understand the role of the adult in promoting this relationship; (iv) know and identify your choices to play and the reason for them. Considering that friendship in childhood has a key role in the development of the child, in childhood culture (Sarmento, 2004) and in the dimension of affection of the children (Trevisan, 2007) I’ve noticed, threw the data of my investigation, that friendship is seen, by the children, as a sharing moment about playing time. Sharing and liking are central to the concept of friendship and the ways in which children experience it. As an internee, and future kindergarten teacher, I learned how to understand and ponder which the aspects I should prioritize and what will be my role with de children.N/

The main raw material for the construction industry is concrete; whose fundamental components are the fine and coarse aggregates, water and cement. For the obtaining of these materials are necessary activities that generate environmental deterioration, since the aggregates are extracted from quarries or river banks and for each ton made of cement is emitted into the atmosphere a great lot of carbon dioxide. In this way, the present work is developed with the purpose of contributing to the research that can help the conservation of basic natural resources through the use of waste polymers such as waste tire rubber, in the production of concrete, hoping to reduce its harmful environmental impact. This work focuses on the one hand, in the study of the effects of the incorporation to the concrete, of different proportions of scratched rubber coming from waste tires, on its mechanical properties and on its capacity for microwaves absorption. On the other hand, it is also studied the effect of aging by applying different doses of gamma radiation on the before mentioned properties, seeking with this the possibility that it can be used in the construction industry either as structural material or as a coating. Replacements were made between 5% and 25% of rubber in order to do not significantly affecting the mechanical properties of the concrete. The results of the mechanical and microwave tests performed on the different samples with different gamma radiation doses were compared and it was found that open the possibility of research with great benefits such as the use of waste tires in the designing of concrete mixtures and the improvement of its properties. It is considered important to point out the economic benefit in the context of sustainable development, which involves solving the problem of environmental pollution caused by waste tires, to achieve the welfare of the population by improving their quality of life

Association of a serotonin transporter gene (SLC6A4) 5-HTTLPR polymorphism with body mass index categories but not type 2 diabetes mellitus in Mexicans

The serotonergic system has been hypothesized to contribute to the biological susceptibility to type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) and body-mass index (BMI) categories. We investigate a possible association of 5-HTTLPR polymorphism (L and S alleles) in the promoter region of the serotonin transporter gene (SLC6A4) with the development of T2DM and/or higher BMI by analyzing a sample of 138 individuals diagnosed with T2DM and 172 unrelated controls from the Mexican general population. In the total sample genotypes were distributed according to Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium, and S allele frequency was 0.58. There was no statistical association between 5-HTTLPR polymorphism and the development of T2DM in this Mexican population sample (p = 0.12). Nevertheless, logistic regression analysis of the L allele and increased BMI disclosed an association, after adjusting for age, sex and T2DM (p = 0.02, OR 1.74, 95% CI: 1.079-2.808)

The construction industry often goes through changes in paradigms, especially in the use of technologies in designing projects and construction planning. Project processes are essentially a sequence of improvements in a set of information to be transmitted to subsequent phases. Even small projects in the construction industry produce a lot of information. In this context the problem of this work is inserted, consisting of the way in which the process of implementing a building is currently done. Where the process is traditionally fragmented, dependent on paper-based forms of communication, mistakes and omissions occur frequently in these documents resulting in unforeseen costs and delays, problems that result in misunderstanding, costs among others. Two themes are performing fundamental changes in the Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC) industry. The first, Lean Construction (LC), is a conceptual approach to construction management and design that views production as a flow and reduces waste throughout the production process. The second, Building Information Modeling (BIM), is a transformative information technology that integrates processes, improves communication, can improve production processes and planning, and makes control easier. In these circumstances, the present study developed a plan for the implementation of BIM, together with the concepts of Lean for a medium-sized construction company, analyzing and mapping its current process, allowing the identification of wastes and suggestions for solving them. Finally, this study will help in the organization of the steps to be taken for the success of the implantation plan in the construction company. Finally, as final considerations was analyzed how the objective of this study was achieved, the gain of this study for the company, some research limitations and suggestions for future work
