The theory of deviance in social sciences is closely linked to the work of the French sociologist Emilé Durkheim. The theory has been popular since the classical age of sociology, and it is a proper tool for the analysis of different social phenomena. In this paper the author examines the relationship of religious communities and deviance. The different communities' have different teachings and value systems about the social world. The paper examines the effects of these teachings and values systems on social integration. It closely analyses somé particular religious communities to find evidences for deviations from social accepted norms. The author proposes that these deviations from social norms could be used to create typologies of religious communities in a multidimensional way, rather than use the conventional two dimensional typologies. The author proposes religious social capital as a social theory that can serve as the basis of a typology. The paper examines the religious communities in the environment of religious pluralism, where different religious communities can peacefully coexist

Social network based approaches in the research on religion in Central-Eastern Europe

The network science, based on network theory is a fairly new and innovative field and its approaches are groundbreaking in many aspects. The social scientific applications of the network analysis methods and concepts have been built on the results of network science. Thus, the social network analysis of religious networks is grounded on the methodological principles and assumptions of network analysis, especially social network analysis as it has developed in recent years. In this study the author gives a review of the application of social network theory and social network analysis in the sociology of religion in Central and Eastern Europe. This approach of sociological study of religious faith and religious groups is usually based on empirical research and interpretation of the research results. The sociology of religion has a broader perspective in studying religious life, but the religious social networks usually mirror other characteristics of the studied religious entities and phenomena to make it an interesting subject of research

This paper aims to explore the relationship of social capital and religion. Many representatives of contemporary social sciences prefer the social capital theory as a general theory and recognize that the religious sphere is a most important dimension of it. Leading scholars known for popularizing the theory of social capital — almost without exception — emphasize the importance of religious belonging, religious practice and religiosity in the creation of social capital. This writing presents and analyses the most important theoretical approaches and research results in the field of social capital and religion in the United States. It also emphasizes the relevancy of the theory in a Hungarian setting, based on the works and researches of Hungarian scholars of the field. The comparison and analysis of examples from the United States and Hungary designates new ways for research

    Triangle areas in line arrangements

A widely investigated subject in combinatorial geometry, originated from Erd\H{o}s, is the following. Given a point set PP of cardinality nn in the plane, how can we describe the distribution of the determined distances? This has been generalized in many directions. In this paper we propose the following variants. Consider planar arrangements of nn lines. Determine the maximum number of triangles of unit area, maximum area or minimum area, determined by these lines. Determine the minimum size of a subset of these nn lines so that all triples determine distinct area triangles. We prove that the order of magnitude for the maximum occurrence of unit areas lies between Ω(n2)\Omega(n^2) and O(n9/4)O(n^{9/4}). This result is strongly connected to both additive combinatorial results and Szemer\'edi--Trotter type incidence theorems. Next we show a tight bound for the maximum number of minimum area triangles. Finally we present lower and upper bounds for the maximum area and distinct area problems by combining algebraic, geometric and combinatorial techniques.Comment: Title is shortened. The Future of Human Resource Management Education and Training in Tertiary Academic Institutions

The future of human resource management education in higher education institutions in the 21st century is closely related to trends in the field of human resource management. In this regard, the issues of restructuring personnel work have acquired particular acuteness. The problems of increasing labor efficiency and the better use of expensive and scarce human resources are priorities. They have become key to the survival and adaptation of enterprises to new economic situations. It is critically important to convey this information to the students. The future of human resource management education in higher education institutions in the 21st century is closely related to the development of modern trends in human resource management, the development of the concept of corporate culture, training in internationalization, and the study of the principles of motivation and digitalization (see. PolĂłnyi 2019, 2020, 2021). The 2021 change in the model of operation of higher education institutions in Hungary and the consequent formation of the higher education sector created an opportunity to apply modern answers to the new economic challenges in education and training (Farkas 2019; Hrubos 2021; PolĂłnyi&Kozma 2021). This article reviews some of these opportunities and challenges

POLITICAL PARTY PREFERENCES AND VOTING BASES IN SZEGED, 2000-2001 : In this paper the author examines Szeged, the voting basis of the two largest Hungarian political parties, the Hungarian Socialist Party, and the Alliance of Young Democrats. For this comparative sociological inquiry he uses the empirical data of the Szeged Studies 2000 and 2001 surveys. In the first part of the paper, the author reviews the main theories of party preference research, and the most important empirical research con¬ducted in this field. In the second part, he analyses the voting bases, based on the survey data.H e came to the conclusion that voting bases in Szeged are changing from time to time, but there are „constant” political ruptures, which dis¬tinguish the bases clearly, (email: [email protected]
