    Penerapan Kode Etik Jurnalistik Portal Fajar.Co.id dalam Pemberitaan COVID-19

    This research is entitled the implementation of the Journalistic Code of Ethics (KEJ) on the Fajar.co.id portal in reporting on COVID-19. By using descriptive qualitative research type. Data collection methods are observation, interviews, and documentation. Interviews and documentation were conducted with Fajar.co.id editors, Fajar.co.id reporters Data analysis was carried out in three stages, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study indicate that Fajar.co.id journalists in reporting on Covid-19 are appropriate and apply a journalistic code of ethics. This is evidenced by the writing of the identity of the victim of the Covid-19 virus which was published with the permission of the patient himself. The researcher concludes that the implementation of the Journalistic Code of Ethics has objectively been carried out as it should be for Fajar.co.id media journalists, even though it is not optimal, but basically journalists are required to always carry out the demands of the Journalistic Code of Ethics, especially Article 2. This is evidenced by an attitude that has fulfilled the elements -Elements of the Journalistic Code of Ethics especially those contained in article 2. The Fajar.co.id leadership should also conduct periodic evaluations of journalists deployed in the regions.     The Use of Jeopardy Method in the Teaching of Writing Descriptive Text to the Eight Grade Students of Madrasah Tsanawiyah Darul Istiqamah Makassar

    The data were collected through writing test in pre-test and post-test. The result of the data indicated that there was a significant difference between students’ post-test in experimental class and control class. The research discovers that the writing ability of the second grade students of MTs Darul Istiqamah Makassar improved by using Jeopardy Method by the increase of mean score of experimental class that is 40 in the pre-test and 82 in the post-test. The result of the t-test also shown that the use of Jeopardy Method in teaching writing especially in descriptive text was effective in improving the students’ writing skill in descriptive text because the t-test, 4,34, was higher than t-table, 2.024 (4,34 2.024). Based on the finding and discussion of the research, the researcher suggested that Jeopardy Method in teaching was able to use in teaching writing and the researcher concluded that the use of Jeopardy Method was effective and interesting strategy in teaching writing especially in teaching descriptive text

    Quantum Coherence and Path-Distinguishability of Two Entangled Particles

    An interference experiment with entangled particles is theoretically analyzed, where one of the entangled pair (particle 1) goes through a multi-slit before being detected at a fixed detector. In addition, one introduces a mechanism for finding out which of the n slits did particle 1 go through. The other particle of the entangled pair (particle 2) goes in a different direction, and is detected at a variable, spatially separated location. In coincident counting, particle 2 shows n-slit interference. It is shown that the normalized quantum coherence of particle 2, C2\mathcal{C}_2, and the path-distinguishability of particle 1, DQ1\mathcal{D}_{Q1}, are bounded by an inequality DQ1+C2≤1\mathcal{D}_{Q1} + \mathcal{C}_2 \le 1. This is a kind of {\em nonlocal} duality relation, which connects the path distinguishability of one particle to the quantum coherence of the other.Comment: Published versio

    The enthusiasm of 3rd-grade students at SD Negeri 2 Gadingkembar is hindered by a lack of motivation and self-involvement. Some students exhibit low enthusiasm due to a diminished interest in the materials or activities. Student disempowerment affects participation and concentration, while self-isolation contributes to the decline in enthusiasm. Limited group interaction and students' reluctance to ask questions create challenges. Shame, fear of negative evaluation, and lack of self-confidence become obstacles. This qualitative descriptive study adopts a post-positivist approach with a descriptive model to elucidate the learning activeness of 3rd-grade students at SD Negeri 2 Gadingkembar post-Limited Face-to-Face Learning. Conducted on October 23, 2023, the research involves 3rd-grade students as subjects, employing triangulation through observation, interviews, and documentation. The process concludes when saturation is reached, depicting the students' real conditions and emphasizing the relevance and complexity of learning in real-life situations. Based on the research at SD Negeri 2 Gadingkembar, it is evident that the less conducive class condition leads to decreased student concentration and, consequently, diminished learning activeness. The data illustrates that students' poor habits can impede enthusiasm, emphasizing how the development of individual habits and behavior patterns can impact learning motivation. Furthermore, the roles of parents, the surrounding environment, and peers underscore the importance of social support and the creation of a positive environment as key elements in enhancing student motivation for learning

    Energy Efficient Spintronic Devices for Non-volatile Memory and Hardware AI

    Nanomagnetic devices have emerged as a promising alternative to conventional complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor (CMOS) devices due to their low energy dissipation and inherent non-volatility. However, the widespread adoption of these devices requires high-density, high-speed, reliable, scalable, and energy-efficient technologies. This thesis investigates the use of nanomagnetic memory devices as both conventional Boolean memory and multistate memory for hardware AI applications. Magnetic tunnel junctions (MTJs) are nanomagnetic memory devices that can be switched reliably and energy-efficiently using stress-mediated switching. However, realistic material inhomogeneity and scalability pose challenges for stress-mediated switching of MTJs scaled to lateral dimensions below 50 nm. We demonstrate that resonant excitation of MTJs using surface acoustic waves can effectively address the scaling challenges associated with the high anisotropies required for sub-50 nm lateral dimensions. For hardware AI applications, in-memory computing using non-volatile devices offers energy-efficient alternatives to traditional von Neumann computing by bridging the gap between computation and memory units. This approach addresses the significant energy inefficiency caused by the constant shuttling of data between these units. We implemented classification hardware based on deep neural networks (DNNs) using in-memory computing with domain wall (DW)-based non-volatile synaptic devices. Our research shows these DW devices can achieve multistate memories using energy efficient voltage control, however, with low resolution and stochasticity. By devising a strategy to address device stochasticity and limited precision during DNN training, we demonstrated that competitive accuracy can be achieved compared to 32-bit precision synapses, with at least two orders of magnitude energy savings. Additionally, spintronic reservoirs leveraging the rich magnetization dynamics of confined skyrmions are explored for autonomous time series prediction, offering an efficient alternative to recurrent neural networks (RNNs) and long short-term memory (LSTM) networks for edge AI applications. Moreover, we investigate multiferroic structures and rare earth iron garnets (REIGs) for their potential in electric field control of magnetization, offering the possibility of ultra-low energy dissipation in high-density magnetic data storage applications. Our research includes the characterization of novel materials, such as bismuth-substituted yttrium iron garnet (Bi-YIG) on piezoelectric substrates, demonstrating voltage-induced control of magnetic properties. We also explore the static exchange coupling of magnetic multilayers consisting of thulium iron garnet (TmIG) with perpendicular magnetic anisotropy and cobalt iron boron (CoFeB). Incorporating REIGs into MTJs is challenging due to their insulating nature. However, coupling REIGs to a magnetic metal could enable readout of the REIG magnetization if the metal forms the free layer of an MTJ. Additionally, we explore the dynamic coupling between REIGs and CoFeB driven by spin current exchange, excited by ferromagnetic resonance, revealing that the magnetic damping parameter can be controlled by non-local relaxation and coupling. In summary, this thesis contributes to the development of energy-efficient spintronic devices for non-volatile memory and hardware AI applications, addressing challenges in scalability, stochasticity, and material characterization, and paving the way for future advancements in these cutting-edge technologies

    Classroom design is one of the important components in the learning process in the school which demands high innovation and creativity during the class. On the other hand, the teacher as a supervisor in the classroom should pay more attention to the influenced factors of the students’ interest. One of the influenced factors comes from classroom design or environment. In this case, the researcher found that the teachers in SMA Negeri 7 Pinrang have been improving their teaching methods but they do not concern the classroom design. The objective of this research is to know whether the classroom design influences the students’ interest or not in English learning activity of SMA Negeri 7 Pinrang. In doing this research, the researcher held intensive meeting related to designing the classroom to raise the students’ interest in learning English and giving a questionnaire to the students to know their response. The result of this research showed there was a positive and significant influence of classroom design to the students’ interest

    Permasalahan yang muncul dalam penelitian ini adalah (1) Bagaimana pelaksanaan menghafal Alquran mahasiswa STAIN Padangsidimpuan ? (2) Bagaimana hubungan pelaksanaan menghafal Alquran dengan prestasi belajar mahasiswa STAIN Padangsidimpuan? (3) Bagaimana prestasi belajar mahasiswa yang hafal Alquran di STAIN Padangsidimpuan ? Penulisan skripsi ini bertujuan: (1) Untuk mengetahui pelaksanaan menghafal Alquran mahasiswa STAIN Padangsidimpuan. (2) Untuk mengetahui prestasi belajar mahasiswa yang menghafal Alquran di STAIN Padangsidimpuan. (3) Untuk mengetahui hubungan pelaksanaan menghafal Alquran dengan prestasi belajar mahasiswa STAIN Padangsidimpuan. Berdasarkan permasalahan yang diajukan tersebut, maka hipotesis yang muncul adalah Ha: Terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara pelaksanaan menghafal Alquran dengan indeks prestasi belajar mahasiswa STAIN Padangsidimpuan Berdasarkan analisis data maka penelitian ini digolongkan kepada penelitian kuantitatif. Populasi penelitian ini seluruh mahasiswa STAIN Padangsidimpuan yang menghafal Alquran antara 5-30 juz yang berjumlah 20 Orang. Alat pengumpul data dalam penelitian ini adalah angket dan analisis data menggunakan rumus Korelasional Product Moment. Setelah dilakukan perhitungan dengan menggunakan rumus korelasi product moment terdapat hubungan pelaksanaan menghafal Alquran dengan indeks prestasi belajar mahasiswa STAIN Padangsidimpuan dengan diketahui nilai rxy sebesar 0,5736 dan nilai rtabel dengan taraf signifikan 5 % adalah 0,444 dan pada taraf signifikan 1 % adalah 0,561. Nilai rxy 0,5736 lebih besar (>) dari rtabel pada taraf signifikan 5% (0,444) dan pada taraf signifikan 1% (0,561). Selanjutnya untuk mengetahui kesignifikanan dilakukan uji t dengan hasil thitung 2.9712 lebih besar (>) dari ttabel pada taraf signifikan 0,05 (1.725) dan pada taraf signifikan 0,01(2.528) , maka hipotesis diterima artinya ada hubungan yang signifikan antara pelaksanaan menghafal Alquran dengan indeks prestasi belajar mahasiswa STAIN Padangsidimpua

    Exploring the effects of mindful eating, self-kindness and self-distancing on promoting healthier eating behaviours

    The prevalence of obesity has been on the rise, and using mindfulness and self-compassion based interventions have been suggested to promote healthier eating behaviours. Recently, a mindful eating specific tool, namely Mindful Construal Diary (MCD) was developed, and displayed significant improvements in mindfulness, self-compassion and weight loss. The main aim of the current thesis was to extend on the existing knowledge of mindfulness, mindful eating and self-compassion, and their positive effects on eating behaviours using methods that are easy and practical to implement, as well as explore novel approaches, such as self-kindness and self-distancing that have not yet been explored within food intake and regulation. Chapter 1 described the general background of mindfulness, mindful eating, self-compassion, self-kindness and self-distancing, and evaluated the current literature. Chapter 2 discussed the general methodology of the empirical chapters. Chapter 3 explored the association of mindfulness, mindful eating and self-compassion with maladaptive eating behaviours amongst patients who have clinical obesity. Chapter 4, Chapter 5 and Chapter 6 explored the effect of mindfulness using the MCD on decreasing attentional biases towards food cues, reducing the portion size effect and promoting healthier food choices. Chapter 7 explored the effect of self-kindness in reducing energy intake of high energy dense (HED) foods and promoting the intake of low energy dense (LED) foods. Chapter 8 explored the effect of self-distancing on energy intake through chocolate consumption after a negative state affect. Chapter 9 explored the effect of classical music as a primary environmental tool to eat mindfully, and in effect, reduce the intake of HED foods. The findings from the Chapters suggested mindfulness, mindful eating and self-compassion were associated with eating behaviours, such as grazing and emotional eating, but mindful eating was also associated with other eating behaviours that are often barriers to weight loss success, such as external eating and fat consumption. Moreover, using the MCD appeared to promote a mindful eating experience amongst participants, and in effect, facilitate healthier eating behaviours through reducing the portion size effect and lowering intake of HED food. In addition, the novel concept of self-kindness suggested to increase the intake of LED foods, but this effect was limited. Furthermore, self-distancing appeared to reduce the consumption of chocolate after a negative state affect. Finally, briefly listening to classical music did not appear to enhance a mindful eating experience, but it may be beneficial in regulating the intake of HED savoury foods. Chapter 10, the final Chapter reviewed the current findings in relation to previous research and reflected on the clinical and non-clinical implications. The present thesis suggests mindfulness, mindful eating, self-compassion, self-kindness and self-distancing may indeed be beneficial in facilitating healthier eating behaviours

    Penelitian ini membahas tentang seorang tokoh pemikir Muslim Abad Pertengahan yang membahas tentang konsep politik khususnya tentang Etika politik Islam. Tokoh tersebut ialah Ibnu Khaldun. Kecerdasan dan kepintaran beliau dalam menjelaskan konsep, sistem serta sejarah politik pada masanya yang dimana masih menjadi referensi para politisi yang terlibat kancah politik dengan memperhatikan Etika berpolitik yang memiliki landasan teologis yang cukup kuat. Dimana kecerdasan beliau dijuluki sebagai bapak sosiologis politik dan sejarah, dan ilmuan yang cukup terkenal di dunia barat dan timur. Penelitian ini ialah penelitian tokoh yang dimana penyajian sumber data nya diambil berdasarkan kajian literature dan objek dari penelitian ini adalah pemikiran Ibnu Khaldun tentang Etika Politik Islam (Kekuasaan dan Negara). Adapun hasil dari penelitian ini adalah:Ibnu Khaldun menjelaskan bahwa kedudukan penguasa adalah kedudukan yang terhormat dan diperebutkan, karena memberikan kepada orang yang memegang kedudukan itu segala macam kekayaan duniawi dan kepuasan lahir batin.Bentuk Negara yang ditawarkannya perlu dipahami secara majazi-historis dengan mempertimbangkan kondisi social dan keinginan masyarakat. Manakala manusia berada pada kehidupan social yang demikian mengglobal, maka manusia perlu mendasarkan tindakannya pada logika realistic-religius, bukan emosional dan egosentrisnya. Adapun konsep Ashabiyah yang dikemukakan oleh Ibn Khaldun itu sama dengan konsep nasionalisme atau patriotism (solidatitas social). Sehingga jika dihubungkan dengan Etika, maka antara orang yang dilindungi (rakyat) dan yang melindungi (pemimpin) bersedia untuk saling membantu karena perasaaan kebersamaan, kekeluargaan, dan perasaan saling menghormati dan melindungi. Pemikiran- pemikiran Ibnu Khaldun tanpa begitu selektif dan fleksibel. Hal ini dikarenakan situasi dan kondisi yang penuh gejolak dengan pergolakan (politik, social, agama) yang mengitari kepribadian dan hidup Ibnu Khaldun

    Teh Celup banyak dipilih karena alasan kepraktisannya, namun Teh Serbuk tetap jadi favorit di sebagian kalangan masyarakat. Itu terbukti dari hasil wawancara yang mengatakan bahwa kualitas dari produk Teh Serbuk Bendera itu bagus, karena memberikan warna yang pekat dan rasa yang nikmat, akan tetapi ada keraguan akan kehalalan produk tersebut karena pada kemasan tidak terdapat label halal. Rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah apakah ada pengaruh kualitas produk dan label halal terhadap keputusan pembelian Teh Serbuk Bendera. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kualitas produk dan label halal terhadap keputusan pembelian Teh Serbuk Bendera. Pembahasan dalam penelitian ini berkaitan dengan ilmu pemasaran. Sehubungan dengan itu, pendekatan yang dilakukan adalah teori-teori yang berkaitan dengan keputusan pembelian, kualitas produk dan label halal. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif. Sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik Accidental sampling dengan jumlah responden sebanyak 66 responden. Teknik analisis yang digunakan adalah uji validitas dan reliabilitas, uji asumsi dasar, uji asumsi klasik, uji hipotesis dan analisis regresi linear berganda dengan menggunakan SPSS versi 23. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat pengaruh kualitas produk terhadap keputusan pembelian teh serbuk bendera dibuktikan dari hasil t diperoleh thitung> ttabel. Tidak terdapat pengaruh label halal terhadap keputusan pembelian teh serbuk bendera dapat dilihat dari hasil uji t diperoleh nilai thitung Ftabel
