[EN] The following work focuses on a chronological study based on the catastral plans and also on the images corresponding to the different periods of changes in the population center of Patraix to differentiate the footprint of the most important movements that occurred in the neighborhood and that we can observe today as they have conditioned the layout and urban alignments. So we've divided the study into three major chapters based on consequences that have shaped the social aspect as both urban and also correspond to the catastral plans that have been made. We start therefore late nineteenth century, when Patraix was one of the independent populations from the city of Valencia with other population center as were Campanar or Poblats Marítims where the main economic activity was agriculture. Then we observe one of the most important changes to Patraix as was the process of annexation to the city as a result of the arrival of industrialization and incorporating advances such as rail or the steam engine and the need to accommodate the new working population immigrant. And finally, a chapter on urban process that suffers Patraix to consolidate its layout and getting the consideration of one of the neighborhoods of Valencia, from the 70's to the present day through the approval of the various Internal Reform Plans. Finally, we will analyze and quote one of the Protection Plans of Patraix's historical population center and make several proposals that have their reasining on the previous study.Más Jaramillo, R. Hand Tracking and Gesture Recognition for Human-Computer Interaction
The proposed work is part of a project that aims for the control of a videogame based on hand gesture recognition. This goal implies the restriction of real-time response and unconstrained environments. In this paper we present a real-time algorithm to track and recognise hand gestures for interacting with the videogame. This algorithm is based on three main steps: hand segmentation, hand tracking and gesture recognition from hand features. For the hand segmentation step we use the colour cue due to the characteristic colour values of human skin, its invariant properties and its computational simplicity. To prevent errors from hand segmentation we add a second step, hand tracking. Tracking is performed assuming a constant velocity model and using a pixel labeling approach. From the tracking process we extract several hand features that are fed to a finite state classifier which identifies the hand configuration. The hand can be classified into one of the four gesture classes or one of the four different movement directions. Finally, using the system's performance evaluation results we show the usability of the algorithm in a videogame environment
A refraction/wide-angle reflection seismic profile through the Iberian Chain: preliminary report
As a result of the Eurasian and African plates convergence, Tertiary intraplate deformation of the Iberian plate gave rise to the basement-involved thrust-system of the Iberian Chain. Subsequently, a crustal thickening beneath the Iberian Chain was produced, as deduced from Bouguer anomaly maps. A very preliminary interpretation of a new seismic profile through the Iberian Chain is presented, which leads us to infer a crustal thickening beneath the central part of the profile, where Moho depths of at least 40 km should be reached
Depositional trend that characterized the post-orogenic sedimentary fill in the southern sector of the Guadalquivir Basin has been established by means of sedimentological analysis of Pliocene marine deposits from the Cadiz coast (SW Spain). Lithofacies indicate important variations of depositional regime, alternating calms and storm periods with occasional oceanographic events, which are characterized by the deposition of bioclastic and boulder deposits. According to the features and fossil content,
several lithofacies types have been identified, from muddy sands to sandstones, calcarenites, bioclastic accumulations, and large boulder accumulations. Sands, sandstones and calcarenites show features which indicate a seasonal depositional regime, while bioclastic and large boulder beds show different features respect to the over and underlying beds, having been classified as event deposits. The origin of the event deposits and the involved depositional processes is also discussed. Both, lithofacies
and tectonic setting are coherent with historical data, and indicate that these deposits were generated by very-high energy oceanographic events, such as major storms or tsunamis.

[ABSTRACT]
A detailed sedimentological study of the first synrift continental deposits
recorded in the Bijuesca Halfgraben (Bijuesca and Ciria Formations), has allowed
to understand the stratigraphic architecture of the sediments which
record the beginning of the extension in this structure. The Bijuesca Fm consists
of detrital sediments arranged in three different alluvial fan (i.e., proximal,
medium and distal) facies associations. This unit is made up by two
retrograding sequences that consist of siliciclastics and carbonate detrital
deposits eroded from the Jurassic prerift units. These sequences record sedimentation
in an alluvial fan system with low-efficiency of transport. The Ciria
Fm consists of lacustrine carbonate sediments arranged in shallowing-upwards
sequences. The predominance of pedogenic modifications affecting
the lacustrine sediments and the absence of deep lacustrine facies, allow
classifying this lake system as a low-gradient ramp margin lake with low energy.
The characteristics of both depositional systems agree with the tectonic
situation supposed for the early stages of a rift system
