A survey of the biodiversity of wood-decaying Basidiomycetes associated with Pinus pumila (the dwarf Siberian pine), a highly characteristic woody plant of Northeast Siberia and the Kamchatka Peninsula, is presented for the first time. Thirty-two species of wood-decaying Basidiomycetes were recorded in the area for this tree, ofwhich twenty-seven were described the first time: 19 species in the Magadan region and 9 in the Kamchatka Peninsula. Communities of wood-decaying fungi associated with P. pumila have low biodiversity and consist of 16 species in the Kamchatka Peninsula and 21 species in the Magadan region, with only 5 of them being common to both areas. All fungi associated with dwarf Siberian pine belong to widespread species and are not specialized to this tree: they are extremely low in numbers and their composition strongly varies in different habitats. This shows that this tree does not have its own specialized and stable complex of wood-decaying Basidiomycetes. Keywords: biodiversity, Czekanowski-Sørensen index, host-specializatio

Initial stages of dead fallen wood decomposition in the gradient of pollution with copper smelter emissions

The rate of dead fallen wood decomposition varies across the sections of trunk and the tree species: most rapid decomposition occurs in the upper part of the trunk (the loss of basic density on average is 4.4 % for spruce and 2.0 % for fir per year), most slowly — in the bottom parts (2.7 % and 0.4 % respectively). The rate of coarse woody debris (CWD) decomposition did not depend from the influence of industrial pollution. The share of spruce CWD, inhabited by wood-destroying fungi, was significantly higher (р<0.01) in background area as compared to polluted one; the share of fir CWD did not differ significantly among the areas of investigation.Работа выполнена при финансовой поддержке РФФИ (проект 14–04–31488) и программы фундаментальных исследований УрО РАН (проект 15–12–4–27)

SUBSTRATE SPECTRA AND DISTRIBUTION OF SPECIES GENUS DAEDALEOPSIS SCHROET

In Russia, genus Daedaleopsis Schroet. is represented by three morphological species: D. confragosa, D. septentrionalis and D. tricolor . It is shown that the species differ in the distribution and substrate spectra in this part of their areals: D. confragosa predominantly occurs on Salix, D. septentrionalis and D. tricolor on Betula, and apart from D. septentrionalis have the more limited distribution compared with D. confragosa and D. tricolor.Работа выполнена при поддержке Программы 211 Правительства РФ (соглашение № 02.A03.21.0006)
