    This study is based on the thought of several factors that affect customer satisfaction with the Bank. Competition in the banking business world is very tight, with a large number of banks and their varying competing products or services offered. Currently the bank takes effort to get potential customers and retain existing customers. By understanding the needs, wants and demands of customers, by providing quality service banking firms, banks must meet at least five criteria of quality of service is often called RATER so can create loyal customers, namely reability, assurance, tangible (physical evidence), empathy (communication), and responsiveness (quick response) to meet the criteria of the quality of service it will be creating customer satisfaction. The event is held at. BRI (Persero) Tbk, Branch Pinaesaan Manado, with the aim to determine influence of service quality on customer satisfaction BritAma. In addition this study are expected to be input to the leadership and employees of PT. BRI (Persero) Tbk, Branch Manado Pinaesaan and a contribution in solving the problem. Research was conducted by the method of observation, interviews, and questionnaires were addressed to the 50 respondents, of which each respondent had to fill out a list of questions. The results of this study to answer the hypothesis; There is a significant relationship that affects service quality on customer satisfaction, with significant power shows that the determinants of satisfaction or customer satisfaction BritAma depends on these factors are very strong worth the balance of other factors. The results of the t test or correlation thus factors that affect customer satisfaction BritAma is significant at confidence level

    Genetics and epigenetics of liver cancer

    Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) represents a major form of primary liver cancer in adults. Chronic infections with hepatitis B (HBV) and C (HCV) viruses and alcohol abuse are the major factors leading to HCC. This deadly cancer affects more than 500,000 people worldwide and it is quite resistant to conventional chemo- and radiotherapy. Genetic and epigenetic studies on HCC may help to understand better its mechanisms and provide new tools for early diagnosis and therapy. Recent literature on whole genome analysis of HCC indicated a high number of mutated genes in addition to well-known genes such as TP53, CTNNB1, AXIN1 and CDKN2A, but their frequencies are much lower. Apart from CTNNB1 mutations, most of the other mutations appear to result in loss-of-function. Thus, HCC-associated mutations cannot be easily targeted for therapy. Epigenetic aberrations that appear to occur quite frequently may serve as new targets. Global DNA hypomethylation, promoter methylation, aberrant expression of non-coding RNAs and dysregulated expression of other epigenetic regulatory genes such as EZH2 are the best-known epigenetic abnormalities. Future research in this direction may help to identify novel biomarkers and therapeutic targets for HCC. © 2013 Elsevier B.V

    Improved ChIP-chip analysis by a mixture model approach

    <p>Abstract</p> <p>Background</p> <p>Microarray analysis of immunoprecipitated chromatin (ChIP-chip) has evolved from a novel technique to a standard approach for the systematic study of protein-DNA interactions. In ChIP-chip, sites of protein-DNA interactions are identified by signals from the hybridization of selected DNA to tiled oligomers and are graphically represented as peaks. Most existing methods were designed for the identification of relatively sparse peaks, in the presence of replicates.</p> <p>Results</p> <p>We propose a data normalization method and a statistical method for peak identification from ChIP-chip data based on a mixture model approach. In contrast to many existing methods, including methods that also employ mixture model approaches, our method is more flexible by imposing less restrictive assumptions and allowing a relatively large proportion of peak regions. In addition, our method does not require experimental replicates and is computationally efficient. We compared the performance of our method with several representative existing methods on three datasets, including a spike-in dataset. These comparisons demonstrate that our approach is more robust and has comparable or higher power than the other methods, especially in the context of abundant peak regions.</p> <p>Conclusion</p> <p>Our data normalization and peak detection methods have improved performance to detect peak regions in ChIP-chip data.</p

    Additive manufacturing of Ti-alloy: Thermal analysis and assessment of properties

    In this study, 3D printing of Ti6Al4V alloy is realized and the characteristics of the printed layer are examined. The morphological structures and metallurgical changes in the printed layer are assessed. Temperature and stress fields are simulated in line with the experimental conditions. Since the air gaps are present in between the loose alloy powders prior to the printing, the effective properties incorporating the air fraction are determined and the effective properties are used in the simulations. Thermal conductivity of the loose alloy powders with the presence of air gaps is determined by incorporating the virtual experimental technique. It is found that the printed layer is free from micro-cracks and large scale asperities; however, some small pores sites are observed because of the release of air around the loose powders during the printing. Microhardness of the printed surface is higher in the top surface of the printed layer than that of as-received solid alloy. In addition, the friction coefficient of the printed surface remains lower than that of the conventionally produced solid surface.     Use of the intraosseous screw for unilateral upper molar distalization and found well balanced occlusion

    BACKGROUND: The aim of this study was to present a temporary anchorage device with intraosseous screw for unilateral molar distalization to make a space for the impacted premolar and to found well balanced occlusion in a case. CASE PRESENTATION: A 13-year-old male who have an impacted premolar is presented with skeletal Class I and dental Class 2 relationship. The screw was placed and immediately loaded to distalize the left upper first and second molar. The average distalization time to achieve an overcorrected Class I molar relationship was 3.6 months. There was no change in overjet, overbite, or mandibular plane angle measurements. Mild protrusion (0.5 mm) of the upper left central incisor was also recorded. CONCLUSION: Immediately loaded intraosseous screw-supported anchorage unit was successful in achieving sufficient unilateral molar distalization without anchorage loss. This treatment procedure was an alternative treatment to the extraction therapy

    Management of Low-Grade Glioma

    The optimal management of patients with low-grade glioma (LGG) is controversial. The controversy largely stems from the lack of well-designed clinical trials with adequate follow-up to account for the relatively long progression-free survival and overall survival of patients with LGG. Nonetheless, the literature increasingly suggests that expectant management is no longer optimal. Rather, there is mounting evidence supporting active management including consideration of surgical resection, radiotherapy, chemotherapy, molecular and histopathologic characterization, and use of modern imaging techniques for monitoring and prognostication. In particular, there is growing evidence favoring extensive surgical resection and increasing interest in the role of chemotherapy (especially temozolomide) in the management of these tumors.     Logic programming and artificial neural networks in breast cancer detection

    About 90% of breast cancers do not cause or are capable of producing death if detected at an early stage and treated properly. Indeed, it is still not known a specific cause for the illness. It may be not only a beginning, but also a set of associations that will determine the onset of the disease. Undeniably, there are some factors that seem to be associated with the boosted risk of the malady. Pondering the present study, different breast cancer risk assessment models where considered.
