Discovering the Impact of Knowledge in Recommender Systems: A Comparative Study
Recommender systems engage user profiles and appropriate filtering techniques
to assist users in finding more relevant information over the large volume of
information. User profiles play an important role in the success of
recommendation process since they model and represent the actual user needs.
However, a comprehensive literature review of recommender systems has
demonstrated no concrete study on the role and impact of knowledge in user
profiling and filtering approache. In this paper, we review the most prominent
recommender systems in the literature and examine the impression of knowledge
extracted from different sources. We then come up with this finding that
semantic information from the user context has substantial impact on the
performance of knowledge based recommender systems. Finally, some new clues for
improvement the knowledge-based profiles have been proposed.Comment: 14 pages, 3 tables; International Journal of Computer Science &

The moderating effect of risk culture on entreprise risk management implementation in Malaysia
Enterprise risk management (ERM) is a systematic way of assessing risk exposure within business organizations. It is also a comprehensive tool and systematic mechanism to predict the likelihood and impact of events, including unexpected occurrences. The objective of this study is to examine the key determinants of ERM implementation amongst Public Listed Companies (PLC’s). It is also to examine the moderating effect of risk culture on the
relationship between ERM determinants and ERM implementation amongst the listed companies in Malaysia. This research adopted a quantitative orientation to analyze the data obtained from the questionnaire distributed to the companies listed on Bursa Malaysia via their Risk Management Division. Out of 814 PLC’s based on the directory of Bursa Malaysia’s main board, 300 were taken as a sample in this study. The primary data collection
commenced after the pilot test was completed and the data was analyzed using SPSS Version v.18. From the analysis it is found that senior management commitment, chief risk officer, ERM policy, process methodology, risk assessment tool, audit committee, risk management committee, internal audit, rules and regulation and code of practice have a significant and positive relationship with the ERM implementation. The result reveal risk culture is
considered as good moderator by positively interacts or increases the interaction between the
ERM determinants and the ERM implementation. Hierarchical multiple regression indicated that risk culture played the moderating role in the relationship between senior management commitment, chief risk officer, risk assessment tools, risk management committee and ERM implementation. This study provides significant theoretical and practical contributions for the industry, practitioners, researchers and academician, besides providing a framework for ERM implementation in the listed companies in Malaysia. The results of this research have significant implications for stakeholders such as business or professional practitioner including internal auditors, top management, audit committee, standard-setters or even regulatory bodies and academician in Malaysia. The current study is significant as it helps shed light on the relative importance of the leadership, operating framework, governance mechanism and compliance constructs on ERM implementation in Malaysia. The findings of this study contribute to the body of knowledge in the area of risk governance, compliance and control mechanism that linked with the ERM implementation. The results of this study could serve as a guide to develop a strategy for audit actions in the assessment of ERM
practices to further improve the level of ERM implementation by the intended shareholders

The Position of the Modernists on the Qur'anic Text
Modernity is one of the trends imported from the West, just like secularism and globalization, which began to afflict Muslim countries at the beginning of the twentieth century. It is a strange trend, with its characteristics and premises contradicting our values and civilizational heritage in addition to the constants of the Islamic religion. Moreover, it attempts to tamper with the sanctities, dismantle them, and put them on the autopsy table as any historical text, removing all its sanctity or status as a divine text. Despite all efforts to make modernity a success, the Arab and Islamic people rejected it, and it was not accepted by the sons of our Islamic nation, as many imported ideas are, and that religiosity takes root among the sons of Islam as it represents the nation's spirit, aspirations, and future.

Intention Toward Entrepreneurship : The Case of Libyan Master's Students in Universiti Utara Malaysia and Garyounis University
The main objective of this study is to determine whether there is difference in the intention toward entrepreneurship between Libyan male students studying in
University Utara Malaysia (UUM) and Garyounis University (GU). In order to measure that, three dimensions of entrepreneurship which are attitude toward behavior, subjective norms, and perceived behavior control were used.
Data were gathered through questionnaire survey of 120 Libyan male masters student studying under College of Business in UUM (n=28) and GU (n=92). Correlation, independent group t-test, and regression analysis were used to examine the relationship, the differences between the variables and the extent of contribution of the variables to entrepreneurship intention. The result indicated that the level attitude towards behavior, subjective norms, and perceived behavior control and intention toward entrepreneurship for UUM’s students is higher than
GU's students.UUM being the university that stress an exposure to entrepreneurship environment (formal and informal education) shows higher intention toward
entrepreneurship compared to those in GU who are not exposed to entrepreneurship environment
Analisis dokumen silibus kimia organik matrikulasi berdasarkan taksonomi bloom
This article reports on a qualitative study based on document analysis to characterize the teaching and learning of Matriculation Organic Chemistry, Ministry of Education based on the revised Bloom’s Taxonomy. Document analysis was conducted on three elements: a description of the syllabus, questions of tutorials exercise and final examination questions. From the analysis of documents based on Bloom’s Taxonomy, it was found that the three elements are concentrated at low cognitive level. This study also identified a significant gap between the three objectives of the course: enable students to master the basic concepts of chemistry; develop science and problem-solving skills; allow students to use their knowledge and skills in new situations and daily life, with what is shown by the documents analyzed. This article also proposes an explanation that this gap is due to the traditional view of education that fails to see chemistry education as a holistic framework, and suggests steps to improve the teaching and learning of the topics studied
A simulative study on the performance evaluation for simultaneous and successive mobility for mobile IPv6
Mobile Internet Protocol (MIP) is the forms of the backbone for next generation wireless internet technology to provide uninterrupted network service while a node on the move. The original MIP use Home Agent to forward the traffic. Thus, it does not have problem with simultaneous mobility, i.e., the special case when both end nodes are mobile and move at about the same time. However, MIPv6 uses location binding updates which sent directly to a correspondent node to complete its registration. Thus, MIPv6 is vulnerable to the simultaneous mobility problem which leads to the interruption of communication and cause messages lost, especially protocol messages. Approach: This articleanalyzed the simultaneous and successive fast mobility problems and handover latency. Then propose a mechanism by adopting technique to the mobile node's Home Agent. Results: We simulated the proposed scheme using ns-2 and we present and analyze the performance testing for the proposed scheme by comparing it with the conventional MIPv6. Conclusion: Simulation results showed this scheme can effectively resolve simultaneous and successive mobility problems and reduce the handover latency which is affected by long registration time
Necessary functionality for electronic text active reading
Reading frequently involves not just looking at words on a page, but also underlining, highlighting and commenting, either on the text or in a separate notebook. Readers use these marks to organize their reading for later review and retrieval. This combination of reading with critical thinking and learning is called active reading. Active reading is a fundamental part of education and knowledge work and often requires readers to move from one text to another to satisfy their information needs.Lots of resources now are available in electronic or digital form and people can access and read plenty of information from Internet.Numerous software based readers with certain functionalities are made available to satisfy electronic reading requirement. However, these functionalities are diverse among readers. In addition, the functionalities provided are not ranked based on user needs. This study will define necessary functionalities for electronic text active reading. The research framework is divided into two major phases which are (i) identifying necessary functionalities based on available commercial software based readers, and (ii) identifying necessary functionalities based on reading walkthroughs, and user surveys and observations. The finding of this study may possibly contribute to design and development of electronic reading applications, by providing necessary functionalities for electronic reading
Deep learning for COVID-19 diagnosis based on chest X-ray images
Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is a recent global pandemic that has affected many countries around the world, causing serious health problems, especially in the lungs. Although temperature testing is suggested as a firstline test for COVID-19, it was not reliable because many diseases have the same symptoms. Thus, we propose a deep learning method based on X-ray images that used a convolutional neural network (CNN) and transfer learning (TL) for COVID-19 diagnosis, and using gradient-weighted class activation mapping (Grad-CAM) technique for producing visual explanations for the COVID-19 infection area in the lung. The low sample size of coronavirus samples was considered a challenge, thus, this issue was overridden using data augmentation techniques. The study found that the proposed (CNN) and the modified pre-trained networks VGG16 and InceptionV3 achieved a promising result for COVID-19 diagnosis by using chest X-ray images. The proposed CNN was able to differentiate 284 patients with COVID-19 or normal with 98.2 percent for training accuracy and 96.66 percent for test accuracy and 100.0 percent sensitivity. The modified VGG16 achieved the best classification result between all with 100.0 percent for training accuracy and 98.33 percent for test accuracy and 100.0 percent sensitivity, but the proposed CNN overcame the others in the side of reducing the computational complexity and training time significantly
