    Rent-A-Car

    Our goal is to build a data management system for a car rental company. This enables the admin to rent a vehicle to a customer. This system increases customer retention while simplifying vehicle and personnel management. The interface of this software car Rental System is very user-friendly. As a result, users will find it extremely simple to work on. Administrators can use this system to manage customer confirm and cancel booking requests, customer testimonials, and customer issues. The vehicle data can be entered into the system. Administrators can also modify or delete existing vehicle data. There is no delay in the availability of any car information; it can be captured quickly and easily whenever required. In this application, we had three primary responsibilities: admin, renter, and owner. Renters can locate their vehicles and communicate with the owners, owners can upload vehicle information, and administrators can manage accounts and vehicles in this application. We chose the PHP CodeIgniter framework to build our car rental website, which includes HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap, and JavaScript for the user interface and MySQL for the database

    Intercellular Interactomics of Human Brain Endothelial Cells and Th17 Lymphocytes: A Novel Strategy for Identifying Therapeutic Targets of CNS Inflammation

    Leukocyte infiltration across an activated brain endothelium contributes to the neuroinflammation seen in many neurological disorders. Recent evidence shows that IL-17-producing T-lymphocytes (e.g., Th17 cells) possess brain-homing capability and contribute to the pathogenesis of multiple sclerosis and cerebral ischemia. The leukocyte transmigration across the endothelium is a highly regulated, multistep process involving intercellular communications and interactions between the leukocytes and endothelial cells. The molecules involved in the process are attractive therapeutic targets for inhibiting leukocyte brain migration. We hypothesized and have been successful in demonstrating that molecules of potential therapeutic significance involved in Th17-brain endothelial cell (BEC) communications and interactions can be discovered through the combination of advanced membrane/submembrane proteomic and interactomic methods. We describe elements of this strategy and preliminary results obtained in method and approach development. The Th17-BEC interaction network provides new insights into the complexity of the transmigration process mediated by well-organized, subcellularly localized molecular interactions. These molecules and interactions are potential diagnostic, therapeutic, or theranostic targets for treatment of neurological conditions accompanied or caused by leukocyte infiltration

    Principles and Interpretations of Local Dispute Resolution body in Sharīʿah perspective

    This is the common practice in society to seek local system of justice other than Conventional court’s system. People like to resolve their disputes through most reputes or juries of the society due to various reasons. They believe that conventional system requires more money and time than the previous method. It is experienced and people are aware of the current situation of these courts that some cases approach to fifty years and not yet resolved. Therefore, the wise people engross in local justice system, easy to access, simple to resolve and effortless to execute the decision. Comprehensively, the process of seeking justice and to resolve the disputes through well-known, repute referees beside the conventional court system is called ‘Taḥkīm’ in Shariah terminology and refers as Jirga in Pakhtūn Society. The present paper emphasis on highlighting the detailed comparison of Taḥkīm and Jirga coupled with bringing up the differences and similarities with respect to their modes and principles along with recommendations to bring the local system in full conformity of Shariah Standards

    Cerebrospinal Fluid Leak after Repair of Congenital Spinal Pathologies, Incidence and Management

    Objective:  To know the incidence of CSF leak and role of tincture benzoyl in the management of CSF leak after the repair of congenital spinal deformities like myelomeningocele, meningocele and tethered cord syndrome.Materials and Methods:  All patients who were operated for congenital spinal surgeries in the form of MMC, Meningocele and TCS by a single surgeon were followed for a minimum of 3 months. Patients with already CSF leak/ruptured MMC prior to surgery were not part of the study. The particulars like gender and type of surgery, days since first surgery, associated infection, hydrocephalus and type of management were noted on a proforma.Results:  A total of 73 patients with spinal dysraphism were operated during the study period and of them about 13 patients returned with problems of the CSF leak. The mean duration and duration since the CSF leak was from 6 days to 16 days. Among them, 10 patients had an MMC repair and one patient had TCS release, while 2 patients were having meningocele repair. The patients were stitched and one patient was re-operated two times for repair of CSF leak. Two patients had a CSF leak along with post op signs of HCP that settled by placing a shunt along with primary repair of the wound reinforced with tincture benzoyl in a single setting. Conclusion:  CSF leak is a common complication following repair of spinal dysraphism and most patients can be managed with the application of tincture benzoyl alone or after simple skin reinforcement

    EVALUATION OF ROBOTIC CLEANING TECHNOLOGIES: PRESERVING A BRITISH ICONIC BUILDING

    The engineering building of the University Leicester built-in 1963 has been a British icon for decades now. Applications of Robotic technologies are uprising nowadays, which provides a contingency to manipulate the benefits of robotics for executing challenging and precarious facade cleaning processes. This paper surveys the facade cleaning robotic technologies exist in the market. It exhibits the comparative analysis of four notorious robotic facade cleaning solutions namely Sky Pro, Gekko, BFMR (Building Façade Maintenance Robot) and Sirius_c. The comparison is executed using Multi Criteria Decision Analysis (MCDA) and Quality Function Deployment (QFD) techniques. This study analyses the performance of the robots based on the critical parameters such as water consumption, cleaning efficiency, cleaning dimensions and ease of implementation. Although none of these robotic solutions are implemented off the shelf, some adaptation on these solutions is necessary for the development of robotic techniques work successfully in real time. This paper proposes a hybrid robotic solution combining the vacuum pump adhesion and wheeled locomotion for the effective cleaning of the complex external building structure based on the MCDA and QFD analysis. It highlights the significant future research directions in this field

    Non-Pharmacological Therapy for Atrial Fibrillation: Managing the Left Atrial Appendage

    The prevalence of atrial fibrillation (AF) is increasing in parallel with an ageing population leading to increased morbidity and mortality. The most feared complication of AF is stroke, with the arrhythmia being responsible for up to 20% of all ischemic strokes. An important contributor to this increased risk of stroke is the left atrial appendage (LAA). A combination of the LAA's unique geometry and atrial fibrillation leads to low blood flow velocity and stasis, which are precursors to thrombus formation. It has been hypothesized for over half a century that excision of the LAA would lead to a reduction in the incidence of stroke. It has only been in the last 20–25 years that the knowledge and technology has been available to safely carry out such a procedure. We now have a number of viable techniques, both surgical and percutaneous, which will be covered in this paper
