Thermostability and free radical scavenging activity of Annona muricata(L.) leaf extract in antiaging cream
Annona muricata is an Indonesian medicinal plant commonly used as an anticancer agent. The finding of its strong antioxidant activity leads to the development of cosmetic products, particularly as antiaging cream. Formulation may influence thermostability and free radical scavenging activity of A.muricata leaf extract. The purpose of this study was to investigate the thermostability and free radical scavenging activity of A.muricata leaf extract incorporated in Gattefosse Skin Cashmere cream. Accelerated stability study utilizing climatic chamber at a temperature of 40ºC ± 2ºC and relative humidity of 75% ± 5% for 20 days of storage was used to evaluate thermostability. 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazil (DPPH) using spectrophotometer was used for free radical scavenging activity test. The result from physical properties including appearance of antiaging cream, pH, viscosity and rheological properties of each formula showed that all of the formulas were stable at a temperature of 40ºC ± 2ºC and relative humidity of 75% ± 5% for 20 days. Free radical scavenging activity using DPPH showed high antioxidant activities from the A.muricata leaf extract in the Gattefosse Skin Cashmere cream. We concluded that A. muricata leaf extract could be developed into natural antiaging cosmetic product

Uji Akseptabilitas Krim Pelembap
Comparative efficacy of bakuchiol oil and encapsulated bakuchiol cream on facial skin quality: A 28-day pilot study
Context: Along with the rapid growth of the beauty product industry, the community highly favors the use of plants as beauty ingredients and facial
treatments. Bakuchiol, a lipid-soluble compound derived from Psoralea corylifolia is a gentle alternative to retinol in anti-aging skincare. To enhance its
penetration into the skin, bakuchiol is formulated in liposomes through encapsulation technology.
Aims: To compare the efficacy of 0.5% bakuchiol oil and encapsulated 0.5% bakuchiol cream formula on facial skin quality.
Methods: The subjects consisted of 17 respondents, aged 25-45 years, with various skin types. Two creams, 0.5% bakuchiol oil cream and encapsulated 0.5%
bakuchiol cream, were applied twice daily in the split face for 28 days. The study utilized the A-One Tab Skin Analyzer device to measure facial skin quality by
scanning facial moisture, pores, sebum, and wrinkles levels on days 0, 14, and 28. Data obtained in the form of numerical values were analyzed using a
comparative method employing both parametric and non-parametric methods with the aid of the SPSS software.
Results: The study results indicated that both creams enhanced skin moisture, reduced pore size, and improved wrinkle scores. However, the encapsulated
bakuchiol cream performed better in minimizing pore size, sebum levels, and wrinkle scores.
Conclusions: The study findings imply that the use of encapsulated 0.5% bakuchiol cream formulation had a more pronounced effect on improving facial skin
quality compared to the 0.5% bakuchiol oil cream formulation, signifying the superior efficacy of the former
The Importance of Fermented Active for Anti Aging incosmetics Product
Skin aging is a complex biological process that is influenced by a combination of endogenous or intrinsic factors (genetics, cellular metabolism, hormones, and metabolic processes) and exogenous or extrinsic (chronic light exposure, pollution, ionizing radiation, chemicals, and poisons. ermentation can increase the physiological and biochemical activity of the substrate by
facilitating molecules, so that fermented products may be more compatible with unfermented
products.Successful fermentation often depends on strain selection. Selectionof the right microorganisms for the fermentation process can not only metabolize herbs or herbal extracts but can also increased their physiological activity and decreased their cytotoxicity
