On pointed Hopf algebras associated to unmixed conjugacy classes in S_n
Let s in S_n be a product of disjoint cycles of the same length, C the
conjugacy class of s and rho an irreducible representation of the isotropy
group of s. We prove that either the Nichols algebra B(C, rho) is
infinite-dimensional, or the braiding of the Yetter-Drinfeld module is
negative
Penjadwalan Untuk Meminimasi Received Date Dengan Metode Load Oriented Manufacturing Control(Studi Kasus di CV Wijaya Lesmana Sejahtera)
Production activities are important in the manufacturing industry. The thing to be achieved in production activities is customer satisfaction in using products produced by a company. Accuracy in the fulfillment of the time of receipt of orders promised by the company and the quality of products as expected, and the cost charged is considered reasonable elements of satisfaction that must be met by the company to its customers CV Wijaya Lesmana Sejahtera is a manufacturing company engaged in the manufacture of products Furniture such as, cabinets, tables, chairs, backdrop TV, and others. Based on data from the company in the year of 2016, the company only able to do 7 projects (63,64%) from 11 projects handled, while 4 project (36,36% have delay of completion. This research aims to determine the time of receipt of order with Load Oriented method Manufacturing Control (LOMC) where the calculation is based on the available capacity at each work station, processing time at each work station and production flow on the production floor From the Spk data, the order completion time for the food cabinet (1) is 18 days, 1) is 14 days, the wardrobe (2) is 17 days, the dresser (2) is 25 days, and the wardrobe (3) is 27 days.At the LOMC method, the time to finish the order for the food cabinet (1) is 15 (1) is 14 days, the food cabinet (2) is 12 days, the closet (2) is 5 days and the food cupboard (3) is 2 days. This shows the calculation with the method LOMC is more accurate than the actual method
Value-at-Risk and Tsallis statistics: risk analysis of the aerospace sector
In this study, we analyze the aerospace stocks prices in order to
characterize the sector behavior. The data analyzed cover the period from
January 1987 to April 1999. We present a new index for the aerospace sector and
we investigate the statistical characteristics of this index. Our results show
that this index is well described by Tsallis distribution. We explore this
result and modify the standard Value-at-Risk (VaR), financial risk assessment
methodology in order to reflect an asset which obeys Tsallis non-extensive
statistics.Comment: 10 pages, 4 figures, 1 table, to appear in Physica
Probing Quantized Einstein-Rosen Waves with Massless Scalar Matter
The purpose of this paper is to discuss in detail the use of scalar matter
coupled to linearly polarized Einstein-Rosen waves as a probe to study quantum
gravity in the restricted setting provided by this symmetry reduction of
general relativity. We will obtain the relevant Hamiltonian and quantize it
with the techniques already used for the purely gravitational case. Finally we
will discuss the use of particle-like modes of the quantized fields to
operationally explore some of the features of quantum gravity within this
framework. Specifically we will study two-point functions, the Newton-Wigner
propagator, and radial wave functions for one-particle states.Comment: Accepted for publication in Physical Review
Dynamics and Steady States in excitable mobile agent systems
We study the spreading of excitations in 2D systems of mobile agents where
the excitation is transmitted when a quiescent agent keeps contact with an
excited one during a non-vanishing time. We show that the steady states
strongly depend on the spatial agent dynamics. Moreover, the coupling between
exposition time () and agent-agent contact rate (CR) becomes crucial to
understand the excitation dynamics, which exhibits three regimes with CR: no
excitation for low CR, an excited regime in which the number of quiescent
agents (S) is inversely proportional to CR, and for high CR, a novel third
regime, model dependent, here S scales with an exponent , with
being the scaling exponent of with CR
WKB Propagation of Gaussian Wavepackets
We analyze the semiclassical evolution of Gaussian wavepackets in chaotic
systems. We prove that after some short time a Gaussian wavepacket becomes a
primitive WKB state. From then on, the state can be propagated using the
standard TDWKB scheme. Complex trajectories are not necessary to account for
the long-time propagation. The Wigner function of the evolving state develops
the structure of a classical filament plus quantum oscillations, with phase and
amplitude being determined by geometric properties of a classical manifold.Comment: 4 pages, 4 figures; significant improvement
Ge-substitutional defects and the r3xr3 <--> 3x3 transition in alpha--SnGe(111)
The structure and energetics of Ge substitutional defects on the
alpha-Sn/Ge(111) surface are analyzed using Density Functional Theory (DFT)
molecular dynamics (MD) simulations. An isolated Ge defect induces a very local
distortion of the 3x3 reconstruction, confined to a significant downwards
displacement (-0.31 A) at the defect site and a modest upward displacement
(0.05 A) of the three Sn nearest neighbours with partially occupied dangling
bonds. Dynamical fluctuations between the two degenerate ground states yield
the six-fold symmetry observed around a defect in the experiments at room
temperature. Defect-defect interactions are controlled by the energetics of the
deformation of the 3x3 structure: They are negligible for defects on the
honeycomb lattice and quite large for a third defect on the hexagonal lattice,
explaining the low temperature defect ordering.Comment: 4 pages, Revtex, 7 Encapsulated Postscript figures, uses epsf.sty.

Cheaper, cleaner, more reliable: why invest in cross-border power-trading
Despite improvements to energy supply over the years, many Indian states still face frequent power shortages. Meanwhile, neighboring Nepal and Bhutan have large reserves of untapped hydro power with the potential to meet unserved demand for energy in major load centres. Investing in interconnections could also contribute to significant reductions in CO2 emissions. Today’s blog quantifies potential gains from an integrated South Asian power
