Memórias de professoras: os significados da escolha profissional

O objetivo deste estudo é o entendimento dos subterrâneos da formação docente como uma construção político cultural da escrita (auto)biográfica. Assim, a proposta do texto é mostrar os processos pelos quais me constitui como docente negra e pesquisadora. A metodologia utilizada, para obter maiores informações dos participantes da pesquisa, foram os relatos orais e autobiográficos. Os sujeitos que participaram da pesquisa, ao narrarem suas lembranças auferidas de experiências ocorridas ao longo de suas vidas, utilizam-se da memória. Medium-term evolution of an intermediate beach with an intertidal bar

The subaerial beach and low tide terrace morphology of the Amoreira beach (Southwest Portuguese Coast) was assessed using a DGPS system between December 2006 and October 2008. The offshore wave conditions were described by the SWAN model, and the nearshore wave using the COULWAVE model. DEMs show significant variations on beach width and berm elevation, and intertidal bar migration. The seasonal variation of the beach width (from the 2 m contour line above the MSL to the dune baseline) is significant (88 to 66 m) indicating a subaerial beach retreat of 13 m. The berm height elevation ranges between 3.3 and 2.5 m. The obtained results also show that beach sedimentary budget results from a close relationship between the volumes of sediment retained on the subaerial beach (mainly the width variations) and the morphology of the intertidal bar. The effect of intertidal bar morphology variations on the wave height for the field surveys of 6th April and 18th October 2008 was analysed. The obtained data set indicates that: 1) the intertidal bar migrated in the landward direction welding to the beachface lower limit by infilling a runnel of -0.61 m (minimum elevation); 2) the frontal berm increased the width and elevation in 8 m and 0.7 m, respectively; 3) the intertidal bar morphology with a trough on its landward side allows the dissipation of about 0.029 kJm-2/m of the wave energy along the surf zone; and 4) the wave spectrum shows a frequency band between 0.03 and 0.35 Hz

Fact checking: jornalismo de checagem da política midiatizada

Aborda a propagação de uma atividade que ganha status de novidade a partir da aceleração dos processos de publicação de notícias em plataformas digitais: o exercício do fact-checking, isto é, “checagem de fatos”. O fact-checking é um trabalho realizado, geralmente, por jornalistas, que pretendem comprovar ou refutar, a partir da exposição de dados e análises, a veracidade de discursos de autoridades políticas ou personalidades com relevância na área, como empresários, jornalistas, líderes de movimentos sociais. Além de apresentar a origem do fact-checking e apontar alguns dos exemplos de espaços mais significativos dedicados a essa atividade – como os norte-americanos PolitiFact e FactCheck.org e o argentino Chequeado.com –, este trabalho pretende explorar as possibilidades deste modelo, abordando diferentes métodos e possibilidades de interação com o público, bem como a relevância dessa ferramenta e seus efeitos na política e nos (e)leitores. Para tanto, faz um estudo de caso do fact-checking brasileiro Preto no Branco, pertencente ao jornal O Globo e criado pela jornalista Cristina Tardáguila durante as eleições no país em 2014, e procura entender o motivo da redução da produção do blog após o fim da campanha eleitoral deste mesmo ano

Serviço social e saúde mental: a prática profissional do assistente social na saúde mental em contexto hospitalar

A presente dissertação surge no âmbito do Mestrado em Serviço Social no Instituto Universitário de Lisboa e consiste num estudo sobre o "Serviço social e saúde mental: a prática profissional do assistente social na saúde mental em contexto hospitalar", tendo como objetivo, analisar e compreender o processo de intervenção dos assistentes sociais nas pessoas com problemas de saúde mental e suas famílias e perceber as diferenças e similitudes entre Portugal e Cabo Verde no âmbito da Saúde Mental em contexto hospitalar. Entende-se a pertinência do tema, uma vez que, verifica-se que os problemas relacionados com a saúde mental tem um impacto significativo nas sociedades, levantando a hipótese de se reflectir sobre as políticas de saúde mental, as intervenções que são realizadas, partindo do princípio que, a intervenção junto de uma pessoa com doença mental é um desafio não só para o doente e sua família, mas também, para os profissionais que actuam na área, sendo neste caso os assistentes sociais em contexto hospitalar. Para a presente investigação foi utilizada uma metodologia qualitativa, atendendo os objectivos traçados, onde, foram realizadas pesquisas bibliográficas sobre o tema, trazendo os principais autores de referência como Iamamoto (2009), Fazenda (2008) e Bisneto (2007). Na sequência foram recolhidos os dados através de entrevistas a assistentes sociais que desempenham funções na área da Saúde Mental em contexto hospitalar, em Portugal e Cabo Verde. Os resultados obtidos permitiram conhecer o processo de intervenção dos assistentes sociais na saúde mental em contexto hospitalar e perceber que os mesmos possuem especificidades próprias nas suas intervenções, como a promoção, a defesa e a garantia dos direitos sociais dos doentes mentais, bem como, dos seus familiares. Verificamos que apesar dos avanços e dos esforços em termos de políticas públicas de saúde mental, ainda existem necessidades a nível de respostas que vão ao encontro as necessidades dos doentes mentais, trazendo limitações nas intervenções por parte dos profissionais.The present dissertation appears in the scope of the Master's Degree in Social Work at ISCTE-University Institute of Lisbon and consists on a study of "Social work and mental health: the professional practice of social workers in mental health in hospital context", with the objective of analyzing and understand the intervention process of Social Workers with people with mental health problems and their families and understand the differences and similarities between Portugal and Cape Verde in the frame work of Mental Health in hospital context. The pertinence of the theme is understood, since it appears that the problems related to mental health have a significant impact on societies, raising the possibility of reflecting on mental health policies and the interventions that are carried out, starting from the principle that, the intervention with a person with mental illness is a challenge not only for the patient and his family, but also for the professionals who work in the area, being in this case Social Workers in hospital context. For the present research, a qualitative methodology was used, meeting the outlined objectives, where bibliographical research on the theme was carried out, bringing the main reference authors such as Iamamoto (2009), Fazenda (2008) and Bisneto (2007). Subsequently, data were collected through interviews with social workers who work in the field of Mental Health in hospital context, in Portugal and Cape Verde. The results obtained allowed to know the intervention process of social workers in mental health in a hospital context and realize that they have their own specificities in their interventions, such as the promotion, defense and guarantee of the social rights of the mentally ill, as well as family members. We found that despite the advances and efforts in terms of public mental health policies, there are still needs in terms of responses that meet the needs of the mentally ill, causing limitations in the interventions made by these professionals

Diels-alder cycloaddition in the synthesis of 1-azafagomine, analogs, and derivatives as glycosidase inhibitors

This comprehensive review deals with the synthesis of 1-azafagomine, analogs, and derivatives having the Diels-Alder cycloaddition as the key step. Most of the compounds referred are racemic or have been resolved by lipase transesterification. There are two asymmetric cycloadditions leading to 1-azafagomine or to an analog. In one case both enantiomers of 1-azafagomine were prepared together with a pair of derivatives. The study comprises glycosidase inhibition studies of the target compounds to a set of glycosidic enzymes, and evidenced molecular features that enhance or diminish their activity as glycosidase inhibitors

Historia de la evolucion de la calidad hospitalar: de los padrones a acreditacion

This work contemplates the literature revision of Quality Standardization and the evaluation process by means of Hospital Accreditation literature. A historic resume have been worked out, about the beginnings of quality evaluation within the health services, from the Hospital Standardization Program, elaborated by the American Surgeons College, in the middle of 1924, to the creation of ONA - National Accreditation Organization, who has as main goals the installation and implementation of a health assistance permanent improvement process, thus stimulating the services to reach higher quality standards. After a reflection exercise, it was considered that, in the evaluation of services, it's necessary to seek a higher value of the assistentials results, as well as the elaboration of more equanimous patterns in the structure, processes and results of the assistential quality.Trata-se de una revisión de la literatura sobre padronización de Calidad y el procedimiento de evaluación por la Acreditación Hospitalar. Fue realizado un breve histórico sobre el inicio de la evaluación de calidad en los servicios de salud, con el Programa de Padronización Hospitalar creado por el Colegio Americano de Cirujanos, a medios de 1924, hasta la creación de la Organización Nacional de Acreditación - ONA, que tiene como objetivos la implementación de un proceso permanente de mejoría de la asistencia a la salud, haciendo que los servicios lleguen a los mejores niveles de cualidad. Después de un auto-análisis, se hizo necesaria que en las evaluaciones de servicios, se buscara la valorización de los resultados asistenciales bien como la elaboración de padrones cuali - cuantitativamente más uniformes en aspectos de estructura, procesos e resultados de calidad asistencial.Trata-se da revisão da literatura sobre a padronização da Qualidade e o processo de avaliação pela Acreditação Hospitalar. Foi realizado um apanhado histórico sobre o início da avaliação da qualidade nos serviços de saúde, com o Programa de Padronização Hospitalar elaborado pelo Colégio Americano de Cirurgiões, em meados de 1924, até a criação da Organização Nacional de Acreditação - ONA, que tem como objetivos a implantação e implementação de um processo permanente de melhoria da assistência à saúde estimulando os serviços a atingirem padrões mais elevados de qualidade.
