Chaotic Planar Piecewise Smooth Vector Fields With Non Trivial Minimal Sets

In this paper some aspects on chaotic behavior and minimality in planar piecewise smooth vector fields theory are treated. The occurrence of non-deterministic chaos is observed and the concept of orientable minimality is introduced. It is also investigated some relations between minimality and orientable minimality and observed the existence of new kinds of non-trivial minimal sets in chaotic systems. Contesting Austerity

Despite the historical and political similarities between Portugal and Spain, the contentious responses to austerity diverged in terms of number, rhythm and players. This book compares the contentious responses to austerity in Portugal and Spain during the Eurozone crisis and the Great Recession between 2008 and 2015. While in Spain a sustained wave of mobilisation lasted for three years, involving various players and leading to a transformation of the party system, in Portugal social movements were only able to mobilise in specific instances, trade unions dominated protest and, by the end of the cycle, institutional change was limited. Contesting Austerity shows that the different trajectories and outcomes in these two countries are connected to the nature and configurations of the players in the mobilisation process. While in Spain actors’ relative autonomy from one another led to deeper political transformation, in Portugal the dominance of the institutional actors limited the extent of that change

Mestrado em Ensino da Educação Física nos Ensinos Básico e SecundárioEste relatório pretende espelhar, através de um olhar crítico e reflexivo, o processo de estágio. A caraterização deste processo é feita ao nível da evolução do professor estagiário, entrando na escola e ultrapassando as dificuldades e barreiras encontradas - choque inicial. Baseia-se na procura de um perfil de ação coerente, que visa enquadrar a intervenção pedagógica e as necessidades dos alunos e da restante comunidade escolar, nas aulas de Educação Física e nos diferentes contextos em que participou. Pelo seu trabalho, os professores são atores escolares que têm de lidar com inúmeros e variados conflitos inerentes ao processo de ensino, direcionando o conhecimento e experiência pessoal para a sua ação. Em todas as dimensões, o sucesso educativo dos alunos, deve ser o foco da ação dos professores e das instituições escolares, pelo que, o desenvolvimento profissional dos docentes, e a reflexão sobre o propósito destes organismos, coincidem, neste relatório, como um objetivo convergente. Neste sentido, a formação de professores desenvolve uma ação conjunta sobre as competências a desenvolver pelo docente estagiário, perspetivando o seu desenvolvimento integral, ao nível pessoal e profissional, suportado numa supervisão pedagógica de qualidade - visando a reflexividade e autonomia do futuro profissional

On entropy and responsibility in the thought of Ivan Illich

This paper explores the concept of entropy in Ivan Illich's overall thinking while delivering a dialogue with other authors. Our goals are twofold. First, we aim to point out how Illich's early work is relevant for critically thinking about entropy in its relationship to forms of social organisation and technology usage. Secondly, we point to how Illich's later works consider a planetary responsibility. By gathering matter, energy and information, technology is an ambiguous force of both hominisation and alienation, world-building and world destruction. For an early Illich, liberation from such new heteronomy was possible. The late Illich, however, adverts against the dangers of collective responsibility. The attempt to "save life" is a necrophiliac manipulation, dependent on a planetary extension of Promethean power.
