LOW COST REMOVAL OF DIRECT DYE FROM AQUEOUS SOLUTION USING WASTE ASHES
The paper deals with the adsorption of direct dye from aqueous solution onto waste ashes prepared from the heating station of Leskovac (Serbia). Waste ashes are used for the reduction of coloration, for example, of textile wastewater. Based on the results, it can be said that the waste ashes are an efficient adsorbent for the removal of direct dye from aqueous solution. Prolonged contact time means a greater amount of color on the adsorbent, i.e. the dye concentration in the solution decreases with the adsorption duration. The typical graphical representation obtained from the Freundlich equation shows that this model provides a sufficiently accurate description of the experimental data of dye adsorption on waste ashes as opposed to the Langmuir model

Dissemination Booklet
The past three years gave us once again a great example of the strength of Tempus in gradually but surely improving
the quality of higher education in the partner countries. Improving the cooperation between the academic world and
the work field is an important key factor in the further implementation of the Bologna declaration in the partner
countries. There is a great synergy between the universities from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia and the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia. The cooperation agreement between the partner universities guarantees the sustainability of the project results. Therefore, a detailed strategic plan has been developed.
Moreover, the cooperation on the further development of sustainable technologies remains an important topic in
the European policy. This is an ideal subject for further cooperation: not only between the EU partners and the partner countries but also between the academic partners and the industry partners. Sustainable technologies do not only offer great chances in further promoting the idea of lifelong learning, but also open great possibilities for stimulating innovation and entrepreneurship
Investigation into the potential chemical mechanism of the pro-oxidant activity of carotenoids with liposomes under UV-irradiation
Fourier Transforms - High-tech Application and Current Trends
The main purpose of this book is to provide a modern review about recent advances in Fourier transforms as the most powerful analytical tool for high-tech application in electrical, electronic, and computer engineering, as well as Fourier transform spectral techniques with a wide range of biological, biomedical, biotechnological, pharmaceutical, and nanotechnological applications. The confluence of Fourier transform methods with high tech opens new opportunities for detection and handling of atoms and molecules using nanodevices, with potential for a large variety of scientific and technological applications
