Biblioteca digital : contenidos y aprendizaje

This work treats the importance of the contents of the digital library and proposes some guidelines as a starting point toward user satisfaction in digital information services. At the same time, this article, with didactic goals in minds, offers some parameters for the development of didactic contents and learning materials. It follows that digital libraries belong in the learning environment, with emphasis on learning and content, so that users learn something new. No pretence is made to deal with this issue in an exhaustive manner or to define concepts, but to establish a relationship between the two

Los archivos y su preservación como un derecho fundamental de acceso a la información

Estudio del marco legal del derecho a la información a través del trabajo de preservación archivística como elemento necesario para conservar los fondos documentales y proteger otro derecho como el de la memoria, cuya presencia es fundamental para apoyar prácticas democráticas. La autora muestra cómo este derecho es ejemplo de la interconectividad entre los derechos humanos, porque sin el acceso a la información no puede mantenerse la libertad de pensamiento, de creencia, de opinión, de libre expresión, de educación, entre otros derechos; de ahí la necesidad imperiosa de que este derecho se encuentre asegurado para el ejercicio de todos los tipos de derechos humanos. Un acercamiento a los servicios de información y colecciones de las bibliotecas digitales en México

This paper aims to approach to the world of services and collections in the Mexican digital libraries. By means of literature and field research, a panorama of the path followed by information society with the appearance and development of electronics in the information services is given. The websites of digital services are studied by means of data gathering in questionnaires and surveys addressed to webmasters. This paper is divided into three parts. Firstly, concept precision on digital library is carried out. Secondly, virtual work differences are shown, both for users and librarians, and the interactions between them and the resources. Thirdly, the current state of some digital services in Mexico is shown, mainly in which has to do with the reference service and the effect of them in librarianship
