Eigenvalue filtering in VAR models with application to the Czech business cycle

We propose the method of eigenvalue filtering as a new tool to extract time series subcomponents (such as business-cycle or irregular) defined by properties of the underlying eigenvalues. We logically extend the Beveridge-Nelson decomposition of the VAR time-series models focusing on the transient component. We introduce the canonical state-space representation of the VAR models to facilitate this type of analysis. We illustrate the eigenvalue filtering by examining a stylized model of inflation determination estimated on the Czech data.We characterize the estimated components of CPI, WPI and import inflations, together with the real production wage and real output, survey their basic properties, and impose an identification scheme to calculate the structural innovations. We test the results in a simple bootstrap simulation experiment. We find two major areas for further research: first, verifying and improving the robustness of the method, and second, exploring the method’s potential for empirical validation of structural economic models. Comparison of Experimental Methods Used for Finding of Temperature Rise in Electrotechnics

Má bakalářská práce je zaměřená na různé metody měření oteplení na elektrických strojích a přístrojích. Toto oteplení vzniká vlivem působení ztrát. Tyto ztráty jsou v první kapitole teoreticky rozebrány. Ve druhé kapitole jsou vysvětlené různé metody bezkontaktního a kontaktního měření teploty a uvedené výhody a nevýhody těchto metod. V praktické části je provedeno měření teploty na jističi nízkého napětí pomoci termokamery a termočlánku. Dosažené výsledky jsou zpracovány do grafů a následně graficky porovnány. V závěru mé bakalářské práce jsou tyto výsledky rozebrány a uvedeny výhody a nevýhody těchto metod měření teploty.My bachelor thesis is focused on different kinds of methods how to measure a heating of electrical machines and devices. The heating is created by an influence of losses. The losses are theoretically described in the first chapter. Description of different kinds of methods of contact and contactless thermal measuring is located in the second chapter, where are also mentioned advantages and disadvantages of these methods. The practical part consists of the measuring of a temperature on a circuit breaker by thermocamera and thermocouple. These measured values are shown in graphs and are graphically compared. Exchange Rate Management and Inflation Targeting: Modeling the Exchange Rate in Reduced-Form New Keynesian Models

This paper introduces a strategy for modeling the exchange rate when the monetary authority targets inflation while also managing the exchange rate using interventions. It does so in the framework of a standard reduced-form New Keynesian model of monetary transmission used in many institutions for research, forecasting, and monetary policy analysis. We propose a microfounded modification to the UIP condition which allows for modeling of informal exchange rate bands. Homogenization of the transport equation describing convection-diffusion processes in a material with fine periodic structure

summary:In the present contribution we discuss mathematical homogenization and numerical solution of the elliptic problem describing convection-diffusion processes in a material with fine periodic structure. Transport processes such as heat conduction or transport of contaminants through porous media are typically associated with convection-diffusion equations. It is well known that the application of the classical Galerkin finite element method is inappropriate in this case since the discrete solution is usually globally affected by spurious oscillations. Therefore, great care should be taken in developing stable numerical formulations. We describe a variational principle for the convection-diffusion problem with rapidly oscillating coefficients and formulate the corresponding homogenization results. Further, based on the variational principle, we derive a stable numerical scheme for the corresponding homogenized problem. A numerical example will be solved to illustrate the overall performance of the proposed method

Crisis management during Covid-19 pandemic - with a focus on multidisciplinary team cooperation

Thesis title: Crisis management during the covid-19 pandemic with a focus on multidisciplinary cooperation. The main goal this thesis will be to describe, through a case study, the most serious problems in the implementation of a change in crisis management during the covid-19 pandemic, with a focus on a multidisciplinary team at a large, faculty organization providing health care. Following this (descriptive) part of the goal, my next ambition is to formulate factors that would facilitate the implementation of similar crisis measures in relation to employees in a multidisciplinary team in the next period (wave). The members of the multidisciplinary team of the faculty, medical facility of the Czech Republic were selected as the examined sample for my empirical part of the work. The problem to be solved, which I focused on, is the reaction of individuals in a multidisciplinary team to change, or methods and potential pitfalls of coping with a crisis situation, a suddenly arising epidemiological problem. In this work, I will continue to draw on my own experience, the experience of an employee in the researched organization. V návaznosti na tuto (deskriptivní) část cíle je mou další ambicí formulovat faktory, které by v dalším období (vlně) usnadnily realizaci podobných krizových, opatření ve vztahu k zaměstnanci v multidisciplinárním týmu. Management Costs and Budgets Control in the Company

Bakalářská práce je zaměřena na manažerské řízení nákladů a rozpočtů ve společnosti. V teoretické části je provedena rešerše odborné literatury a internetových zdrojů. Jsou zde popsány účetní systémy, úkoly manažerského účetnictví, náklady společnosti a rozpočetnictví. Dále je v práci popsána tvorba manažerského rozhodování a strategické plánování. Analytická část práce je zaměřena na popis vybraného podniku, jeho organizační struktury, výrobní program, konkurenceschopnost, technologické procesy a vzdělávání zaměstnanců ve firmě. Z rozvahy a výkazů zisků a ztrát je zpracována horizontální a vertikální analýza za roky 2012 až 2014. V závěru práce jsou popsány návrhy na zlepšení stávající úrovně manažerského účetnictví a optimalizace nákladů ve společnosti.This bachelor thesis is focused on the managerial cost management in the company. The theoretical part provides literature and internet sources. In this part is described accounting systems, the tasks of management accounting, budgeting and costs of the company. Here is also described the production of managerial decision making and strategic planning. Analytical part is focused on the description of the selected company, its organizational structure, production program, competitiveness, technological processes and education of employees in the company. From the balance sheet and profit and loss account is processed horizontal and vertical analysis of the years 2012 to 2014. In the conclusion is described proposals for improvement of managerial accounting and cost optimization in the company.

Electrical protection SIPROTEC 7SJ85

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá multifunkční nadproudovou ochranou SIPROTEC 7SJ85 a jejím testováním. V rámci teoretické části práce je nejdříve rozebrána teorie ochran a jištění. Jsou zde uvedeny základní požadavky na elektrické ochrany, jejich rozdělení a základní členy ochran. Následuje druhá kapitola, která popisuje a rozebírá funkci jednotlivých ochranných modulu ochrany SIPROTEC 7SJ85, které se běžně používají pro chránění vedení 22kV. Praktická část práce, která začíná třetí kapitolou, obsahuje parametrizaci ochranných modulů ochrany pro typizované pole rozvodny. V další kapitole je popsáno zkušební zařízení Omicron CMC156 a je vytvořen návrh sekundárních zkoušek. V poslední kapitole jsou provedeny praktické sekundární zkoušky ochrany s rozborem působení této ochrany.This master thesis is focusing on a multifunctional overcurrent protection SIPROTEC 7SJ85 and also focuses on testing of this device. In the beginning we can find out the theory of electrical protection, where are described basic requirements, classifications and divisioning of electrical protective devices. Next chapter is aiming to a description of functionality of each protective modules that are located in SIPROTEC 7SJ85 and that are usually used for a 22kV wiring protection. Practical part contains parameterization of protective modules of electrical protection for typizied field in substations control house. After that Omicron CMC156 test system is described and a suggestion of secondary tests is done. The portable device for aroma detecting in food industry

Tato práce se zabývá konstrukcí jednoduchého levného přenosného zařízení, které umožňuje měření a rozpoznávání vůní v potravinářství pomocí polovodičových senzorů plynů s možností sdílet naměřená data se vzdáleným serverem. Zařízení je řízeného vývojovou platformou Arduino, obohacenou o dva moduly. Práce stručně seznamuje čtenáře s problematikou monitorování vůní v potravinářství a vývojovou deskou Arduino osazeného mikrokontrolérem řady ATMega společně s modulem pro síťovou komunikaci. Součástí práce je i příklad měření a jeho následné vyhodnocení při použití navrženého zapojení.This work deals with the construction of a simple cheap portable device that allows the measurement and recognition of aromas in food industry using semiconductor gas sensors with the ability to share measurement data to a remote server. The device is controlled by Arduino development platform, enriched by two modules. Work shortly apprises readers with aroma monitoring in food industry and development board Arduino which contains ATMega series microcontroller and with module for network communication. This work also includes a measurement sample and review using the proposed circuit.

Diplomová práce je zaměřena na návrh marketingové strategie ve vybrané společnosti. V teoretické části je provedena rešerše odborné literatury. Jsou zde popsány jednotlivé marketingové systémy, které jsou následně použity v empirické části. Analytická část práce je zaměřena na popis společnosti FITCOACH s.r.o, jejího postavení na trhu a přehled konkurentů v tomto odvětví. Hlavním cílem práce je návrh marketingové strategie pro společnost FITCOACT, s.r.o. V závěru práce jsou popsány návrhy na zlepšení stávající situace, přilákání nových zákazníků a s tím spojených vyšších tržeb.This diploma thesis is focused on the design of a marketing strategy within a selected company. In the theoretical part, an examination of currently available professional literature has been made. This literature, which describes individual marketing systems, is used as subsequent source material for the empirical component of this thesis. The analytical section focuses on a description of FITCOACH s.r.o, its position in its market and an overview of competitors in this sector. The main goal of the thesis is the proposal of a marketing strategy for FITCOACT, s.r.o. In conclusion, this thesis describes suggestions for improving the company's current situation by attracting new customers and therefore raising potential sales revenue.
