International audienceA large number of modeling activities can be automatic or computer assisted. This automation ensures a more rapid and robust software development. However, engineers must ensure that the models have the properties required for the application. In order to tend towards this requirement, the DOMINO project (DOMaINs and methodological prOcess) proposes to use the socalled trustworthy Model-Driven Engineering (MDE) components and aims to provide a methodology for the validation and qualification of such components

International audienceIn this paper, we present a CNES participation through a case study in a research project called DOMINO financed by the French National Research Agency (ANtI) RNTL. This project has started in march 2007 and will end in march 2009, it regroups academics (ENSIETA, IRISA and IR1T), industries and agencies (AIRBUS, CEA, CNES and SODIFRANCE). This project has two main goals: to develop reliable Model Driven Engineering (MDE) components and to build bridges with Domain Specific Languages (DSL). CNES participates in this project through a case study on the reliable design of operational procedures and associated applications. There are two main objectives for this case study: the first is to improve "offline" interoperabiity with the possibility to build import/export tools for any scripting procedure language using meta-modeling technology. The second is to improve efficiency for the production, validation and execution of scripting procedures using operational specifications. It is anticipated that this will result in a reduction of costs and reliability improvement
