Lidah buaya (Aloe vera) adalah tanaman yang potensi antibakteri, antidiabetes, dan terapi tumor dengan kandungan kimia berupa tanin, asam amino, antrakuinon, enzim, hormon, mineral, asam salisilat, sterol, dan vitamin. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh ekstrak lidah buaya (Aloe vera) dalam menghambat pertumbuhan E. faecalis. Ekstrak lidah buaya (Aloe vera) konsentrasi 6,25%, 12,5%, 25%, 50%, 75%, dan 100% dibuat secara maserasi menggunakan etanol 96%. Uji pengaruh ekstrak lidah buaya (Aloe vera) dikonfirmasi dengan metode difusi cakram pada media MHA (Mueller Hinton Agar) menurut klasifikasi CLSI (Clinical Laboratory Standard Institute).     Weed survey in different cultural practice in Seberang Perai and Muda Rice Fields in Northern Malaysia

    A correlation between weedy species composition and 4 different planting practices in Peninsular Malaysia was being investigated from September 2011 โ€“ January 2012. Through this study, the noxious and competitive weed of rice were identified and counted, which should be helpful in developing a more sustainable weed control and management. This study was conducted at 24 different rice field covering four types of planting practices in Seberang Perai and MUDA area, namely wet seeding, water seeding, manual transplanting and mechanical transplanting method, using 0.5 x 0.5 m size quadrat with 20 samples for each field during rice at tillering to heading stage. A total of 27 weed species belonging to 14 families composing of 10 broadleaved, 8 grasses, 7 sedges and 2 submerged weed group were recorded. The dominance weeds species in four planting practices at both areas is Oryza sativa complex (weedy rice). Different dominance weed group observed in both areas due to different planting practices, such as in water seeding practice, broadleaved such Limnochoria flava and Monocharia vaginalis showed the highest I.V. for both areas, for wet seeding practice Echinochloa crus-galli and Leptochloa chinensis under grasses group have the highest I.V. and for manual and mechanical transplanting practice both have the same weed group which is Leptochloa chinensis.

    A Snapshot of Woody Plants Composition in Byram Permanent Mangrove Forest Reserve

    The term mangrove may refer to an ecosystem or individual plants where the distribution of woody plants usually influenced by climate, water salinity, tides, type of soil in the mangrove swamps and environmental activities including development, housing and industrial. Thus only a certain species that can survive under this extreme condition. A study had been conducted in Byram Permanent Mangrove Forest Reserve to provide baseline information on the distribution pattern of plant growth in mangrove area. The main objective of this study is to determine the composition and the distribution pattern of true-mangrove woody plant species. To assess the species composition, the forest reserve nearest to the sea, which run approximately 2.0 km, parallel to the sea, was divided into three main sections (i.e. 600 m each section with a minimum 50 m wide border between the sections). Species enumeration was conducted in 11 plots, where each plot size is 10m x 10m. In general these plots were established in random stratified manner, from the sea towards the terrestrial part of the mangrove forest. In total, we recorded 290 of individual woody plants. The most abundant species in term of occurrences within all zones and forest section is Bruguiera parvifolia

    Effects of biotic and abiotic environmental stimuli on the morphology and biomass allocation of Mimosa pigra L.

    The main focus of this study was to examine the morphology of Mimosa pigra, an invasive weed in response to artificial biotic and abiotic stressors. Seedlings of M. pigra were subjected to stressors such as seed sowing density, leaf defoliation and water regime. Comparatively, morphological performance related to different sowing practices differed significantly (p0.05) in morphological performance under different levels of water regime. However, seedlings that received low water (LW) treatment showed better growth performance than seedlings that received high water (HW) treatment, which had the lowest morphological traits and biomass allocation

    ABSTRAK Badan Musyawarah (BAMUS) Nagari adalah lembaga yang melaksakan fungsi pemerintahan Nagari yang anggotanya merupakan wakil Masyarakat nagari berdasarkan keterwakilan jorong dan ditetapkan secara demokratis dan juga sebagai mitra kerja dari wali nagari dalam menjalankan pemerintah Nagari. Fungsi dari Bamus yaitu membuat Peraturan Nagari bersama Wali Nagari, lembaga penampung dan penyalur aspirasi masyarakat Nagari, serta lembaga yang melakukan pengawasan terhadap kinerja Wali Nagari. Fenomena yang terjadi bahwa Badan Musyawarah Nagari Guguak Tabek Sarojo kurang optimal dalam menjalankan Fungsi Pengawasannya. Pelaksanaan fungsi Pengawasan Badan Musyawarah Nagari berdasarkan Peraturan Daerah Kabupaten Agam No 5 Tahun 2019 tentang Badan Musyawarah Nagari di Nagari Guguak Tabek Sarojo belum berjalan secara optimal. Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui bagaimana pelaksanaan fungsi Pengawasan Badan Musyawarah (BAMUS) Nagari di Nagari Guguak Tabek Sarojo Kecamatan IV Koto Kabupaten Agam serta bagaimana hambatan Badan Musyawarah Nagari dalam melaksanakan fungsinya. Secara teoritis manfaat dari penelitian ini diharapkan mampu memberikan mamfaat bagi perkembangan ilmu hukum dan memberi gambaran tentang Fungsi Pengawasan Badan Musyawarah (BAMUS) Nagari di Nagari Guguak Tabek Sarojo Kecamatan IV Koto Kabupaten Agam . Penelitian terhadap pelaksanaan efektifitas hukum ini menggunakan metode pendekatan sosiologi hukum, melihat sesuatu kenyataan hukum di dalam masyarakat atau sinkronisasi antara hukum dengan masyarakat. Teknik pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah purposive sampling. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini yaitu data primer dan data sekunder. Analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis kualitatif dan penarikan kesimpulan secara induktif. Pelaksanaan Fungsi Pengawasan Badan Musyawarah Nagari berdasarkan Peraturan Daerah Kabupaten Agam Nomor 5 Tahun 2019 tentang Badan Musyawarah Nagari di Nagari Guguak Tabek Sarojo yang tidak terlaksana diantaranya; (i) Badan Musyawarah Nagari tidak ikut menyepakati Peraturan Nagari bersama walinagari; (ii) Badan Musyawarah Nagari tidak menampung dan menyalurkan aspirasi masyarakat Nagari; (iii) Badan Musyawarah Nagari tidak mengawasi kinerja walinagari. Faktor penghambatnya adalah (i) pola komunikasi yang kurang berjalan; (ii) kurangnya pemahaman anggota Badan Musyawarah Nagari dalam menjalankan fungsinya; (iii) masyarakat kurang memahami fungsi Badan Musyawarah Nagari

    Effect of Artificial Defoliation on the Emergence of Foliar Buds of Mimosa Pigra

    This study was specified in documenting Mimosa reaction in the state of defoliation on the plants. As defoliation was believed to cause plants experiencing both positive and/or negative effects on its growth performance, thus among the aim of this study is to monitor the emergence of foliar buds in respond with vary level of defoliation intensities. The seedlings were grown singly in polybags up to four leaf stage as. Grown seedlings were randomly subjected under four different defoliation intensities: control (un-defoliated), 25%, 50%, and 100% in which 10 replicates of seedling for each treatment. Experiment was ceased at the 6th month after establishment of plants grew. Results shown that, the effect of defoliation on the production of foliar buds was significantly difference between the treatments (P< 0.05). As compared with 25%, 50% and 100% defoliation, un-defoliated plants showed the highest amount of foliar buds production which is 14 buds. While, there were no differences amount of foliar buds production between 25% and 50% defoliation with 5 foliar buds per plants. Emergence of foliar buds was reportedly lowest in 100% defoliation plant when there were no sign of buds emergence. Results concluded that, the subjected plants of control, 25% and 50% leaves defoliation treatments, were able to performed tolerance effect relative to the induced stressor. Apart from that, experiment revealed that the 100% defoliation has probability of detrimental effect on growth and reproduction of Mimosa seedling as it hindrance the germination of foliar buds

    Material gedung menjadi salah satu penyebab sinyal dari eNodeB terhalangi sehingga terjadi pelemahan daya sinyal. Transmart Buah Batu salah satu mall di kota Bandung memiliki masalah mengenai kualitas jaringan serta belum adanya jaringan Indoor. Berdasarkan hasil analisis, didapatkan nilai rata-rata RSSI sebesar -78,34 dBm dan nilai rata-rata SINR sebesar 4,47 dB. Dilakukan penerapan metode TDD (Time Division Duplexing) pada IBC (Indoor Building Coverage) menunjang transmisi data secara optimal dengan sistem DAS (Distributed Antenna System) studi kasus operator Smartfren pita frekuensi 2,3 GHz. Skenario untuk perencanaan ini yaitu melakukan WalkTest menggunakan software TEMS, perhitungan Capacity dan Coverage menggunakan propagasi Cost 231 Multi-wall models, dan melakukan simulasi menggunakan software RPS (Radiowave Propagation Simulator). Hasil perencanaan ini memperoleh nilai parameter RSSI di lantai dasar, 1, 2, dan 3 masing-masing sebesar -49,73 dBm, -46,73 dBm, -47,85 dBm, dan -44,46 dBm serta ditinjau berdasarkan parameter SINR dari lantai dasar, 1, 2, dan 3 masing-masing sebesar 23,64 dB, 29,52 dB, 24,63 dB, dan 16,8 dB.     Study on micro-patterning process of vertically aligned carbon nanotubes (VACNTs)

    Vertically aligned carbon nanotubes (VACNTs) have drawn significant attention by the researchers because of their nanometric size and favorable material properties. Patterning of CNT forests in the micrometric domain is very important for their application in the area of microelectromechanical system (MEMS). For the first time this paper reports, detailed experimental investigation on a post growth m-patterning process of VACNT forests. The micromechanical bending (M2B) process was locally applied at the targeted area in order to change the alignment of VACNT forests. Interestingly, the VACNT forest was transformed from typical black body absorber to reflective mirror as the M2B process was applied. Several parameters were identified that govern the resultant patterns such as rotational spindle speed, lateral bending speed, step size, tool morphology, and total depth of bend. Optimization of the parameters was carried out experimentally to obtain the best surface roughness and integrity of the microstructure. A minimum average surface roughness of Ra D 15 nm was achieved with 2000 rpm spindle speed, 1 mm/min bending speed and 1 mm step size

    Assistance in the Use of the Quizizz and Mentimeter Platforms to Improve the Competence of Mathematics Teachers in the City of Flores

    The background to the implementation of the Community Service Program was the difficulties teachers and prospective math teachers in East Flores City had in designing and managing interactive learning online. So, the main purpose of this service is to increase the competence of teachers and prospective teachers according to the needs of the target community. The dedication stage consists of (1) the Preparation Stage; (2) the Implementation Stage, and; (3) the Practice, Monitoring, and Evaluation Stage. All stages of the service are carried out in the period 1-30 August 2021. The implementation stage of the service is carried out through the webinar method and the implementation of interactive learning designs using the Quizizz and Mentimeter platforms. The target community is 20 people. The Service Team consists of 3 students and one supervisor. One mathematics education expert from Ahmad Dahlan University (UAD) was involved in the implementation stage. Based on the Practice, Monitoring, and Evaluation Stages, it is known that all participants have implemented the webinar material, and more than 85% of participants stated that this service program was very useful and increased competency in designing and managing interactive learning online. Thus it can be concluded that the implementation of community service has achieved the stated goals
