    The influence of study habits and self-concept on students' mathematical reasoning ability

    This research aimed to determine the effect of study habits and self-concept on students' mathematical reasoning abilities in class VIII. This research is quantitative with the ex-post facto method. Sampling in this research using random sampling totaling 39 samples. The research instruments were two questionnaires totaling 30 items and an essay test totaling 3 items. The research results showed that there was an effect of study habits on students' mathematical reasoning abilities. There was no effect between self-concept on students' mathematical reasoning abilities. And there was an effect between self-concept and study habits on students' mathematical reasoning abilities. The conclusions of this research are learning habits does affect but self-concept doesn’t affect students' mathematical reasoning abilities, and self-concept and study habits affect the mathematical reasoning abilities of students in class VIII with a significant contribution of 25.9%

    META-ANALISIS PENGARUH MODEL PEMBELAJARAN PROBLEM BASED LEARNING TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN PEMECAHAN MASALAH MATEMATIS SISWA

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis besar pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran problem based learning terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa. Metode yang digunakan adalah meta-analisis yaitu review naratif atau review sistematik dengan menganalisis hasil-hasil penelitian yang telah dipublikasikan secara nasional yang berkaitan dengan pengaruh model pembelajaran berbasis masalah terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa. Sampel pada penelitian ini adalah 5 artikel jurnal nasional yang diterbitkan pada rentang tahun 2017-2021 pada jenjang SMP dan SMA, yang membahas penulisan eksperimen tentang pengaruh model pembelajaran problem based learning terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa. Instrumen penulisan berupa lembar pengkodean yang merangkum data dan informasi jurnal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara keseluruhan 5 artikel jurnal memiliki rata-rata nilai effect size sebesar 1,247 yang berarti dalam kategori efek besar. Temuan analisis juga menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran problem based learning memberikan pengaruh yang besar terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis dilihat dari segi jenjang pendidikan dan materi pelajaran. Hal ini menunjukkan kesimpulan bahwa model pembelajaran problem based learning lebih memberikan pengaruh yang besar terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa dibandingkan pembelajaran konvensional

    This study aims to determine whether applying the Problem Based Learning model can improve the mathematical problem solving ability of students of class VIII-A SMP Negeri 1 Stabat on SPLDV. This research is a class action research conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consists of 2 meetings. The subjects in this study were students of class VIII-A SMP Negeri 1 Stabat totalling 30 students. The object of this research is the improvement of students' mathematical problem solving ability through the application of the Problem Based Learning learning model on SPLDV material at SMP Negeri 1 Stabat in the 2023/2024 school year. Based on the results of data analysis, the average initial test score was 47.11 with the number of students who reached mastery as many as 4 students (13.33%) and students who had not reached mastery as many as 26 students (86.67%). Then learning was carried out with the Problem Based Learning learning model in cycle I and there was an increase in the problem solving ability test with an average value of 63.44 with 19 students or as many as (63.33%). Then students who have not reached completeness are 11 students or as many as (36.67%). Then in cycle II there was an increase with the average value of the student problem solving ability test being 84.11, with a total completeness of 26 students or as many as (86.67%) and the number of students who had not reached completeness was 4 students or as many as (13.33%). The level of student completeness of the problem solving ability test given in cycle II reached the good category, therefore it can be said that learning has been achieved. Thus it can be said that the class has reached more than 85% of students who have been completed to solve problems. So it can be concluded that using the Problem Based Learning model can improve students' mathematical problem solving skills

    ANALISIS KESULITAN KOMUNIKASI MATEMATIS SISWA SMP SWASTA PRAYATNA MEDAN PADA MATERI PERBANDINGAN DENGAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN PROBLEM BASED LEARNING

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk untuk mengetahui kesulitan komunikasi matematis yang dialami siswa kelas VII-1 SMP Swasta Prayatna Medan dalam menyelesaikan soal komunikasi matematis yang dikaji dari indikator komunikasi matematis setelah diberikan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL). Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek pada penelitian ini adalah kelas VII-1 SMP Swasta Prayatna Medan yang berjumlah 30 orang siswa, kemudian dipilih perwakilan pada kategori tingkat komunikasi matematis sedang 1 orang dan pada kategori tingkat komunikasi matematis rendah 1 orang untuk diwawancarai. Teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan adalah dengan Tes komunikasi matematis siswa, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Adapun hasil dari penelitian adalah sebagai berikut: 1. tingkat komunikasi matematis siswa setelah diajar menggunakan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning pada kategori tinggi sebanyak 8 orang dengan persentase 26,67%, pada kategori sedang sebanyak 12 orang dengan persentase 40%, dan pada kategori rendah sebanyak 10 orang dengan persentase 33,33%. 2. Hasil analisis komunikasi matematis siswa kelas VII-1 SMP Swasta Prayatna Medan yang dikaji dari indikator komunikasi matematis setelah diberikan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) Setelah dilakukan perhitungan rata-rata, indikator komunikasi matematis yang paling tinggi adalah Written Text dengan rata-rata 83,33%, kemudian diikuti dengan rata indikator komunikasi matematis tertinggi kedua adalah Mathematical Ekspression dengan rata-rata 63,33%, kemudian diikuti dengan rata-rata indikator komunikasi matematis terendah adalah Drawing dengan rata-rata 43,33%. 3. Kesulitan yang dialami siswa kelas VII-1 SMP Swasta Prayatna Medan dengan siswa berkategori sedang yaitu kesulitan konsep, sedangkan kesulitan yang dialami siswa berkategori rendah yaitu kesulitan fakta,kesulitan konsep, kesulitan keterampilan, kesulitan prinsip

    ARIMA Model Selection for Composite Stock Price Index in Indonesia Stock Exchange

    Composite Stock Price Index (CSPI) can be used as a reflection of the national economic condition of a country because it is an indicator to know the development the capital market in a country. Therefore, the movement in the future needs to be forecast. This study aims to build a model for the time series forecasting of Indonesia Composite Index (ICI) using the ARIMA model. The data used is the monthly data of ICI in Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) from January 2000 until December 2017 as many as 216 data. The method used in this research is the Box-Jenkins method. The autocorrelation (ACF) and partial autocorrelation function (PACF) are used for stationary test and model identification. The maximum estimated likelihood is used to estimate the parameter model. In addition, to select a model then used Akaike’s Information Criterion (AIC). Ljung-Box Q statistics are used for diagnostic tests. In addition, to show the accuracy of the model, we use Root Mean Squared Error (RMSE), Mean Absolute Error (MAE) and Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE) and the most appropriate model is ARIMA (0, 1, 1)

    Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana model regresi berganda serta seberapa besar kontribusi dari self efficacy (X1) dan motivasi belajar (X2) terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa (Y) dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Student Teams Achievement Division. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa dikelas VII-5 di SMP Negeri 35 Medan. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini adalah berupa tes yang terdiri dari 3 soal dan 2 angket yaitu angket self efficacy (X1) dan motivasi belajar (X2) yang masing-masing terdiri dari 20 soal pernyataan. Dari analisis data menggunakan regresi linier berganda didapatkan model regresi linier berganda dari self efficacy dan motivasi belajar terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa yaitu Y ̂= 0,964+0,510X1+0,545X2. Dan dari analisis data korelasi berganda diperoleh besar kontribusi dari self efficacy (X1) dan motivasi belajar (X2) terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa (Y) sebesar 97,4% dan dapat disimpulkan bahwa self efficacy (X1) dan motivasi belajar (X2) berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar matematika (Y)

    This study aims to: Know the effect of VAK learning styles on students 'mathematical problem solving abilities, Know the contribution of each learning style to students' mathematical problem solving abilities, Know the effect of VAK learning styles on e-learning, and Know the contribution of each learning style to e-learning. This type of research is a quasi experiment. The population in this study were all grade VII students of SMP Negeri 1 Binjai and the sample in this study were 3 classes of 96 students. The results showed that there was influenceVAK learning style on students' mathematical problem solving abilitiesof Fcount = 2.746 greater than Table = 2.70; and there are contributions significant from each of them VAK learning style on students' mathematical problem solving abilitiesin SMP Negeri 1 Binjai that is overallby 8.2%, visual learning styles by 8.1%, auditory learning styles by 0.9%, and kinesthetic learning styles by 2.1%. Next there is influenceVAK learning style towards e-learning learningof Fcount = 2.783 greater than Table = 2.70; and there are contributionssignificant from each of them VAK learning style towards e-learning learningin SMP Negeri 1 Binjai that is overallby 8.3%, visual learning styles by 6.4%, auditory learning styles by 1.2%, and kinesthetic learning styles by 5.2%. Thus it can be concluded that there is an influence of VAK learning style on students' mathematical problem solving abilities based on e-learning in SMP Negeri 1 Binjai.     Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: 1). Perbedaan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis antara siswa yang diberi model pembelajaran Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) dengan siswa yang diberi model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL). 2). Perbedaan self-efficacy antara siswa yang diberi model pembelajaran Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) dengan siswa yang diberi model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL). Jenis penelitian ini adalah eksperimen semu dengan populasi penelitian seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Gajah Mada Medan yang berjumlah 73 orang yang terdiri dari 3 kelas. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII-1 sebagai kelas eksperimen model CTL, dan kelas VIII-2 sebagai kelas eksperimen model PBL. Penelitian ini menggunakan uji-t. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa: 1) Terdapat perbedaan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis antara siswa yang diberi model pembelajaran Contextual Teaching and Learning dengan siswa yang diberi model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning dengan  yaitu . 2) Terdapat perbedaan self-efficacy antara siswa yang diberi model pembelajaran Contextual Teaching and Learning dengan siswa yang diberi model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning dengan  yaitu

This study aims to: 1) describe how the level of validity, practicality and effectiveness of guided discovery-based learning tools using Hypercontent to improve critical mathematical thinking skills at SMAN 1 Tambangan; 2) describe the improvement of students' mathematical critical thinking skills using guided discovery-based learning tools using Hypercontent at SMAN 1 Tambangan The method used in this research is development research. The subjects in this study were the 11th grade students SMAN 1 Tambangan in the academic year 2021/2022. The results showed that 1) Guided discovery-based learning tools using hypercontent to improve students' mathematical critical thinking skills that were developed already met the criteria of being valid, practical and effective; 2) The improvement of mathematical critical thinking skills using guided discovery-based learning tools using hypercontent that has been developed seen from the N-gain value in the first trial of 0.33 increased to 0.4 in the second trial, meaning that it is in the "medium" category
