Del espacio público planeado a los espacios públicos vivos y vividos: reflexión sobre la planificación de los espacios públicos en Bogotá

El espacio público juega un papel fundamental en la ciudad. La forma en que se ha pensado este lugar, cómo se ha planificado y cómo es utilizado por los habitantes influye directamente en la forma que toma la ciudad. Este artículo, se presenta como un avance a la investigación desarrollada en el marco de la Maestría en Planeación Urbana y Regional de la Pontificia Universidad Javeriana. En ella se plantea que las grandes transformaciones que han sufrido el espacio público en los últimos años, como la segregación, privatización y choque en formas de apropiación han dado cuenta de la necesidad de replantear la forma en que se piensan y se planean los espacios públicos. Tomando como caso de estudio la ciudad de Bogotá, se argumenta que es necesario entender con mayor profundidad las prácticas urbanas, que se desarrollan en ellos y complejizar la forma en que se estudian, permitiendo una mirada plural y multifuncionalidad a ese gran espacio articulador en la ciudad.Public space has an important role within the city. The way it has thought, planned and used by the inhabitants has a direct influence in the city from. This article presents the progress that has this as an academic research as a student from the master program on Urban and Regional Planning at the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana. In this article, starts by recognizing that cities have suffered significant transformations, that has led to problems such as segregation, privatization and fights in forms of uses. For such reason, it is acknowledged the necessity of rethink how public space in planned in cities. Taking Bogota as a case study, it is argued that there is a need to understand urban social practices in a deepest way, where planning should take a plural and multifunctional look when is talked about public spaces in cities

A bibliographical description of the memoirs of Martinus Scriblerus: A case study

Curso académico 2020-2021Este trabajo de grado pretende hacer una descripción bibliográfica de la obra del Scriblerus Club, The Memoirs of Martinus Scriblerus (1741). Partiendo de la evidencia que suponen las diferentes versiones y ediciones del texto (principalmente los textos de 1741 y 1742), el único fragmento que se conserva del manuscrito, el Capítulo IX, y el misterioso panfleto publicado en 1723, se reflexionará acerca de la posible naturaleza del texto y su génesis.This essay is a bibliographical description of the Scriblerus Club’s The Memoirs of Martinus Scriblerus (1741). Evidence, including the different versions and editions of the text (mainly the 1741 and the 742 texts), the only surviving fragment of the manuscript, Chapter IX, and the mysterious pamphlet published in 1723, will be analysed in order to contemplate the possible nature and genesis of the text

Asbestos: caught between technological development and the threat of civil liability. The Italian experience and an approach to Colombian law

In Colombia, Law 1968 of 2019 banned the use of asbestos in the national territory. This legal breakthrough was years in the making. However, the allocation of liability against those who exposed others to asbestos, and the assessment of damages for plaintiffs who suffered asbestos related injuries is not addressed in the law. This research paper in comparative civil law attempts to answer the liability question based on the Italian experience and small jurisprudential steps taken by the Colombian bench. In doing so, the causal link in traditional civil liability and the criteria for imputation or attribution of strict liability applicable to asbestos victims are examined. The results of the research find it advisable to adapt the traditional elements of the assumption of responsibility to the demands for compensation in the face of asbestos related damages in the contemporary cases, taking into account presumptions that can be entered into evidence.En Colombia, la Ley 1968 de 2019 prohibió el uso de asbesto en el territorio nacional. Esta ley no abordó la imputación de responsabilidad contra quienes  expusieron a otros al asbesto ni la evaluación de daños para las víctimas. Este artículo se ubica en el área de derecho civil e intenta responder a la pregunta de responsabilidad civil por asbesto basada en la experiencia Italiana y mirar los pequeños pasos jurisprudenciales tomados por los tribunales colombianos para poder determinar si se ha dispuesto la responsabilidad civil por asbesto. Al hacerlo, se identifican algunas teorías que conciernen al vínculo causal en la responsabilidad civil tradicional y al criterio de imputación o atribución de la responsabilidad objetiva aplicable a las víctimas de asbesto. Los resultados de la investigación aconsejan adaptar los elementos tradicionales de la responsabilidad a las demandas por daños relacionados con el asbesto en los casos contemporáneos teniendo en cuenta el recurso a las presunciones desde la perspectiva probatoria

Approximately one-quarter of the global population are women of reproductive age, most of whom menstruate every month.A core function of a woman's reproductive system, menstruation is a healthy and normal occurrence in the female body. However, it can—and often does—become a challenge when individuals lack access to the resources, infrastructure, and social support they need to appropriately manage it.This report captures key changes in the menstrual health and hygiene (MHH) space that have happened since the publication of An Opportunity to Address Menstrual Health and Gender Equity in 2016. We pay particular attention to the remaining gaps and highlight opportunities for further action and investment

Obstáculo geométrico del concepto de límite: una experiencia con fractales

El concepto de límite es difícil de enseñar y aprender, dado que trae consigo diversos obstáculos que deben ser superados en su totalidad para aprender dicho concepto; por lo tanto crear actividades que permitan su comprensión contribuirá significativamente a facilitar este proceso (enseñanza- aprendizaje). De esta manera se proponen cuatro actividades que parten de la construcción del fractal “árbol pitagórico”; dicho fractal aporta al tratamiento del obstáculo geométrico del concepto de límite.
