    Promoting Positive Behaviors Among the Lower Primary School Students

    The present study aimed to explore the role of family and school in promoting positive behaviors among the lower primary school students enrolled in the American Community School. It aimed to identify the methods of promoting positive behaviors among those students from the perspective of school principals, teachers, parents, and the lower primary school students.  It was found that the (responsive classroom) approach is adopted by the American Community School for promoting positive behaviors among the lower primary school students. Adopting this approach enables teachers to create a positive environment in the whole school in general and classrooms in particular. It has a positive impact on students’ academic achievement and self-discipline. It participates in delivering education of high quality. Based on the latter approach, it’s very important to develop students’ social-emotional skills. Such skills include: (taking responsibility, respecting others’ opinions and self-confidence). Based on the latter approach, it’s very important to develop students’ cognitive-academic skills and promote knowledge about the teaching methods. Based on the latter approach, cognitive development occurs through social interaction. This approach can be adopted for promoting positive behaviors among the lower primary school students.The researchers recommend adopting the (responsive classroom) approach for promoting positive behaviors among the lower primary school students. They recommend providing more attention to the provision of training courses for teachers and parents about the methods of promoting positive behaviors among the lower primary school students.  They recommend conducting similar studies that target other school stages, such as: the secondary stage.     The Reality of the role of Jordanian Universities In Promoting Moderate Ideologies among Students Based on Amman Message

    The present study aimed to explore the reality of the role of Jordanian universities in promoting moderate ideologies among students based on Amman Message from the students’ perspective. It aimed to explore whether there is any significant difference between the respondents’ attitudes which can be attributed to gender, faculty, university, academic year, program and GPA. The sample consists from 400 students. Those students were selected from the University of Jordan, Yarmouk University, and Mu’tah University. A questionnaire was developed. It consists from 40 items. It sheds a light on 4 areas. These areas are: (faculty members, students, student union, and university activities). It was found that Jordanian universities play a moderate role in promoting moderate ideologies among students based on Amman Message from the. That’s because the overall mean is 3.41 which is moderate. The mean of the (faculty member) area is 3.48. It’s moderate and ranked first. The mean of the (student) area is 3.45. It’s moderate and ranked second. The mean of the (student union) is 3.39. It’s moderate and ranked third. The mean of the (university activity) area is 3.32. It’s moderate and ranked last. It was found that there is a significant difference between the respondents’ attitude which can be attributed to faculty. The latter difference is for the favour of the ones enrolled in human sciences faculties. It was found that there is a significant difference between the respondents’ attitude which can be attributed to university. The latter difference is for the favour of the ones enrolled in the University of Jordan. It was found that there is a significant difference between the respondents’ attitude which can be attributed to academic year. The latter difference is for the favour of the freshmen. It was found that there is a significant difference between the respondents’ attitude which can be attributed to GPA. The latter difference is for the favour of the ones whose rating is (very good). It was found that there isn’t any significant difference between the respondents’ attitude which can be attributed to gender or program. The researchers recommend promoting moderate ideologies among students. They recommend promoting awareness among students about awareness among students about the significance of moderate ideologies. They recommend fighting against extremist ideologies. They recommend carrying out activities to promote moderate ideologies among students. They recommend moderate ideologies among students through the student union.     هدف الدراسة إلى تعرف جوانب من مبادئ التربية الأسرية المستمدة من السنة النبوية وأثرها على المجتمع باعتبار كل ما صدر عن الرسول عليه الصلاة والسلام دستوراً شاملاً يمكن الرجوع إليه للاسترشاد به بالتربية وأساليبها، اعتمد المنهج التحليلي في استنباط أسس حماية الأسرة المسلمة من التهم من حادثة الإفك، ومبادئ تعامل الزوج مع زوجته من تعامل الرسول الكريم مع نسائه، ومبادئ تربية الأطفال من تعامل الرسول الكريم مع الأطفال، وأثر المبادئ التي توصلت لها الدراسة على المجتمع. وتوصلت الدراسة إلى: أن استثمار الأحداث السلبية يحدث تغييرات جوهرية في سلوك الأفراد، كما استثمر القرآن الكريم حادثة الإفك لتهذيب النفوس وتربيتها على العفة والطهارة. وكشفت الدراسة عن تسعة أساليب تربوية تهذب النفوس وتحمي الأسرة من التهم. وبينت الدراسة أن الرسول عليه الصلاة والسلام كان مثال الزوج الصالح، الرحيم والعطوف على زوجاته، وأنه مثل نموذجاً لكل زوج راغب بتشكيل أسرة ملؤها العطف، والحنان، والسكينة، والطمأنينة. وأن منهج الرسول عليه الصلاة والسلام في تربية الأطفال يرتكز على الرفق واللين، والاحترام والتقدير، لبناء الثقة والشخصية السوية، وأن هذه المبادئ التربوية ذات أثر إيجابي على المجتمع.The present study aims to identify the aspects of the principles of family education in pursuant to Sunnah and their impact on society. It aims to identify such aspects with presuming that every act and saying of Prophet Mohammad (May peace be upon him) as a comprehensive constitution. This constitution can be used as a guide on education and its methods. That can be done through relying on the analytical approach to elicit the fundamentals of protecting the Muslim family from accusations based on Al-Ifk incident. It can do through relying on the analytical approach to elicit the principles governing child education based on the way in which Prophet Mohammad (May peace be upon him) dealt with children.  The researcher concluded that investing negative events shall lead to having major changes to individuals’ behaviors. For instance, the Holy Quran invested in Al-Ifk incident in order to discipline people and promote chastity and purity among people. It was found that there are nine (9) educational methods that can be used for disciplining people and protecting family from accusations. It was found that Prophet Mohammad (May peace be upon him) served as a model as a good husband who is merciful and compassionate when dealing with his wives. It was found that the approach of Prophet Mohammad (May peace be upon him) in educating children is based on kindness, gentleness, respect and appreciation in the aim of promoting self-confidence and developing a balanced personality

    The Capability to Predict the Behaviors of the Students Enrolled in Jordanian Universities Through Their Aesthetic Values

    The present study aimed to explore the extent of adopting aesthetic values and doing good behaviors by the students enrolled in Jordanian universities from the perspective of faculty members. It aimed to explore the capability to predict the behaviors of the students enrolled in Jordanian universities through their aesthetic values. A descriptive analytical approach was adopted. In addition, a correlative approach was adopted too. A questionnaire was used for collecting data from 364 female and male faculty members. Those faculty members were selected from (private and public) Jordanian universities. The questionnaire sheds a light on four areas; (the social, behavioral, psychological and affective) areas. It was found that the extent of adopting aesthetic values by the students enrolled in Jordanian universities is moderate from the perspective of faculty members. It was found that the extent of doing good behaviors by the students enrolled in Jordanian universities is moderate from the perspective of faculty members. That means that additional efforts must be exerted by decision makers and educators in order to promote good behaviors and aesthetic values among students in Jordanian universities. It was found that there is a strong correlative relationship between the aesthetic values and the behaviors of the students enrolled in Jordanian universities. That is because the correlative coefficient value is 0.84 and the value of the total sum of squares is 0.68. That means that 68% of the changes in the students’ behaviors are attributed to the aesthetic values. That means that the behaviors of the students enrolled in Jordanian universities can be significantly predicted through their aesthetic values.     A Proposed Educational Vision For Activating The Role of The Jordanian Universities Students Families In Enhancing Students Intellectual Security From The Students Perspectives

    This study aimed to find out the role of the Jordanian families in establishing intellectual security in their children from the perspective of the Jordanian students enrolled in Jordanian universities. For this purpose, a questionnaire of 36 paragraphs was created. The questionnaire was divided into three domains: the social, the cultural and the religious domains. The study was conducted on a random sample of (2700) students from three public universities (the University of Jordan, Yarmouk University, Moa'ta University and Al-Balqa' Applied University) and three private universities (Amman Al-Ahliah, Azzaytouna al-Ordiniah and Jerash). The study was conducted during the second university term of 2015/2016 CE. The descriptive analytical approach was used. The study showed that the three domains (social, cultural and religious) were of high degree. The highest of them was the cultural domain. The two paragraphs which state (the family's quest to build a cultural system emerging from our religion, values, traditions and customs, consolidating the values of the theoretical and practical dimensions of moderation among children) occupied the first rank, followed by the social domain. The paragraph which states that (The family's doing its basic function of education and socialization) occupied the first rank, whereas the religious domain occupied the last one.     The Impact of Social Media on Unethical Behaviors from the Perspective of the Ninth and Tenth Grade Students in Jordan

    The present study aimed to explore the impact of social media on unethical behaviors from the perspective of ninth and tenth grade students in Jordan. The researchers adopted descriptive and quantitative approaches. They used a questionnaire to identify the social media platform used the most by ninth and tenth grade students in Amman and Balqa, Jordan. Through using the questionnaire, they aimed to explore the impact of social media on unethical behaviors in family and society.It was found that YouTube is the social media platform used the most by ninth and tenth grade students in Jordan.  Electronic games- e.g. Pubg, Fortnite, Sims and etc..- are ranked second in this regard. Facebook is ranked third. Instagram is ranked third too. Snapchat is ranked fourth and Twitter is ranked fifth. Twitter is ranked last.It was found that social media significantly affects family and society. It was found that social media has been playing a significant role in promoting unfamiliar values in society. Social media has been promoting the use of bad words among young people.  In terms of family, it was found that the prevalence of social media led to reducing the extent of interaction between family members. It was found that social media led to reducing the degree to which children interact with their family member. It was found that social media negatively affects family relationships.It was found that there are statistically significant differences –at the statistical significance level of (a=0.05)- between the respondents’ attitudes which can be attributed to city and family income. The latter difference are for the favor of the respondents living in the city and the respondents whose family income is high.The researchers recommend holding lectures for students and parents to promote awareness about the advantages and disadvantages of using social media. Such lectures must include information about the way of using social media and organizing one’s time to use it.     The Challenges Hindering the Promotion of a Culture of Integrity at Jordanian Universities

    The present study aimed to explore the challenges hindering the promotion of a culture of integrity at Jordanian universities from the perspective of faculty members. The sample consists from faculty members because faculty members play a significant role in promoting values among students and developing society. The sample consists from 30 faculty members who work in Jordanian universities.  It was found that there are several challenges hindering the promotion of a culture of integrity at Jordanian universities. Such challenging include: nepotism. It was found that there are social challenges hindering such promotion. The severity of the latter challenges at Jordanian universities in remote areas is greater than the counterpart severity at Jordanian universities in other areas. The challenges hindering such promotion include: having materialistic employees and the lack of resources at Jordanian universities. They include: failure to recruit highly qualified employees who are capable of promoting integrity in various areas. Faculty members at Jordanian universities play the most significant role in addressing these challenges. They play the most significant role in reducing the severity of the impacts of those challenges. They play the most significant role in improving the educational process. Jordanian universities have wise leaders who run universities in accordance with integrity standards. They meet various educational standards that are related to transparency, justice, accountability and equality in terms of opportunities. The researchers recommend meeting educational standards to promote a culture of integrity in public Jordanian universities. They recommend providing more courses that promote integrity among people in society. These courses should be provided at the centers that aim at establishing family-community partnerships. The researchers recommend conducting more studies that aim at promoting integrity. Conducting such studies shall contribute to meeting the vision of the Integrity and Anti-Corruption Commission.     هدفت الدراسة إلى الكشف عن أبرز المعوقات التي تحول دون توعية طلبة المدارس الأردنية بمخاطر الإرهاب الإلكتروني، وعن المقترحات التربوية لتفعيل دورها في توعية طلبتهم بمخاطر الإرهاب الإلكتروني من وجهة نظر طلبة كليات العلوم التربوية، والكشف عن وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية عند مستوى (0.05=α) في استجابة عينة الدراسة تعزى لمتغيرات: (الجنس والتخصص والخبرة في التعامل مع التطبيقات الحاسوبية والخبرة التدريسية والإقليم)، انتهجت الدراسة منهج البحث الوصفي الكمي. وبلغت عينة الدراسة (250) طالباً وطالبة. أظهرت نتائج الدراسة أن درجة مرتفعة لتقدير أفراد عينة الدراسة على معوقات توعية طلبة المدارس الأردنية بمخاطر الإرهاب الإلكتروني وعلى مقترحات لزيادة دور المدارس الأردنية في توعية طلبتهم بمخاطر الإرهاب الإلكتروني. ولم تظهر النتائج فروقا دلالة إحصائيا في استجابة عينة الدراسة تعزى لمتغيرات الدراسة. وفي ضوء نتائج الدراسة أوصى الباحثان بضرورة العمل من قبل قياديّي النظام التربوي على معالجة معوقات تنمية وعي طلبة المدارس بمخاطر الإرهاب الإلكتروني، والأخذ بالمقترحات التي خرجت بها الدراسة.This study explored the most significant obstacles hindering the promotion of awareness among Jordanian school students about the risks of Cyber-terrorism. It aimed to offer educational suggestions for activating the role of those schools in such promotion from the perspective of the students in the educational sciences faculties. It aimed to explore whether there is a significant difference- at the significance level of a=0.05- between respondents’ attitudes which can be attributed to gender, major, experience in using computer applications, academic qualification, experience, and province. The researcher of the present study adopted the descriptive qualitative approach because its suits this type of study. The sample consists of 250 female and male students. It was found that the severity of the obstacles hindering the promotion of awareness among Jordanian school students about the risks of Cyber-terrorism is high from the perspective of the members of the sample. The same applies to the suggestions made for activating the role of those schools in such promotion from the perspective of the students in the educational sciences faculties. It was found that there isn’t any significant difference- at the significance level of a=0.05- between respondents’ attitudes which can be attributed to gender, major, experience in using computer applications, experience and province. In the light of the study’s results, the researchers of the present study offered several recommendations. He recommends taking measures by the leaders in academic institutions to address the obstacles hindering the promotion of awareness among Jordanian school students about the risks of Cyber-terrorism.     Reasons for The Spread of The Phenomenon of Violence in Jordanian Universities from The Perspective of University Administrations and Their Role in Reducing Them

    Abstract:      The Study aimed to identify the causes of the phenomenon of violence in Jordanian universities, and university administrations role in the reduction of this phenomenon, to contribute to propose some solutions that may be useful in reducing the phenomenon. The study sample consisted of (333) of academic administrators in Jordanian universities for the academic year (2014/2015). For data analysis, arithmetic averages, standard deviations, multi-ANOVA, Scheffe test. The findings of the study showed that the estimate of the sample of the study of the causes of violence in Jordanian universities, was average, as shown by the results presence statistically significant differences in the causes of the phenomenon of violence in Jordanian universities, functional level and in favor of Vice President of the University and Dean of the College and Vice Dean of the Faculty.     International Consensus Statement on Rhinology and Allergy: Rhinosinusitis

    Background: The 5 years since the publication of the first International Consensus Statement on Allergy and Rhinology: Rhinosinusitis (ICAR‐RS) has witnessed foundational progress in our understanding and treatment of rhinologic disease. These advances are reflected within the more than 40 new topics covered within the ICAR‐RS‐2021 as well as updates to the original 140 topics. This executive summary consolidates the evidence‐based findings of the document. Methods: ICAR‐RS presents over 180 topics in the forms of evidence‐based reviews with recommendations (EBRRs), evidence‐based reviews, and literature reviews. The highest grade structured recommendations of the EBRR sections are summarized in this executive summary. Results: ICAR‐RS‐2021 covers 22 topics regarding the medical management of RS, which are grade A/B and are presented in the executive summary. Additionally, 4 topics regarding the surgical management of RS are grade A/B and are presented in the executive summary. Finally, a comprehensive evidence‐based management algorithm is provided. Conclusion: This ICAR‐RS‐2021 executive summary provides a compilation of the evidence‐based recommendations for medical and surgical treatment of the most common forms of RS
