Tämä opinnäytetyö on toteutettu Tech Data Finland Oy:lle. Tämän opinnäytetyön tavoitteena on luoda Tech Data Finland Oy:lle palvelulle X prosessikuvaus sekä toteuttaa tutkijan suosittelemat prosessimuutokset yrityksessä. Työn tavoitteena on luoda yritykselle yhtenäinen palveluprosessi palvelun X tuottamisesta sekä ohjeistus työntekijöille palveluntuottamiseen. Teoreettinen viitekehys sisältää kaksi pääaihetta: palvelun sekä laadun. Teoriaosuus valittiin produktiosuuden perusteella. Produktiosuudessa tarkastellaan palvelun X tuottamista organisaatiossa sekä selitetään seikkaperäisesti uuden palvelutuotantomallin perusteet. Produktiosuus sisältää myös arvion prosessin toteutumisesta, tiedonkeruumenetelmistä sekä tiedon luotettavuudesta. Opinnäytetyön tarkoituksena on antaa lukijalle tietoa palvelusta, palvelutuotannosta sekä laadusta. Avopuolisoiden yhteiselämän päättymisen taloudellinen järjestely

Avopuolisoiden omaisuuden järjestely avoliiton päättyessä Opinnäytetyön tarkoituksena oli selvittää avoliitossa olevien avopuolisoiden yhteiselämän päättymisen jälkeistä taloudellista tilannetta. Huhtikuun alussa 2011 tuli voimaan uusi laki avopuolisoiden yhteistalouden purkamisesta. Lain mukaan avopuolisoilla on oikeus hakea pesänjakajaa omaisuuden erottelun toimittamiseksi. Omaisuuden erottelussa on ollut ongelmia, joihin uusi laki avopuolisoiden yhteistalouden purkamisesta, tuo toivottavasti helpotusta. Uudistuksen tavoitteena on edistää oikeudenmukaisuutta avoliiton aikana karttuneen omaisuuden jaossa ja tarjota riidanratkaisumenettely. Avopuolisolla on oikeus hyvitykseen, jos hän on auttanut toista avopuolisoa kartuttamaan omaisuuttaan ja omaisuuden jakaminen ainoastaan omistuksen perusteella merkitsisi hyötymistä toisen kustannuksella. Hyvityksen saaminen edellyttää, että epäsuhta avopuolisoiden panostuksissa ei ole vähäinen. Avoliitossa voidaan tehdä myös keskinäisiä sopimuksia, joilla voidaan poiketa useimmista ehdotetun lain säännöksistä. Laki soveltuu sellaisiin avopuolisoihin, jotka ovat asuneet yhteistaloudessa vähintään viisi vuotta tai joilla on tai on ollut yhteinen tai yhteisessä huollossa oleva lapsi. Säännökset soveltuvat niin samaa kuin eri sukupuolta oleviin avopareihin. Laki soveltuu myös sellaisiin avoliittoihin, jotka ovat alkaneet ennen lain voimaantuloa. Opinnäytetyössä käsitellään avoeron lisäksi myös avoliiton päättymistä puolison kuolemaan. Avopuolisolla on lain mukaan mahdollisuus harkinnanvaraiseen avustukseen kuolinpesästä. Avopuoliso ei saa perintöoikeutta perittävän avopuolison omaisuuteen. Testamentti on edelleen tärkeä, mikäli on tarkoitus turvata avopuolison taloudellinen asema toisen puolison kuollessa. Avopuolison oikeudet eivät uudistuksen jälkeenkään rinnastu aviopuolison oikeuksiin. Lainsäädännössä avopuolisoa käsitellään useasti kuten vierasta ihmistä eli avopuolison asema on edelleen heikko. Tämä opinnäytetyö on tehty Etelä-Karjalan Osuuspankille. The new Act on the Dissolution of the Household of Cohabiting Partners entered into force at the beginning of April 2011. According to the new Act, cohabiting partners are entitled to apply for the appointment of an estate executor to carry out the separation of property. The reform aims to promote justice in the separation of property accumulated during the partnership and to offer a procedure for resolving disputes. Under certain conditions, cohabiting partners have a right to compensation for contributions for the benefit of the shared household. Cohabiting partners may derogate from most of the provisions of the Act by mutual agreement. The reform does not entail that the rights of cohabiting partners become comparable to the rights of married couples. A cohabiting partner does not have a right to inherit the property of the other cohabiting partner

Pienyrityksen strateginen markkinointi toiminnan kehityksen välineenä : Case: Yritys X

Opinnäytetyön tavoitteena oli löytää keinoja tehostaa toimeksiantajayrityksen toimintaa strategisen markkinoinnin suunnittelun kautta. Työn tarkoituksena oli löytää keinoja, joiden avulla yritys voi muokata toimintaansa tehokkaampaan suuntaan. Lisäksi selvitettiin, panostaako yritys markkinoinnissaan oikeisiin asioihin. Toimeksiantajan päämääränä oli saada kehitysehdotuksia toimintansa kehittämiseksi. Näiden ehdotusten tuli olla sellaisia, että yrityksessä olisi valmiudet niiden eteenpäin viemiseen. Lisäksi haluttiin selkeyttää toimeksiantajan toimintaa. Teoreettinen viitekehys pohjautui kirjallisuuteen strategisesta markkinoinnista sekä markkinoinnin suunnittelusta. Teorian sekä empirian painopiste oli nykytilanneanalyysissä sekä eri kilpailukeinojen vertailussa. Vallitsevan tilanteen analysoimisessa ja sen hyödyntämisessä käytettiin apuna mm. SWOT-analyysiä ja TOWS-matriisia. Kilpailukeinojen vertailu tehtiin neljän p:n avulla. Tutkimusmenetelmä oli laadullinen, ja materiaalia kerättiin haastattelujen avulla sekä yrityksen arkistoa tutkimalla. Tulokset osoittivat ristiriidan yrityksen nykyisen markki-noinnin suuntaamisessa ja sen todellisen myyntitoiminnan ja -määrien välillä. Kerätyn tiedon ansiosta paljastui, ettei yrityksessä kohdisteta markkinointia täysin tarkoituksenmukaisesti. Tämän vuoksi yrityksessä olisi tarpeen muuttaa markkinoinnin kohdistusta entistä enemmän pois yksityisasiakkaista. Lisäksi sekä olemassa olevaan että uutta luovaan suhde- ja kumppanuustoimintaan olisi hyvä panostaa enemmän. Molemmat edellä mainituista suhdetoiminnoista ovat yrityksessä jo arkipäivää, näin yrityksessä on jo valmiudet lähteä toteuttamaan kehitysehdotuksia.The aim of the thesis was to find ways to enhance the client company's operations through strategic marketing planning. The main objective was to come up with means to allow the company to modify its operations in a more efficient way. In addition, the purpose was also to study whether the company marketing focused on the right things. The company's main target was to gather proposals for developing their operations. It was important that these proposals were such that the company would have the ability to implement them. Also, the target was to clarify the client’s operations. The theoretical framework was based on the literature of strategic marketing and marketing planning. Theory and empirical focus was on analyzing the current situation as well as comparing various means of competition. For analyzing the situation and its utilization e.g. SWOT analysis and TOWS matrix were used. Comparing the means of competition was carried out with the help of 4 P:s. The research methodology was qualitative and the material was gathered through interviews and by studying the company's archives. Results showed the conflict between the company's marketing and the actual sales and volumes. The collected data revealed that the company targets its marketing in a way that is not completely purposeful. That is why the company would need to change marketing focus away from private customers. In addition, it would be good to invest more in both existing and new relationships and partnerships. Both of the above relations activities are a part of company's everyday functions. Thus this means that the company has the capacity to begin implementing development proposals

Effects of direct drilling on Fusarium DNA levels

We have found a highly significant correlation between Fusarium graminearum DNA and deoxynivalenol (DON) levels in Finnish oats, barle and spring wheat. Vaihtoehtoisten kitaran vireiden käyttäminen työkaluna kappaleiden teossa

Opinnäytetyössäni käsitellään vaihtoehtoisia kitaran vireitä kappaleiden teon näkökulmasta ja syitä, miksi kitaraa hyödyntävät kappaleiden kirjoittajat ovat siirtyneet käyttämään niitä. Tarkoituksena oli tuoda esille mahdollisimman yksinkertainen lähestymistapa kitaristeille erilaisiin kitaran vireisiin käytännöllisiä esimerkkejä hyödyntäen. Opinnäytetyössäni tutkitaan vaihtoehtoisten kitaran vireiden eri jaottelutapoja ja niistä löytyviä ainutlaatuisia helposti löytyviä harmonisia ratkaisuja. Lisäksi kahden nuottiesimerkin avulla havainnollistetaan mahdollisia tapoja hyödyntää erilaisia kitaran vireitä kappaleiden teossa. Tutkimustyön tuloksena syntyi nuottimateriaalia, jonka avulla on mahdollista havainnollistaa erilaisista kitaran vireistä löytyviä ainutlaatuisia sointuja yksinkertaisilla otteilla. Opinnäytetyössäni olevat sointudiagrammit soveltuvat hyödynnettäviksi kaikentasoisille kitaristeille

(Re)lexicalization of auto-written news with contextual and cross-lingual word embeddings

In news agencies, there is a growing interest towards automated journalism. Majority of the systems applied are template- or rule-based, as they are expected to produce accurate and fluent output transparently. However, this approach often leads to output that lacks variety. To overcome this issue, I propose two approaches. In the lexicalization approach new words are included in the sentences, and in relexicalization approach some existing words are replaced with synonyms. Both of the approaches utilize contextual word embeddings for finding suitable words. Furthermore, the above approaches require linguistic resources, which are only available for high- resource languages. Thus, I present variants of the (re)lexicalization approaches that allow their utilization for low-resource languages. These variants utilize cross-lingual word embeddings to access linguistic resources of a high-resource language. The high-resource variants achieved promising results. However, the sampling of words should be further enhanced to improve reliability. The low-resource variants did show some promising results, but the quality suffered from complex morphology of the example language. This is a clear next issue to address and resolving it is expected to significantly improve the results

Supplier’s guide for communication in software projects

In the modern age of digitalization an increasing number of companies is stepping into the world of software development. This also means companies of various technical skills levels. To create successful software systems, there needs to be adequate skill but also sufficient trust between the buyer of software development and the supplier. This is why the software development procurement process is very important. New buyers rarely want to take a lot of risk with software projects, which is why a lot of bad practices have stuck in the industry. There should be enough information and trust already in the procurement process, where the first mistakes are made. For this purpose special buyer’s guides have emerged to help new software buyers navigate this unknown ground and learn about software development and what creates value. The intent behind this thesis is to act as a so-called ”supplier’s guide” that teaches software companies how to improve their communication strategies towards a better procurement and development process. The result is an improved communication model consisting of a list of guidelines and directions to their application. This improved model gives advice on where to concentrate communication during the procurement and development process and how to communicate in the best way. Finally, this improved model is validated in the writer’s own professional network and adjustments to the model are presented

¿To Liberalize or Criminalize? A Comparative Case Study on Changes in Abortion Legislation in Colombia and Nicaragua

In this thesis I investigate the recent changes in abortion legislation in Colombia (liberalization) and Nicaragua (criminalization). By making a comparative case study I intend to find the factor(s) that could explain the different directions in legislation, given that both countries are of great similarity (location, religion, history, and political culture). The analysis made is based on John Kingdon's theories, thus the streams of processes (Problems, Policies and Politics), the Participants (inside and outside the government), and the Window of Opportunity are examined. As a complement the role of civil society as an agenda setter is studied further. I discover that there were great similarities between the two countries; the initiators in both cases got through their proposals, participants within government had most of the power and a change in national mood was critical to enact changes in legislation. However, to reach my objective, this thesis shows that both processes were of very different nature; the Colombian legislation change was made through a judicial process ignoring the political sphere, whereas the Nicaraguan was a result of an immensely politicized debate in the context of national elections
