Service quality of such public facility is measured and evaluated based on user experience, and planners utilize it to plan for future improvements. Importance-Performance Analysis is used in this research to identify aspects of service that are expected to be on top of enhancement priority list. Based on 159 students' responses, it was found that six service criterias are in high-priority-quadrant. These are crowding, sitting comfort, hygiene, driver behavior, driver cleanliness, and security. Specifically, driver behavior aspect is regarded as highly prioritized, whereas on the contrary angkot fare and operating time are considered good enough and thus placed on low-priority list

Continuous Choreographies as Limiting Solutions of NN-body Type Problems with Weak Interaction

We consider the limit $N\to +\infty$ of $N$-body type problems with weak interaction, equal masses and $-\sigma$-homogeneous potential, $0<\sigma<1$. We obtain the integro-differential equation that the motions must satisfy, with limit choreographic solutions corresponding to travelling waves of this equation. Such equation is the Euler-Lagrange equation of a corresponding limiting action functional. Our main result is that the circle is the absolute minimizer of the action functional among zero mean (travelling wave) loops of class $H^1$

Origem da expansão do Recife: divisão do solo e configuração da trama urbana

Diversos estudos sobre o Recife abordam a formação do primeiro núcleo urbano a partir do plano urbanístico do arquiteto holandês Pieter Post (1639) e defendem o crescimento urbano espontâneo da cidade, estruturado a partir dos caminhos que articulavam os engenhos ao porto. A Planta da Cidade do Recife e Arredores, de 1932, retrata o traçado urbano da época, enquanto o extenso território restante estava ocupado pelos engenhos. Em menos de um século, o âmbito rural se parcela em loteamentos, cuja evolução pretende-se mostrar na pesquisa ora em desenvolvimento. É no âmbito da carência de estudos que registrem o fenômeno da origem da urbanização do Recife que surge a ideia da elaboração de um projeto de pesquisa capaz de revelar a sua expansão urbana no Século XX, mostrando que ela se realiza por meio da divisão do solo rural, respaldada nas legislações urbanísticas de 1932 e 1936.The several available studies about the city of Recife, Brazil, consider the urban plan of the Dutch Architect Pieter Post (1639) as the basis of the first urban core, and propose a spontaneous urban sprawl following the paths that connected the farms to the harbor. Mahasiswa Dan Internet: Dua Sisi Mata Uang? Problematic Internet Use Pada Mahasiswa

Problematic Internet Use (PIU) is one of the negative effects of the internet use, but we can rarely find publications on PIU of Indonesian's college students, especially college students in Jakarta. The purpose of this research was to describe PIU among college students in Jakarta. The Generalized Problematic Internet Use Scale 2 was used to collect data of a total of 474 college students from three universities in Jakarta. The results showed that: a) For preference for online social interaction symptoms, participants preferred to do online social interaction rather than face to face interaction, especially when face to face interactions were not possible. b) For mood regulation symptoms, participants used internet to regulate their negative feelings. c) For cognitive preoccupation symptoms, participants tended to have obsessive thought patterns for their activity on internet. d) For compulsive internet use symptoms, participants found it difficult to restrict their internet use. e) For negative outcome symptoms, online activities of participants did not have negative influence on their daily routines. Furthermore, the results showed no significant differences of the PIU symptoms across gender and internet use duration. The purpose of this study was to determine the investment feasibility of the establishment of the branch office in Citeureup - Bogor regency by analyzing the legal, market, technical, human resources and the financial aspects. This study is a descriptive method using case study. The analysis of the market aspect is carried out to find out the economic potential, the competitive level of the concerned area and the potential of resources and placement. The analysis of the technical aspect is to assertain the kind of facilities and infrastructure needed for supporting branch operational in Citeureup. The analysis of the human resources aspect is to find out the quantity and quality of the employee needed, training and development needed and the salary which will be paid for the branch's employees. The legal aspect analysis is to describe requirement that needed according to Indonesian Bank Regulation on BPR. The analysis on the financial feasibility is carried out by estimating the Net Present Value (NPV), The Internal Rate of Return (IRR) and the Payback Period of the project. The feasibility calculation is based on the calculation result of income statement projection of BPR Rama Ganda for five years. The result of analysis on the establishment of this branch office shows that the NPV is positive at the weighted average cost of capital, the IRR is higher than cost of capital and the payback period is lower than three years. It shows that the establishment of branch office in Citereup is feasible, from the financial aspect point of view. Sensitivity analysis is simulated with the assumption of changing in the variable cash inflows and cash outflows. Reynaldo Disla (biografía): Nació en Cotuí, República Dominicana. Es narrador, teatrista y guionista de cine, radio y televisión. Y es uno de los pioneros del teatro de calle y del teatro de títeres del país. Realizó estudios de filosofía y letras en la Universidad Autónoma de Santo Domingo (UASD). Entre los reconocimientos que ha recibido están el premio de literatura joven del Royal Bank (en 1978 y 1979), el Premio Internacional Casa de las Américas (por Bolo Francisco, en 1985), el Premio Nacional de Teatro Cristóbal de Llerena (por sus libros Cuatro piezas de un acto, 1986, y El afanoso escribano Baltasar López de Castro, 1999), el Primer Premio del Concurso Dominicano de Teatro que otorga Casa de Teatro (1989) y el Premio de Cuento UCE (por su libro Historietas, en 2001). Noise, transient dynamics, and the generation of realistic interspike interval variation in square-wave burster neurons

First return maps of interspike intervals for biological neurons that generate repetitive bursts of impulses can display stereotyped structures (neuronal signatures). Such structures have been linked to the possibility of multicoding and multifunctionality in neural networks that produce and control rhythmical motor patterns. In some cases, isolating the neurons from their synaptic network revealsirregular, complex signatures that have been regarded as evidence of intrinsic, chaotic behavior. We show that incorporation of dynamical noise into minimal neuron models of square-wave bursting (either conductance-based or abstract) produces signatures akin to those observed in biological examples, without the need for fine-tuning of parameters or ad hoc constructions for inducing chaotic activity. The form of the stochastic term is not strongly constrained, and can approximate several possible sources of noise, e.g. random channel gating or synaptic bombardment. The cornerstone of this signature generation mechanism is the rich, transient, but deterministic dynamics inherent in the square-wave (saddle-node/homoclinic) mode of neuronal bursting. We show that noise causes the dynamics to populate a complex transient scaffolding or skeleton in state space, even for models that (without added noise) generate only periodic activity (whether in bursting or tonic spiking mode).Comment: REVTeX4-1, 18 pages, 9 figure

Lecciones aprendidas en la aplicación de una metodología consensuada de selección de residentes a nivel nacional en el salvador

En El Salvador, desde los inicios de las Residencias Médicas en los años sesenta, el proceso de selección dependió de las normativas y programas académicos en los hospitales correspondientes, los mismos hospitales emitían el diploma de especialista una vez transcurridos tres años de residencia. Desde el año 2004, la ley de Educación Superior del Ministerio de Educación estableció que debía ser una Universidad la que certificara y emitiera el título de Especialista después de aprobar el programa universitario respectivo durante los años de Residencia en determinado hospital. Antes de 2004, las Universidades, en coordinación con el hospital escuela respectivo, determinaban la metodología de selección de Residentes, habiendo al menos 10 procesos de selección diferentes con el resultado de un muy irregular nivel académico de ingreso, inconsistente capacidad psicológica para adaptarse al estrés, discriminación de ciertos hospitales escuela (al haber diferentes exámenes y fechas de los mismos los candidatos se examinaban en varios hospitales prefiriendo los de tercer nivel), presencia de residentes en especialidades que no eran de su preferencia pero que ofrecían empleo. Siendo que todos los hospitales en donde se desarrollan las Residencias Médicas en El Salvador son públicos (o de la Seguridad Social), el Ministerio de Salud, como entidad rectora sectorial, convoca a las instituciones formadoras y a los hospitales respectivos a unificar la metodología de selección de los Residentes a nivel Nacional que incluye: Prueba escrita, prueba psicológica, entrevista y evaluación del currículo. La única universidad pública (Universidad Nacional) y dos privadas (Universidad Dr. José Matías Delgado y Universidad Evangélica), en coordinación con el Ministerio de Salud, 10 hospitales públicos y de la Seguridad Social establecen una normativa nacional para el proceso de selección de residentes que incluía: Examen y fecha únicos para todo el país y todas las especialidades, criterios de promoción de las pruebas y porcentajes mínimos, tipo de pruebas psicológicas, fechas límite de entrega de resultados, así como el establecimiento de coordinaciones a cargo del proceso. Los resultados de 3 años de aplicación del proceso nacional de selección de residentes incluyen: Trabajo coordinado entre instituciones formadoras y empleadoras, mayor equidad en las oportunidades de Residencias, ordenamiento del proceso de selección y desarrollo de marco normativo nacional del mismo. Entre las lecciones aprendidas se consignan: El nivel académico continúa mostrando desigualdades y sobre todo mostrando deficiencias, fruto de una formación de pregrado con brechas importantes. Aunque mejoró la identificación de candidatos proclives a deserción por estrés, la presión de trabajo del sistema público es tal que especialidades relacionadas con cirugía y G&O, entre otras, aun muestran deserciones sobre todo en el primer año de residencia. La metodología de selección todavía no incluye la sistematización de los procesos de inducción administrativos, técnicos ni logísticos quedando estos a discreción de los hospitales. El presente ejercicio de armonizar la metodología de selección de los residentes a nivel nacional en El Salvador, demuestra que es posible establecer nexos efectivos de coordinación público/privado y formador/empleador que redundan en la mejoría y calidad de las Residencias Médicas

A reconfiguração espacial da Região Metropolitana do Recife: processo de fragmentação e integração

A Região Metropolitana do Recife (RMR) vem sendo palco do surgimento de novas urbanizações, propostas como cidades ou bairros planejados, espacialmente dispersos no território. Diante dessa situação, o texto apresenta uma análise do atual processo de estruturação das cidades distribuídas no entorno do Recife (núcleo metropolitano), chamando a atenção sobre a fragmentação e a integração espacial entre as novas urbanizações e os núcleos urbanos existentes.Recife’s Metropolitan Region (RMR) is being stage of new urbanizations, proposals such as cities or planned neighborhoods spatially dispersed in the territory.
