    Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan komunikasi sains dan penguasaan konsep fisika siswa yang ditandai dengan perolehan nilai rata-rata berturut-turut 40 dan 48, dimana nilai tersebut masih di bawah nilai KKM yaitu 70. Salah satu upaya yang dapat dilakukan oleh penulis untuk meningkatkan kemampuan penguasaan konseo fisika dan kemampuan komunikasi sains siswa yaitu dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran cooperative learning tipe think pair share. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh pembelajaran cooperative learning tipe think pair share terhadap kemampuan komunikasi sains dan penguasaan konsep fisika siswa. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X di salah satu SMA yang berada di Kota Bandung. Sampel pada penelitian ini adalah siswa dalam satu kelas X MIA D. Metode Penelitian yang digunakan adalah Pre-Eksperimental Designs dengan rancangan One-Group Pretes-Posttest Designs. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari instrumen tes kemampuan komunikasi sains dan penguasaan konsep fisika yang berupa soal pretes dan postes, instrumen non tes yang berupa lembar penilaian diskusi pasangan, lembar penilaian presentasi, lembar penilaian laporan dan lembar observasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan komunikasi sains dan penguasaan konsep fisika siswa meningkat setelah mendapatkan pembelajaran dengan model pembelajaran cooperative learning tipe think pair share dengan perolehan nilai rata-rata 74,03 untuk kemampuan komunikasi sains dan 74,93 untuk penguasaan konsep fisika, yang juga terlihat dari nilai effect size sebesar 0,51 untuk kemampuan komunikasi sains dan 0,52 untuk penguasaan konsep fisika siswa yang termasuk dalam kategori sedang. Simpulan dari penelitian ini model pembelajaran cooperative learning tipe think pair share berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan komunikasi sains dan penguasaan konsep fisika siswa. Kata kunci: cooperative learning tipe think pair share, kemampuan komunikasi sains, kemampuan penguasaan konsep fisika This research is motivated by the low ability of science communication and mastery of physics concept of students characterized by the acquisition of the average value of successive 40 and 48, where the value is still below the KKM value of 70. One of the efforts that can be done by the writer to improve the ability Mastery of physics concept and science communication ability of student that is by using cooperative learning model type think pair share. The purpose of this study is to determine the influence of cooperative learning learning type of think pair share to the ability of science communication and mastery of physics concepts of students. The population in this study is the students of class X in one of the high schools located in the city of Bandung. The samples in this study were students in one class X MIA D. The research method used was Pre-Experimental Designs with Pretest-Posttest Designs One-Group design. The instruments used in this research consisted of science communication skill test and mastery of physics concepts in the form of pretest and postes problem, non test instrument in the form of couples discussion sheet, presentation appraisal sheet, report assessment sheet and observation sheet. The results showed that the ability of science communication and mastery of the physics concept of students increased after getting learning with cooperative learning model type think pair share with the average value of 74.03 for the ability of science communication and 74.93 for the mastery of the concept of physics, which is also seen From the value of effect size of 0,51 for the communication ability of science and 0,52 for the mastery of physics concepts of students which included in medium category. Conclusion from this research cooperative learning model type think pair share influence on science communication ability and mastery of physics concept of student.     Physical Custody in Wisconsin Divorce Cases, 1980–1992

    This report examines data from the court record of 9,500 Wisconsin divorce cases in twenty-one representative counties for a period of twelve years, from 1980 to 1992, in order to document how child custody is being handled in divorce. We find an increased involvement of fathers with their children after divorce, particularly through joint legal custody (81 percent in 1992), but also in shared physical custody (14 percent in 1992), and in an increase in specific and detailed physical placement awards. We find substantial differences in custody awards related to situations and actors in the divorce process, and wide variations in custody awards between counties. We also find major differences between families who have equal 50/50 time-share and those who have unequal shared-custody arrangements. These two kinds of shared-custody cases have been treated as one type in the research on custody to date, but appear in our data to characterize two quite different kinds of families.

    PENERAPAN MODEL SAVI (SOMATIC AUDITORY VISUAL INTELEKTUAL) UNTUK MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR IPA MATERI PERUBAHAN KENAMPAKAN BUMI

    Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di kelas IV SDN Cibeunying Lembang yang berjumlah 20 siswa dengan jumlah siswa laki-laki sebanyak 9 orang dan jumlah siswa perempuan sebanyak 11 orang. Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah rendahnya hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPA materi perubahan kenampakan bumi diakibatkan oleh metode mengajar guru, yaitu metode konvensional. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana pelaksanaan pembelajaran IPA dengan model SAVI (Somatic Auditory Visual Intelektual). Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas Model Kemmis & Mc.Taggart melalui dua siklus. Untuk memperoleh data hasil penelitian, dibuat instrumen pembelajaran dan instrumen pengumpul data. Data dianalisis dengan cara kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian ini yaitu pelaksanaan pembelajaran selama dilaksanakan penelitian secara umum telah berlangsung dengan baik serta terdapat peningkatan hasil belajar IPA materi perubahan kenampakan bumi yang cukup signifikan selama penelitian berlangsung. Pada tindakan pembelajaran siklus I terdapat 70% siswa yang dapat mencapai nilai KKM dengan nilai rata-rata 60,3 sedangkan pada tindakan pembelajaran siklus II semua siswa atau 100% siswa dapat mencapain nilai KKM dengan nilai rata-rata 81,25. Direkomendasikan agar guru dapat menerapkan Model SAVI (Somatic Auditory Visual Intelektual) dengan perencanaan dan pelaksanaan yang baik agar hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPA materi perubahan kenampakan bumi dapat meningkat. The purpose of this study was to determine how the improve student learning used SAVI (Somatic Auditory Visual Intelektual) model. The method used in this study is classroom action research Kemmis & Mc.Taggart model with two cycles. To get the result of this study used learning instuments and collecting of the data instruments. The result of this study is the implementation of learning for conducting this study in general has been going well and there is an increasing learning outcomes significantly. It is recomended that the teachers can apply SAVI models with good planning and implementation to student learning outcomes of science can increase the material of changws the appearance of the earth

Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitiankorelasional. Populasinya adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII yang berjumlah 159 siswa.Pengambilan sampel berdasarkan teknik porpusive sampling menggunakan rumusSlovin berjumlah 61 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengandokumentasi, tes dan angket. Teknik pengujian hipotesis menggunakan regresiganda, koefesien determinasi berganda, koefesien korelasi ganda dan uji F.Berdasarkan pengolahan data, nilai koefesien korelasi ganda antara kesiapandan kemandirian belajar dengan hasil belajar sebesar 0,40 yang berarti terdapatkorelasi taraf sedang dengan koefesien determinasi (r) = 16%. Hasil pengujiansignifikansi diperoleh dari nilai Fhitung > Ftabel yaitu 5,63 > 3,15 sehingga Ha diterima.Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang positif dan 2signifikan antara kesiapan dan kemandirian belajar dengan hasil belajar IPS terpadusiswa kelas VII MTs Negeri Rukoh Banda Aceh

    USING MIND-MAPPING TO IMPROVE READING COMPREHENSION AND WRITING ACHIEVEMENTS OF THE 4TH SEMESTER STUDENTS OF STAIN CURUP

    Abstract: This research was aimed to find out whether or not there was a significant improvement in students’ reading comprehension and writing achievements after they were taught by using Mind-mapping and there were significant differences in reading comprehension and writing achievements between the students who were taught by using mind-mapping and those who were not. This research also aimed to know the students’ feedback about the use of mind-mapping in learning reading and writing. A quasi experimental method was applied in this research. There were 40 fourth semester students of English Education Study Program of STAIN Curup selected as the sample by using a purposive sampling technique. They were divided into experimental and control groups equally. The data were collected by using a reading comprehension test, a writing test, and a questionnaire. The results of the tests were analyzed quantitatively by using independent and paired sample t-tests and the results of the questionnaire were analyzed quantitatively by using simple percentage analysis and described qualitatively as well. The results of this research showed that there was a significant improvement in students’ reading comprehension and writing achievements and  there  were also significant  differences  in  reading  comprehension and writing achievements between the students who were taught by using mind-mapping and those who were not. The students also showed positive feedback towards the use of mind-mapping. In conclusion, mind-mapping could improve the students’ reading and writing achievement.   Keywords: Reading comprehension, writing achievement, mind-mappin
