    For a prime p we define Pascal\u27s Kernel K(p,s) = [k(p,s)ij]∞i,j=0 as the infinite matrix satisfying k(p,s)ij = 1/px(i+jj) mod p if (i+jj) is divisible by ps and k(p,s)ij = 0 otherwise. While the individual entries of Pascal\u27s Kernel can be computed using a formula of Kazandzidis that has been known for some time, our purpose here will be to use that formula to explain the global geometric patterns that occur in K(p,s). Indeed, if we consider the finite (truncated) versions of K(p,s), we find that they can be decomposed into superpositions of tensor products of certain primitive p x p matrices

The archival version of this work was published in The ECS Journal of Solid State Science and Technology, 2(9), R201 - R207, 2013.We present a simple method to measure the cathodoluminescence of charging and non-charging phosphor powder layers at low primary electron beam energy. The method is based on comparing a non-charging surface of a conducting material such as copper or indium tin oxide with charging surfaces of non-conducting phosphors. The phosphors that were investigated were ZnO:Zn, which is slightly conductive and supposed not to charge upon electron bombardment, and Y2O3:Eu, which charges at sufficiently high current density. It was found that the luminous efficacies of ZnO:Zn and Y2O3:Eu at 5 keV primary beam energy were 23 and 16 lm/w respectively, larger than reported in the literature. This is partly explained by calculating the efficacy from the summation of the luminances measured in the reflected and transmitted mode. This method also minimizes the inaccuracy introduced by the effect of the coating weight. The ratio between luminances measured in reflection and transmission is described in terms of a one-dimensional light scattering theory

    Bakalářská práce se zabývá návrhem silničního mostu na komunikaci III/1219 přes řeku Lomnici. Byly navrženy 3 studie, přičemž řešenou variantou byl dvoutrámový betonový most. Výpočty byly prováděny ručně a z části v programu Scia Engineer. Výsledky obou metod byly vzájemně porovnány. Konstrukce je posuzována podle Eurokódů.Bachelor´s thesis is dealing with design of the road brigde on the road III/1219 over the river Lomnice. Three possible variants were developed, the chosen one is girder concrete bridge. A calculation has been done by hand, part of the thesis has been performed using Scia Engineer. Results were compared. The construction has been considered acconding to Eurocode.

    Diplomová práce je zaměřena na návrh silničního mostu přes železniční trať. Jsou navrženy tři varianty - monolitická konstrukce, most působící jako nosník s náběhem a prefabrikovaný trámový most. Třetí varianta byla zvolena. Pro vytvoření modelu a zjištění vnitřních sil je využit výpočetní program Scia Engineer 15.1. Všechny výpočty jsou provedeny podle Eurokodu.The final thesis is focused on design of road bridge over a railway track. The design is processed in tree options - a cast-in-place concrete structure, brigde as a haunched beam and a prefabricated ginger bridge. The third option was chosen. To model the structure and to obtain the internal forces is used FEM computational software Scia Engineer 15.1. All calculations were performed in accordance with Eurokode.
