The Theological Effort of Hafiz Ali of Korcha

Hafiz Ali Korcha\u27s work and activities in the fields of theology, literature, and education can be viewed, from the historical-theological perspective, as a reflection of his theological effort. This is the central category, containing as it does all of Korcha\u27s cognitive-theoretical, axiological, and cultural-theological speculations, as well as his views on science, literature, cultural policy, and religion. In his entire theological opus, one feels the fragrance of the Qur\u27an and of the life of Prophet Muhammad a.s. Theological effort, as understood by Korcha, differs from theology in that it is the source of theologizing and is a primordial tendency of the human mind. Theologizing is in the function of life and is an expression of overall experience. Indeed, it is identical with the feeling of life. Preoccupied with the question of the possibility of the realization of the tasks of theology in the history of human thought, Korcha regarded theological effort as an expression of human spirituality and, as such, a factor of integration and humanization, reaching to the very core of the idea of true theology and the human being as a cultural and historical being. Finally, this central idea inspiring Korcha\u27s work reconciles in itself his experience and thought; it applies equally to art and law, or religion, becoming their concept, an universal intellectual force and the form and content of life

Introduction: The intensity and the difference between the material and spiritual needs of youth are the most common factors that cause depression at a young age. Purpose: To analyze and evaluate the presence or absence of depression among students of two elementary schools in the Municipality of Gjakova. Methodology: The population was 200 students from eighth grade (56.5% female & 43.5% male) from the primary school “Zekeria Rexha” and “Mustafa Bakija” in Gjakova (100 students per institution). The survey was conducted during March-April 2019. Results: 97 (98.5%) students lived in the city. 105 (52.5%) students stated that sometimes they are upset, 57 (28.5%) students are not happy in life, and 76 (38%) students are worried about their future. 20 (10%) students declare that they will they will commit suicide as soon as the opportunity arises, while another 20 (10%) would like to die. Lack of interest in learning and physical activities, malnutrition, insomnia are some of the factors that are affecting the loss of their positive energy. Conclusions: Coordination and organization of activities between the MoH and MEST on health education, workshops and research aimed at preventing youth depression, as well as creating opportunities to engage in every school a psychologist and sociologist. Teachers and parents need to work together to bring children to school. At the same time, the media should be encouraged to develop editorial policies in favor of health education for the prevention of depression. Keywords:  Youth, students, school, teachers, parents, depression, etc

Two essays on the optimal control of infectious diseases: Examining discrepancies between discrete-time and continuous-time models

A growing body of literature on the optimal allocation of resources in controlling the spread of communicable diseases has garnered considerable attention during the last four decades. Although such literature is relatively unanimous formally speaking (i.e., marrying tools of optimal control theory with epidemiological nonlinear models), it has been quite polarized over both the theoretical question of the choice of time scale (i.e., discrete versus continuous) and, relatedly, the question of the most adequate optimization tool (Pontryagin’s Maximum Principle versus Bellman’s Dynamic Programming) to be employed in determining the lowest-cost policy for containing and eradicating the infection. This thesis theoretically investigates the roots of the discrepancies that exist between these two divided bodies of literature, seeking for ways to reconcile the results that are obtained by these two different approaches. The central analysis focuses on two pairs of articles on the control of SIS infections: 1) two classical articles written in the 1970s that disagree on the pulsing behavior of the optimal policy over discrete and continuous time, and 2) two recent articles that examine the optimal allocation of funds between multiple connected populations when the social planner faces tight budgets, pointing out the difficulties that arise in analytically solving the problem in continuous time. The implications of this theoretical investigation extend to similar models in topics as diverse as fishery management, corruption control, and crime prevention, while its practical contribution lies in carefully prescribing optimal intervention strategies for public health policymakers

    Understanding the flexible consumer lifestyle

A new generation of consumers is emerging, with individuals embracing precarity in nearly all aspects in their lives. These flexible consumers eschew ownership and daily routines in favour of nomadism and constantly renewed experiences. Laetitia Mimoun and Fleura Bardhi explore how these people manage the challenges associated with serial transitions, and what it means in terms of market opportunities

SENSORLESS SPEED ROTOR FLUX ORIENTED CONTROL OF THREE PHASE INDUCTION MOTOR

    Get PDF
Sensorless speed rotor flux oriented control of induction motor drives it is known to produce high performance because of decoupling rotor flux and torque producing current components of stator currents. This paper describes a simple and robust sensorles speed rotor flux oriented control system for three phase induction motor drives that it is adequate for high dynamic applications. To control the rotor speed of the induction motor drives, a PI controller is included in the speed control system. A hysteresis current controllers are applied for changing the magnitude and the frequency of the output voltage of the PWM voltage source inverter which fed the induction motor. In order to verify the proposed sensorlees speed control system, the model of the system is implemented in MATLAB Simulink software, which is suitable for testing the dynamic simulation. Simulation results shows that the reference and rotor speed of induction motor are very closed to each-other under step load torque changes
