The European Social Fund is one of the instruments used to prevent the unemployment of people with disabilities in Poland. The Author of the paper assesses the degree to which in 2004–2006 Poland made use of the ESF financial resources under ‘Measure 1.4’ of the Sectoral Operational Programme for Human Resources Development. It is EFS funds and other EU resources that may, at least partially, prevent numerous problems. This may be achieved by the organization of vocational training and psychology workshops for people with disabilities and for those who collaborate with them

The main goal of this article is to present the attitude of authorities of Polish People’s Republic towards the southern extension of the European Community of Greece between 1961 and 1981. In this article, among other things, the classified correspondence between the Polish diplomats who were allocated to posts in Athen’ s and the fourth department of Polish People’s Republic’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, has been presented. This article has also presented the responses of the Polish press (i.e. “Trybuna Ludu”, “Życie Warszawy”, “Polityka”) to the cooperation of Greece to EWG.Zasadniczym celem artykułu było zaprezentowanie stanowiska władz Polskiej Rzeczpospolitej Ludowej wobec południowego rozszerzenia Wspólnot Europejskich o Grecję w latach (1961–1981). W artykule przedstawiono m.in., korespondencję pomiędzy polskimi dyplomatami przebywającymi w Atenach a DEP. IV Ministerstwa Spraw Zagranicznych PRL (Europa Zachodnia), w której przybliżono polskie oceny długiego i skomplikowanego procesu adaptacji Grecji do wymogów wspólnotowych. W artykule zaprezentowano także reakcje prasy polskiej (m.in.: „Trybuny Ludu”, „Życia Warszawy”, „Polityki”, „Prawa i Życia”) na kooperację kraju z EWG

The paper presents the opinions of Polish journalists on the results of the elections to the European Parliament in Poland in 2014. The paper discusses the style of the election campaigns conducted by the different political parties. It also assesses the degree to which politicians and society were involved in the European elections. The paper presents the profiles of EP members published in the Polish press. The analysis is conducted on the basis of articles published from April 15 till May 27, 2014 in “Gazeta Wyborcza”, “Rzeczpospolita”, “Zielony Sztandar”, “Przegląd”, “Gazeta Polska”, “Najwyższy Czas”, “Polityka”, “Wprost” and “Newsweek”

The issue of Germany in the „Rzeczywistość” weekly

Zasadniczym celem artykułu jest przedstawienie poglądów publicystów tygodnika społeczno-politycznego „Rzeczywistość” (m.in., Huberta Kozłowskiego, Wacława Piątkowskiego, Jerzego Pardusa, Jana Norskiego, Jana Rusinowicza) na temat wzbudzający wiele kontrowersji w czasach PRL-u tzw. „kwestia niemiecka”. The principal objective of the paper is to present the outlook of joumalists writing for the socio-political weekly „Rzeczywistość” (such as Hubert Kozłowski, Wacław Piątkowski, Jerzy Pardus, Jan Norski, and Jan Rusinowicz) on the so-called ‘German issue’, which stirred up considerable controversy at the time of the Polish People’s Republic (PRL). In the period 1981-1989, the joumalists of „Rzeczywistość were waming against the German threat, which was in their opinion apparent in many forms. Their articles were supposed to produce the desired response in society, which should conseąuently support the Communist party in their struggle to defend the post-war status quo, deny the claim that there was a German minority in the PRL, and the perceive the strengthening army of the FRG, as well as the activities of German revanchists, as a threat

Effects of Superhydrophobic Aerogel Surface Coatings on Drag Reduction

The objective of this project was to determine if superhydrophobic aerogel-based surface coatings have an effect on hydrodynamic drag. Superhydrophobic aerogels were fabricated using Union College’s patented rapid supercritical extraction technique. These aerogels were crushed and combined with a perfluorinated ion-exchange membrane to create a superhydrophobic coating that can be painted on to surfaces. These coatings are 250% aerogel by weight to Nafion in solution, and exhibit an average contact angle with water of 160°. An investigation of the aerogel powders and films using a scanning electron microscope (SEM) revealed that the most successful films had an average aerogel material width of 50 μm, uniform distribution of aerogel material on the coated slide, and that the peaks of the aerogel material coming into contact with the water had a feathery, crystalline appearance. Three experiments were designed and conducted to determine if coating an object had an effect on the drag forces. The first experiment was a falling ball experiment, which examined the falling velocity of coated and uncoated balls gliding down an inclined surface. The second experiment used a rotational viscometer to examine the difference in torque required to rotate a spindle in water. The third experiment used particle image velocimetry (PIV) to examine the wake size of coated and uncoated cylinders in cross flow. For the conditions tested, no significant differences were observed between coated and uncoated surfaces. These experiments were performed at low Reynolds numbers (between 613 and 10,258), which are characterized by a combination of friction drag and pressure drag. Future work with these surfaces should include testing in flows of higher Reynolds numbers, as well as conducting experiments that examine pressure drag and friction drag separately

Dále byl proveden návrh a posouzení těchto prvků, spojů a kotvení dle norem ČSN EN.The topic of the bachelor thesis is the garden summerhouse made of wooden-based materials. This thesis contains brief research of garden summerhouses. In terms of the bachelor thesis, there is a layout of the garden summerhouse made of wooden-based materials in two variants. A static calculation of the individual elements of the garden summerhouse was made for the chosen variant. Furthermore, the design and assessment of these components, joints and anchoring were made according to norms ČSN EN.221 - Katedra konstrukcívýborn

This bachelors work deals with the HMI module of the KNX bus system. KNX is the worldwide standard for building management. The main aim was to design and implement an intelligent switch for switching lights and visualization of communication. The intelligent switch will contain a button to turn lights on and off, and a display, on which communication with the bus will be visualized. The LED will indicate the on/off status of the light.450 - Katedra kybernetiky a biomedicínského inženýrstvívelmi dobř
