La aportación de la prueba pericial científica en el proceso penal

Lla prueba pericial se ha convertido en un medio de prueba de mayor valor a la prueba testifical en el proceso penal español. En este trabajo se han estudiado 23 casos de menores desaparecidos con resultado de muerte en el siglo XXI juzgados, al menos, en primera instancia, concluyendo que es necesario que la prueba científica se base en criterios cuantitativos, en métodos científicos con un margen de error conocido y recomendando que existan mecanismos reguladores de la prueba pericial científica aportada en el proceso penal como medio de prueba.Expert evidence has become a means of proof of greater value to the testimony in the spanish criminal proceedings. Periodic solutions of Euler-Lagrange equations with sublinear potentials in an Orlicz-Sobolev space setting

In this paper, we obtain existence results of periodic solutions of hamiltonian systems in the Orlicz-Sobolev space $W^1L^\Phi([0,T])$. We employ the direct method of calculus of variations and we consider  a potential  function $F$ satisfying the inequality $|\nabla F(t,x)|\leq b_1(t) \Phi_0'(|x|)+b_2(t)$, with $b_1, b_2\in L^1$ and  certain $N$-functions $\Phi_0$

Psychological Aspects in Movies about Pandemics. When "You Can't See (in) the Pandemic". Blindness, (2008), Bird Box (2018)

Situations in which a sense is lost, such as sight, or when we must cancel it, because our lives may be at stake, pose a significant stress load. If this is also coupled with an inexplicable contagion and a transmission of the pathology without apparent cause, and for no known reason, it adds more psychological discomfort to the physical discomfort. The sense of sight is one of the most important in the life we lead in this 21st century. The films chosen in this article (Blindness, 2008 and Bird Box 2018), allow us to reflect on these issues, literally and figuratively.Las situaciones en las que se pierde un sentido, como la vista, o debemos anularlo porque nuestra vida puede estar en juego, suponen una carga de estrés importante. Si además esto va aparejado con un contagio inexplicable y una transmisión de la patología sin causa aparente, y sin razón conocida, añade más malestar psicológico al malestar físico. El sentido de la vista es uno de los primordiales en la vida que llevamos en este siglo XXI. Las películas elegidas en este artículo (A ciegas, 2008 y A ciegas 2018), nos permiten reflexionar sobre estas cuestiones, en sentido literal y figurado

Estudio de la extremidad costoesternal para la estimación de la edad

Unos de los métodos má s empleados para la estimación de la edad a partir es el estudio morfológico de la cuarta costilla derecha. El material utilizado para este estudio han sido 180 individuos (90 mujeres y 90 varones) de sexo y edad conocidos, de poblaci ón española contemporánea, se ha realizado estudio morfológico de la unión esternal de la tercera, cuarta y quinta costillas, tanto derechas como izquierdas proponiendo un método a partir del cual se pueda estimar la edad en población española contemporánea.A few of the most used methods for estimating the age from the morphological study is the fourth right rib. The m aterial used for this st udy has been 180 individuals (90 females and 90 males) of k nown age and sex, contemporary S panish population, results from morphological study of the sternal joint of the third, fourth and fifth ribs, both right and left proposing a method from which age can be estimated in contemporary S panish population

Loss, Death and Grief in the Face of Pandemics: "Putting Love where there is Pain". The Painted Veil, Love in the Time of Cholera and The City of Joy

The pain of grief after a real or perceived loss is a pain that invades our lives and transforms our biography. An epidemic or pandemic situation causes death under harsher and more complex conditions; sometimes it prevents the emotional farewell of the deceased person by maintaining the rules that prevent the spread of the disease. And the pain grows. Among the various ways of coping with the pain of loss, is paying attention to the love that the deceased person or the people around us have left us after the death. We are going to extract several lessons from three films that tell us about death from the bottom of the heart.El dolor del duelo tras una pérdida real o percibida es un dolor que invade nuestra vida y transforma nuestra biografía. Una situación de epidemia o pandemia provoca que la muerte se produzca en condiciones más duras y complejas; en ocasiones impide la despedida afectiva de la persona fallecida por mantener las normas que evitan el contagio de la enfermedad. Y el dolor se acrecienta. Entre las diversas maneras de afrontar el dolor de la pérdida, está prestar atención al amor que nos ha dejado la persona fallecida o las personas que nos rodean tras el deceso. Vamos a extraer varias enseñanzas de tres películas que nos hablan de la muerte desde lo más profundo del corazón
