    The purpose of this study was to find out how the implementation of Full Day School in Improving the Learning Achievement of Class VIII Students in MTs. Al-Husna, Tangerang City, Banten. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative research method, namely by observing the research location, conducting interviews and collecting data from various sources related to the research. The results of this study conclude: The implementation of full day school at MTs Al-Husna has been going well. Students get better report cards. Students are accustomed to praying dhuha, praying dhuhur, asr in congregation, dhikr, and reading the Qur'an, without being ordered by their parents. Students are able to read the Qur'an in accordance with tajwid. Students are able to memorize the Qur'an juz 29 and juz 30

    This study aims to describe the learning process with the Whatshap Application, Office 365 for Education, and Web Blog, as well as the difficulties experienced by teachers and students while learning. This research is an experimental method with a sample population of eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 3 Rongga amounting to 30 people. Data collection was carried out using obesity and test techniques. The instrument used was the microsoft form questionnaire sheet and the question sheet with multiple choice forms. Research validation was tested with external validity. Data analysis techniques were used to analyze learning success using SPSS.     Illocutionary Speech Acts of Verbal Bullying in Dahl’s the Big Friendly Giant and Its Impacts on Self-Esteem of the Main Characters

    The thesis aims to describe illocutionary speech acts of verbal bullying from a children’s literature entitled the Big Friendly Giant written by Roald Dahl. The research was designed as a qualitative study and applied content analysis. The used instruments were the tables contained illocutionary speech acts indicating verbal bullying and self-esteem. The data formed in the narrative quotations, which those were analyzed with applying Searle’s illocutionary speech acts. Verbal bullying were classified into six types, such as insulting, reviling, calling by bad name, public shaming, spreading gossip, and accusing. Furthermore, the data were connected with the issue of self-esteem having five senses proposed by Reasoners, such as sense of security, identity, belonging, purpose, and competence. The results indicated that two main figures experienced four of six verbal bullying types, such as insulting consisting of 19 utterances, or 73% of whole data, 1 datum of reviling (5.3%), 5 data of calling by bad names (19%), and 1 of accusing (5.3%). Meanwhile, the data of self-esteem informed 1 utterance of sense of identity (7%), belonging (2 utterances or 15%), purpose (5 utterances, 36%), and competence (6 utterances or 43%). In conclusion, the Big Friendly Giant can be recommended as English subject material because of providing a unique illustration for school students in dealing with verbal bullying which motivates them to erecttheir better future.         KeyWords: Illocutionary Speech Acts, Self-Esteem, the Big Friendly Giant, Verbal Bullying

    Peningkatan kinerja mengajar guru merupakan unsur terpenting dalam pelaksanaan tugas guru, sehingga upaya penyempurnaan kinerja mengajaritu merupakan hal yang diperlukan. Kepemimpinan instruksional kepala sekolah dan motivasi berprestasi guru merupakan variabel yang mempengaruhi kinerja mengajar guru. Permasalahandalampenelitianiniadalahbagaimanagambarandanseberapabesarpengaruhkepemimpinaninstruksionalkepalasekolahdanmotivasiberprestasi guru terhadapkinerjamengajar guru. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahuigambaranpengaruh kepemimpinan instruksional kepala sekolah dan motivasi berprestasi guru terhadap kinerja mengajar guru. Hipotesis yang diajukan adalah terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara; (1) kepemimpinan instruksional kepala sekolah terhadap kinerja mengajar guru, (2) motivasi berprestasi guru terhadap kinerja mengajar guru, (3) kepemimpinan instruksional kepala sekolah dan motivasi berprestasi guru terhadap kinerja mengajar guru. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatifdenganmetode survey dandeskriptif analitik. Populasiterdiridari 112 kepalasekolahdan 1513 orang guru.Sampel diambil melalui random sampling area sebanyak 35 orang kepala sekolah dan 94 orang guru sekolah dasar di Kota Sukabumi. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui angket skala lima kategori Likert. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah korelasi pearson product moment, determinasi, dan regresi (sederhana dan ganda). Selanjutnya data yang telahterkumpuldiolahkemudianditafsirkan, dianalisisdandideskripsikansesuaidenganmasalahdantujuanpenelitian. Hasil penelitian diperoleh gambaran aktual: (1) Kepemimpinan instruksional kepala sekolah berpengaruh kuat dan signifikan terhadap kinerjamengajar guru SD Negeridi Kota Sukabumi, (2) motivasi berprestasi guru berpengaruh sangat kuat dan signifikan terhadap kinerja mengajar guru SD Negeridi Kota Sukabumi, (3) kepemimpinan instruksional kepala sekolah dan motivasi berprestasi guru berpengaruh sangat kuat dan signifikan terhadap kinerja mengajar guru SD Negeridi Kota Sukabumi. Dalamupayameningkatkankinerjamengajar guru, kepalasekolahharuslebihmengapresiasigagasan/pendapat yang diberikan guru dengancaramelakukanpertemuansecaraberkaladanterprogramuntukdapatmenerimamasukandari guru danstafsekolah, mengirimkan guru dalampelatihan-pelatihanpeningkatanprofesionalisme guru. Kepadapihak-pihak yang terkaitlangsungdenganpenyelenggaraanpendidikanhendaknyamemberikandukungannyataterhadapupaya-upaya yang dilakukanpihaksekolahdalamrangkameningkatanmutupendidikan. The improvement of teaching performance of teacher is the most important thing in teacher job execution, therefore the effort to achieve the performance is definitely needed. The principal instructional leadership and teacher achievement motivation are variable to influence the teacher performance. The problem in this research is now to figure out and how it influence the principal instructional leadership and teacher achievement motivation to the teaching performance of teacher. The purpose of the research is to figure out the influence of principal instructional leadership and teacher achievement motivation to the teaching performance of teacher. The hypothesis proposed is that there are significant influence between; (1) the principal instructional leadership to the teaching performance of teacher, (2) teacher achievement motivation to the teaching performance of teacher, (3) the principal instructional leadership and teacher achievement motivation to the teaching performance of teacher. The research uses qualitative approach with survey method and analytical descriptive. The populations are 112 principal and 1513 teacher. The sample are taken by area random sampling of 35 principals and 94 teachers of elementary school at SukabumiMunicipality. The research also uses five scalaquisionairedata collecting technique Likert category. The data analyzing technique used is pearson product momentcorelation, determination, and regresoni (simple and double). The data then is interpreted, analyzed and described in accordance with the problem and the purpose of the research. The research reveals actual description; (1) The principal instructional leadership has significant and strong influence to the teaching performance of public elementary teacher at Sukabumi Municipality, (2)The teacher achievement motivation has very significant and strong influence to the teaching performance of public elementary teacher at SukabumiMunicipality, (3)The principal instructional leadership and teacher achievement motivation have very significant and strong influence to the teaching performance of public elementary School teacher at Sukabumi Municipality. In order to improve the teaching performance of teacher, the principal should appreciate more to the ideas/inputs from teacher by having organized and regular meeting with teacher and staff, sending the teacher to a sort of teacher training to improve the teacher professionalism the school also should get more real support from community and other related sectors for what the school has done in order to improve the quality of education

    Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengisolasi, menyeleksi dan mengkarakterisasi Bakteri Asam Laktat (BAL) dari induk abalon yang berpotensi sebagai kandidat probiotik pada sistem budidaya abalon. Isolasi selektif BAL dilakukan menggunakan media de Man Rogosa Sharpe Agar. Isolat BAL yang berpotensi sebagai probiotik diskrining. Pemilihan ini didasarkan atas kemampuannya dalam menekan pertumbuhan bakteri patogen, resistensi terhadap kondisi asam, resistensi terhadap bile salt (empedu). Selanjutnya dilakukan karakterisasi dan identifikasi untuk mengetahui spesiesnya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 2 di antara 10 isolat yang berhasil diisolasi dari abalon berpotensi untuk dikembangkan menjadi bakteri probiotik karena mempunyai kemampuan menghambat beberapa bakteri patogen yaitu Eschericia coli, Bacillus cereus dan Staphylococus aureus, mampu tumbuh pada kondisi asam dan toleran terhadap cairan empedu selama inkubasi 24 jam.     Jalan merupakan fasilitas penting bagi kehidupan masyarakat saat ini hingga seterusnya. Jalan juga menghubungkan antara satu daerah dengan daerah yang lainnya seperti halnya ingin berpergian ke suatu tempat yang ingin dituju. Dengan meningkatnya pertumbuhan penduduk berdampak besar bagi kinerja jalan dan menyebabkan ketidaknyamanan saat menggunakan kendaraan. Salah satunya yang menjadi permsalahan yang selalu terjadi saat ini ialah kemacetan lalu-lintasyang terjadi di simpang tiga Cidahu Kabupaten Sukabumi. Kemacetan ini sangat mengganggu sekali dan menjadi hambatan yang cukup vital untuk para pengguna jalan disekitarnya. Melihat dari kondisi seperti ini kapasitas kendaraan, waktu, dan volume kendaraan itu tidak teratur dengan baik sehingga mengalami kemacetan di persimpangan tersebut. Tujuan dari penelitian ini ialah mengidentifikasi kemacetan lalu-lintas  simpang tiga Cidahu Kabupaten Sukabumi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa kondisi operasional simpang pada hari senin merupakan puncak tertinggi dibandingkan hari yang lainnya sehingga harus diadakannya alternatif seperti pelebaran jalan dan pengaturan simpang tersebut.     A NEW MODEL ON BENTHIC FORAMINIFER IMAGE CLASSIFICATION AND DEFINITIONS BASED ON CONVENTIONAL NEURAL NETWORK (CNN)

    Fossil studies are of great importance in order to observe the change of living species over the years, to make inferences by using the information provided by the observed species, and to understand the developing and changing structure of the world we live in over the years. However, the examination and interpretation of fossil specimens is a complex and long process. Artificial intelligence studies have begun to be applied to this field in order to facilitate the working methods of paleontologists. The detection and classification of fossil specimens with the aid of computers simplifies this process as much as possible compared to manual classification processes and reduces foreign dependency for fossil assemblages for which paleontologists are not experts. To achieve this, 9 benthic foraminiferal species and non-foraminiferal sample photographs from a selected dataset were used. In this study, a new method developed for the classification of benthic foraminifera using deep convolutional neural networks, reaching higher accuracy than the results in the literature, is presented. With this method, at least 70% accuracy rates were achieved in the test results of the trained system. This study, which reached high accuracy rates with a new method, has created a successful development for the branch of paleontology in the use of artificial intelligence in microfossil identification

    PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN BERBASIS MASALAH UNTUK MENINGKATKAN OSEAN DAN PEMAHAMAN KONSEP SISWA SMP

    Berdasarkan PERMENDIKBUD No.81A tahun 2013 tentang implementasi kurikulum 2013, di dalamnya terdapat proses pembelajaran langsung dan pembelajaran tidak langsung. Proses pembelajaran langsung terdiri dari lima pengalaman belajar pokok (5M), yaitu : mengamati (Observing), menanya (queStioning), mengumpulkan informasi (collEcting information), mengasosiasi (Associating) dan mengkomunikasikan (commuNicating), yang selanjutnya lima pengalaman pokok belajar ini dinamakan ‘OSEAN’. Hasil studi pendahuluan menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan OSEAN siswa dalam proses pembelajaran 5M pada kurikulum 2013 adalah mengamati 43% siswa, menanya 17% siswa, mengumpulkan informasi 28% siswa, mengasosiasi 14,3% siswa dan mengkomunikasikan 14,3% siswa. Peneliti telah melakukan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan ‘OSEAN’ dan pemahaman konsep siswa menggunakan Pembelajaran Berbasis Masalah (PBM) dengan mengoptimalisasikan bahan ajar, media pembelajaran, dan metode ilmiah. Untuk melihat kegiatan dan keterampilan ‘OSEAN’ dalam pembelajaran maka dilakukan observasi dan open guided inquiry worksheet, sedangkan pemahaman konsep dilihat dari hasil tes pemahaman konsep disetiap akhir pertemuan. Hasil siklus III menunjukkan bahwa (1) untuk kegiatan OSEAN siswa dalam proses pembelajaran 5M adalah mengamati 86% siswa, menanya 51% siswa, mengumpulkan informasi 51% siswa, mengasosiasi 50% siswa, mengkomunikasikan 50% siswa tuntas (2) untuk keterampilan OSEAN siswa dalam menyelesaikan masalah dengan pendekatan saintifik adalah mengamati 90% siswa, menanya 100% siswa, mengumpulkan informasi 90% siswa, mengasosiasi 85% siswa dan mengkomunikasikan 93% siswa tuntas (3) untuk pemahaman konsep 83% siswa mencapai nilai KKM. Hasil penelitian ini sudah memenuhi indikator keberhasilan dengan menerapkan PBM dan bahan ajar yang beragam serta pemberian masalah yang menantang memberi kesempatan bagi siswa merancang metode ilmiah. ---------- According PERMENDIKBUD No. 81A year 2013 about implementation of curriculum 2013, there are direct-learning process and indirect-learning process. Process of direct-learnig process consist of five fundamental learning processes (5M), which are: Observing, queStioning, collEcting information, Associating and commuNicating, referred as OSEAN. Result of early study show that OSEAN activity in 5M activities in curriculum 2013 are Observing 43% of students, queStioning 17% of students, collEcting information 28% of students, Associating 14,3% of students and commuNicating 14,3% of students. We performed action-class research to increase OSEAN and understanding of concept using problem-based learning by optimizing teaching materials and scientific method. To measure activity and skills of OSEAN in learning process, we do observation and use open-guided inquiry worksheet, and for understanding concepts, use comprehension test in the end of each meetings. Result of circle III show us (1) for OSEAN activity of students to learning process is Observing 86% of students, queStioning 51% of students, collEcting information 51% of students, Associating 50% of students and commuNicating 50% of students are completed (2) for OSEAN skills of students to solve the problems by using scientific approach is Observing 90% of students, queStioning 100% of students, collEcting information 90% of students, Associating 85% of students and commuNicating 93% of students are completed (3) for understanding of concets 83% of students attain KKM grade. Result of this research have fulfill the indicator of achievements by implemented PBM, various teaching materials and giving challenging problems provide student to make a scientific method
