ANÁLISE DOS ACIDENTES POR ANIMAIS PEÇONHENTOS E SUA CORRELAÇÃO COM O MEIO AMBIENTE NO MUNICÍPIO DE MACEIÓ-AL
Os acidentes por animais peçonhentos são considerados um grave problema de saúde pública no mundo pois afetam, mais frequentemente, população de baixa renda. O processo de urbanização instantâneo e o desmatamento das florestas são os principais fatores que favorecem a alta taxa de acidentes com animais peçonhentos. Nesse contexto, buscou-se realizar um levantamento dos acidentes por animais peçonhentos notificados no município de Maceió-AL nos anos 2015-2020. Para isso foi realizado um estudo epidemiológico ecológico, retrospectivo, descritivo com abordagem quantitativa de dados secundários disponibilizados de forma eletrônica pelo Ministério da Saúde por meio do Departamento de Informática do Sistema Único de Saúde (DATASUS), no campo Informações de Saúde (TABNET). De acordo com o DATASUS, neste período, Maceió-AL registrou 27.438 casos de acidente dos animais peçonhentos na população geral. Conclui-se que o acelerado processo de urbanização contribuiu de forma exponencial no agravo dos acidentes por animais peçonhentos na cidade de Maceió-AL.Accidents by venomous animals are considered a serious public health problem in the world because they affect, more frequently, low-income population. The instantaneous urbanization process and the deforestation of forests are the main factors that favor the high rate of accidents with venomous animals. In this context, we sought to carry out a survey of accidents by venomous animals reported in the municipality of Maceió-AL in the years 2015-2020. For this, an ecological, retrospective, descriptive epidemiological study was carried out with a quantitative approach to secondary data made available electronically by the Ministry of Health through the Department of Informatics of the Unified Health System (DATASUS), in the Health Information field (TABNET). According to DATASUS, in this period, Maceió-AL registered 27,438 cases of venomous animal accidents in the general population. It is concluded that the accelerated urbanization process contributed exponentially to the aggravation of accidents by venomous animals in the city of Maceió-AL.Los accidentes por animales venenosos se consideran un grave problema de salud pública en el mundo porque afectan, con mayor frecuencia, a la población de bajos ingresos. El proceso de urbanización instantánea y la deforestación de los bosques son los principales factores que favorecen el alto índice de accidentes con animales venenosos. En este contexto, se buscó realizar un estudio de los accidentes por animales venenosos reportados en el municipio de Maceió-AL en los años 2015-2020. Para ello, se realizó un estudio epidemiológico ecológico, retrospectivo y descriptivo con enfoque cuantitativo de datos secundarios puestos a disposición electrónicamente por el Ministerio de Salud a través del Departamento de Informática del Sistema Único de Salud (DATASUS), en el campo de Información de Salud (TABNET). Designing and Tuning the Properties of Materials by Quantum Mechanical Calculations
In many materials, changes in chemical composition, pressure or temperature can induce metal to insulator transitions. It is recently observed in yttrium hydride, for example, changes from a shiny mirror (YH2) to a transparent window (YH3), which has important technological application in optical devices. We have tuned the above transition by choosing pressure instead of composition. Our predicted finding is confirmed by recent experiments and opens a new way to design optical switches. The unique role that gold plays in society is to a large extent related to the fact that it is the most noble of all metals.We have studied the noble nature of gold by choosing pressure as tool. Our prediction shows that gold transforms from a face centered cubic to an hexagonal closed packed phase above 200 GPa whereas platinum, another noble metal, does not show any phase transition up to 500 GPa. This prediction has also been confirmed by experiments suggesting that platinum is more noble than gold. The growing concern about climate change and fossil fuel availability, the direct conversion of solar irradiation into electricity appears to be an ideal alternative to conventional energy sources. Power generation by solar cells is a direct method of solar energy conversion. We report a new cubic phase of TiO2 which can be stabilized at ambient conditions. This phase has an absorption three or four orders of magnitude larger than the conventional state-of-the-art solar cell based on anatase TiO2. Therefore, we are introducing a well established material with a new structure for future generation solar cells. The same effect is also observed in cubic SnO2. Electronic and optical properties of other materials such as BexZn1-xTe, RuO2 and IrO2 are also studied in present thesis. In particular, for BexZn1-xTe, we have used composition as a tool to tune the optical properties

Texto completo: acesso restrito. p. 1593–1596We present the optical absorption spectrum of BiTaO4 using the photo acoustic spectroscopy (PAS) technique and first principles approach. Band gap have been estimated 2.65 and 2.45 eV using PAS method and DFT calculations, respectively. Position of reduction and oxidation level with respect to vacuum level are identified, which shows that BiTaO4 can be used as photocatalyst for hydrogen production.
