    Single phase inverter system using proportional resonant current control

    This paper presents the harmonic reduction performance of proportional resonant (PR) current controller in single phase inverter system connected to nonlinear load. In the study, proportional resonant current controller and low pass filter is discussed to eliminate low order harmonics injection in single phase inverter system. The potential of nonlinear load in producing harmonics is showed and identified by developing a nonlinear load model using a full bridge rectifier circuit. The modelling and simulation is done in MATLAB Simulink while harmonic spectrum results are obtained using Fast Fourier Transfor. End result show PR current controller capability to overcome the injection of current harmonic problems thus improved the overall total harmonic distortion (THD)

    This research was conducted in october 2014, located in the port of Sungai BelaVillage in Indragiri Hilir of Riau Province. The aiem of the rescsrel was to study the verticaldistribution of barnacle (Balanus sp) at the pier pole. The methods used in this research wossurveying method The analysis of the density of barnacles (Balanus sp) showed differentbetween the number and the pillars of station I. The highest density was station I at themiddle part of the pole with the value of 142 individual/m2, and the lowest was in station II atthe top of the pole with the value of 71 individual/m2. The t-test results showed the average inabundance of barnacles on each station differed concrete with a value p = 0,19 (p>0,05)showing the different of a barnacle density in the top, middle, and bottom, respectively

In this paper, study on operation and control of the distribution STATCOM (D-STATCOM) is done. It helps in the better utilization of a network operation under normal and voltage sags condition. This research is proposed by using PSCAD/EMTDC software. Design of 6-pulse D-STATCOM is analyzed and simulated, thus shows its effectiveness in mitigating voltage sags

    Power Consumption Modeling and Analysis of Integrated Optical-Wireless Access Network

    The integration of optical and wireless technologies at access networks are considered as a future solution which provide both high bandwidth and high mobility in an efficient way. GPON is a suitable candidate for optical backhaul due to the combination of higher data rates, greater split ratio and support for triple play services hence it offers maximum flexibility and cost advantages. On the other hand, recent developments of new radio access technologies and introduction of femtocell base stations provide the potential of offering broadband services and applications to everyone and everywhere. However, the power consumption of this network demands a particular attention because access networks are the largest contributor the network related electricity consumption. Therefore, in this paper we evaluate the power consumption of integrated optical-wireless access network which is based on independent ONU-BS architecture. We proposed a power consumption model for such network and the assessment has been done under different simulation scenarios. The constructed model will provide insight of the energy performance of the integrated access network so that in the network design process, focus can be done to the most energy saving strategies

    Passively mode-locked laser using an entirely centred erbium-doped fiber

    This paper describes the setup and experimental results for an entirely centred erbium-doped fiber laser with passively mode-locked output. The gain medium of the ring laser cavity configuration comprises a 3 m length of two-core optical fiber, wherein an undoped outer core region of 9.38 μm diameter surrounds a 4.00 μm diameter central core region doped with erbium ions at 400 ppm concentration. The generated stable soliton mode-locking output has a central wavelength of 1533 nm and pulses that yield an average output power of 0.33 mW with a pulse energy of 31.8 pJ. The pulse duration is 0.7 ps and the measured output repetition rate of 10.37 MHz corresponds to a 96.4 ns pulse spacing in the pulse train

    Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian survey yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui efisiensi ekonomi dan kombinasi optimal penggunaan faktor produksi pada USAhatani padi sawah pada kondisi irigasi semi teknispada musim tanam tahun 2012 di Kabupaten Merangin. Penelitian ini dilakukan mulai dari bulan September sampai bulan Oktober 2012. Data diperoleh dari 30 orang petani per kondisi irigasi semi teknis . Data diolah dan dianalisis dengan metode fungsi produksi Cobb Douglas. Dari hasil analisis efisiensi ekonomi pada irigasi semi teknis rata – rata efisiensi harga/alokatif sebesar 1,873, rata – rata efisiensi teknik sebesar 0,66, dan efisiensi ekonomi sebesar 1,237. Secara keseluruhan faktor produksi yang belum efisien secara ekonomi dan perlu ditambah penggunaanya pada irigasi semi teknis adalahfaktorbenih, pupuk urea, dan pupuk TSP. Sedangkan faktor produksi yang tidak efisien adalah lahan, tenaga kerja dan pupuk KCl yang berarti perlu pengurangan penggunaan faktor produksi tersebut.Secara ekonomi dengan harga input dan produksi yang konstan, maka kombinasi penggunaan faktor produksi yang optimal yang dapat memberikan keuntungan maksimum dengan produksi yang optimum pada irigasi semi teknis produksi diproyeksikan sebesar 3684,76 kg/ha dengan keuntungan maksimum sebesar Rp. 3.251.560,93/ha

    Model Arsitektur Akar Lateral dan Akar Tunjang Bakau (Rhizophora Apiculata Blume.)

    The research about architectural model of lateral and stilt root of Bakau (Rhizophora apiculata Blume.) was conducted on August 2008 at Inwrought Management Area of Mangrove Forest, Margasari, Labuhan Maringgai Sub-District, East Lampung Regency, Province of East Lampung. This research aim to analyze the model of root architecture or the R. apiculata at different growth phases. The approach used the survey descriptive method (qualitative and quantitative). This research is conducted directly in field to get the data of lateral root architecture (underground system) and stilt root by using method of profile root trenching. The result showed that the lateral root at 1, 2, and 4 years old measure up to the monopodial with the orientation of axes is orthotropic and plagiotropic (syllepsis), while the stilt root at 12 years old measure up to the monopodial pattern with the orientation of axes is orthotropic branch complex (non-terminalia branching). Characteristic of R. apiculata root growth is continuous. It was concluded that the architectural model of R. apiculata root is combination between Troll\u27s and Champagnat\u27s model

    The capital market is one of the long-term alternative funding options for companies, including companies in the banking sector.This study aims to identify and analyze the influence of Cap (Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR), Non Performing Loan (NPL) and Operational Costs to Operating Income (BOPO) affecting Loan To Funding Ratio (LFR) as well as to know and analyze the factors that most influence on Loan To Funding Ratio (LFR) at Commercial Banks listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The type of research used in this study is quantitative approach. The quantitative approach bases the study of empirical rational principles. Therefore, before doing the research the researcher must find the problem and hypothesis to be tested based on the criteria specified and the analytical tool used multiple linear regression to know the relation of Capital Adequacy Ratio, Non Performing Loan (NPL), Operating Cost to Operational Revenue (BOPO) on financial performance is measured using the Loan to Funding Ratio (LFR) ratio. The result of the research shows that Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR) has significant influence to Loan to Funding Ratio (LFR), Non Performing Loan (NPL) has significant effect to Loan to Funding Ratio (LFR), BOPO has no significant effect on Loan to Funding Ratio (LFR) at Commercial Commercial Banks listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange.     Channel monitored channel duplexer for optimization of bidirectional passive optical network

    Method of optimizing the optical network transmission in access network has been investigated in many years. Unidirectional optical transmission system is the earliest method of delivering the information. In recent years, bidirectional optical transmission system is the most popular network and shall be the first right of refusal to deploy nowadays. It is justify enough by the massive deployment of the popular state-of-the-art network named Passive Optical Network (PON) in Fiber To The Home (FTTH) technologies. Combining 3 wavelengths includes (1) 1310nm, (2) 1490nm, and (3) 1550nm within a fiber is the method used on Gigabit Capable Passive Optical Network (GPON) or Gigabit Ethernet Passive Optical Network (GEPON/EPON). Combining 2 different wavelengths for uplink and downlink on Small Form Pluggable (SFP) lasers also has been a method used to optimized and saved the fiber infrastructure. Compared those techniques, the research optimization focusing on introducing a passive optical duplexer that combined the same wavelength from both end with the element of monitoring via different wavelength to confirm the network availability. In the design, a unidirectional converter able to operate at a nominal 1310nm or 1550nm windows shall be demonstrated up to 10Gbps Ethernet signal

    Analisis Integrasi Pasar Pinang Kabupaten Tanjung Jabung Barat

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis integrasi pasar pinang Kuala Tungkal Kabupaten Tanjung Jabung Barat dan pasar pinang Singapura. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif dan kuantitatif. Analisis data kuantitatif digunakan menggunakan metode error corection model yang meliputi uji Augmented Dickey Fuller (ADF), uji Johannsen, dan uji Kausalitas Granger untuk mengetahui hubungan kausalitas kedua pasar serta elastisitas transmisi harga antara pasar pinang Singapura dan pasar pinang Kuala Tungkal. Data yang digunakan adalah data time series. Software yang digunakan pada penelitian ini dibantu dengan menggunakan program Eviews. Dari Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pasar pinang Singapura dan pasar pinang Kuala Tungkal terintegrasi baik dalam jangka panjang maupun jangka pendek artinya Perubahan harga pinang di pasar Kuala Tungkal dipengaruhi oleh Perubahan harga pinang di pasar Singapura. Perubahan 1% harga pinang di Singapura akan mempengaruhi Perubahan harga pinang di pasar pinang Kuala Tungkal sebesar 0,38% dalam jangka pendek dan 1,67% dalam jangka panjang. Waktu penyesuaian Perubahan harga pinang di pasar Kuala Tungkal terhadap harga pinang di pasar Singapura ditunjukkan oleh koefisien λ yang bernilai 0,57, yang berarti Perubahan harga pinang di pasar Singapura akan menyebabkan Perubahan harga pinang di pasar Kuala Tungkal dalam jangka panjang memerlukan waktu 15 hari. Di Singapura dan Kuala Tungkal, elastisitas transmisi harga pinang dalam jangka pendek bersifat inelastis dan dalam jangka panjang bersifat elastis
