This study aims to reveal the scope of the presence of reasoning skills according to Bloom's taxonomy in the competency indicators included in the physical education and sports curriculum of a secondary school in Algeria. To achieve the objectives of the study, the technique of content analysis was used, and the validity and stability were tested using the Holsti method. The main findings of the study were as follows: the competency indicators contain most of the reasoning skills according to Bloom's taxonomy, as well as, however, neglect the ability to analyze and the low presence of the cognitive aspect of the skills of reasoning according to Bloom's taxonomy in the competency indicators included in the physical education and sports curriculu

[EN] Background: In their professional practice, teachers can exert a strong influence on students, promoting healthy habits for life through the example of their own lifestyle. The aim of this study was to compare sports habits and attitudes in Physical Activity and Sports Education students at the universities of León (Spain) and Mostaganem (Algeria). Methods: We administered the “Motivations and Attitudes Toward Physical Activity and Sports” questionnaire (in Spanish MIAFD) to 125 Algerian university students from the Institute for Physical Education and Sport (age: 21.87 ± 2.51) and 122 Spanish university students (age: 22.98 ± 2.36) from the Faculty of Physical Activity and Sport Science. Results: Chi-square tests showed significant differences (p < 0.001) with a large effect size (Cramer’s V: 0.650) in perceptions of sport and satisfaction with participation. Conclusion: The students from Mostaganem and Leon show many similarities, such as the number of female students in physical education and sport is quite small compared to male students. Both consider that universities should improve sports facilities to promote good practice. The practice of sports by our university students is far superior to that of students with other degrees, suggesting that they will set a good example of healthy habits once they enter their profession. Nevertheless, the participation of female Algerian students in sport was lower than that of Spanish students, and students at León showed more intrinsic motivation for participating in sport than their counterparts at Mostaganem.S

In the present work, we consider a one-dimensional Von kármán beam with infinite memory, we establish the well-posedness of the system using semigroup theory and prove the exponential stability under some conditions on the kernel of the infinite memory term

90 p. : ill. ; 30 cmThe present work consists on the implementation of an integrated system controlled by an IBM compatible PC through an HPIB card. The system gathers a set of HP model high quality measuring devices, the measurements of a large set of electrical parameters can hence be achieved automatically. In addition, a set of MATLAB routines have been implemented to extract SPICE model parameters of a large set of passive and active electronic components. This allows more accurate results to be obtained from simulation of electrical circuits. Different methods of parameters extraction from measurement data have been tested, and satisfactory results are obtaine

Bending examination of advanced generation of composite structures with specific properties exposed to different loads

Introduction/purpose: This article presents the bending examination of advanced-generation composite structures with specific properties exposed to different loads. Methods: This paper thus proposes and introduces a new generalized five-variable shear strain theory for calculating the static response of functionally graded rectangular plates made of ceramic and metal. Notably, our theory eliminates the need for a shear correction factor and ensures zero-shear stress conditions on both the upper and lower surfaces. Numerical investigations are introduced to interpret the influences of loading conditions and variations of power of functionally graded material, modulus ratio, aspect ratio, and thickness ratio on the bending behavior of FGPs. These analyzes are then compared to the results available in the literature. Results: Preliminary results include a comparative analysis with standard higher-order shear deformation theories (PSDPT, ESDPT, SSDPT), as well as Mindlin and Kirchhoff theories (FSDPT and CPT). Conclusion: Our theory contributes alongside established theories in the field, providing valuable insights into the static thermomechanical response of functionally graded rectangular plates. This encompasses the influence of volume fraction exponent values on non-dimensional displacements and stresses, the impact of aspect ratios on deflection, and the effects of the thermal field on deflection and stresses. Numerical examples of the bending examination of advanced-generation composite structures with specific properties exposed to different loads demonstrate the accuracy of the present theory
