Simple predictions from ALCOR_c for rehadronisation of charmed quark matter
We study the production of charmed hadrons with the help of ALCOR_c, the
algebraic coalescence model for rehadronisation of charmed quark matter.
Mesonic ratios are introduced as factors connecting various antibaryon to
baryon ratios. The resulting simple relations could serve as tests of quark
matter formation and coalescence type rehadronization in heavy ion collisions.Comment: 7 pages in Latex, 1 PS figur
Entropy of expanding QCD matter
Using the lattice QCD equation of state for an isentropically expanding
fireball we follow the evolution of the effective number of particles in an
ideal gas pV/T. This number reduces roughly to its third around the crossover
temperature, which helps to circumvent the entropy obstacle inherent in quark
coalescence models of the hadronization.Comment: 5 pages 4 eps figures LaTe
e-Factors in e-Agribusiness
The Internet offers new opportunities for small businesses to conquer new markets and to find better and cheaper suppliers. Internet-based commerce is widely perceived as the new business logic that operates in a world without boundaries; a world characterized by speed, change, interactivity and connectivity. In this global commercial environment, e-business models appear to be the central conceptual component. Information and communication technologies (ICT) are changing the way in which companies trade with their suppliers and customers. The growing complexity of the food sector drives companies to adopt more sophisticated and effective e-business solutions. If we intend to adopt an e-business solution we have to consider more “e-factors” such as technological, individual, organizational, industrial and societal aspects
New form of matter at CERN SPS: Quark Matter but not Quark Gluon Plasma
I argue that a new form of matter is indeed seen in Pb+Pb collisions at CERN
SPS. However, this Quark Matter (QM) is different from the theoretically
predicted Quark Gluon Plasma (QGP) because its effective degrees of freedom
seem to be the massive (dressed) constituent quarks instead of almost massless
quarks and gluons. The equation of state of QM is hard, the time of its
rehadronization is short, while the equation of state of a QGP is soft and the
time of its rehadronization is long. Other similarities and differences are
also summarized.Comment: Invited review talk at the IX International Workshop on Multiparticle

Multi-Source Spatial Entity Linkage
Besides the traditional cartographic data sources, spatial information can
also be derived from location-based sources. However, even though different
location-based sources refer to the same physical world, each one has only
partial coverage of the spatial entities, describe them with different
attributes, and sometimes provide contradicting information. Hence, we
introduce the spatial entity linkage problem, which finds which pairs of
spatial entities belong to the same physical spatial entity. Our proposed
solution (QuadSky) starts with a time-efficient spatial blocking technique
(QuadFlex), compares pairwise the spatial entities in the same block, ranks the
pairs using Pareto optimality with the SkyRank algorithm, and finally,
classifies the pairs with our novel SkyEx-* family of algorithms that yield
0.85 precision and 0.85 recall for a manually labeled dataset of 1,500 pairs
and 0.87 precision and 0.6 recall for a semi-manually labeled dataset of
777,452 pairs. Moreover, we provide a theoretical guarantee and formalize the
SkyEx-FES algorithm that explores only 27% of the skylines without any loss in
F-measure. Furthermore, our fully unsupervised algorithm SkyEx-D approximates
the optimal result with an F-measure loss of just 0.01. Finally, QuadSky
provides the best trade-off between precision and recall, and the best
F-measure compared to the existing baselines and clustering techniques, and
approximates the results of supervised learning solutions

The dependence of strange hadron multiplicities on the speed of hadronization
Hadron multiplicities are calculated in the ALCOR model for the Pb+Pb
collisions at CERN SPS energy. Considering the newest experimental results, we
display our prediction obtained from the ALCOR model for stable hadrons
including strange baryons and anti-baryons.Comment: 8 pages, LaTeX in IOP style, appeared in the Proceedings of

Evolution of the concept of Quark Matter: the Ianus face of the heavy ion collisions
Since the beginning of the efforts to produce and understand quark matter
large changes developed in the ideas of description of this matter. In the
