Robust Average Formation Tracking for Multi-Agent Systems With Multiple Leaders

    Get PDF
In this paper, the formation tracking problem of the multi-agent system under disturbances and unmodeled uncertainties has been studied. An identifier-based robust control algorithm using the neighboring relative information has been proposed to ensure the followers to maintain a given, and time-varying formation and track the average state of the leaders at the same time. Some sufficient conditions for the second-order multi-agent system with multiple leaders in the presence of disturbances and unmodeled uncertainties have been proposed based on the graph theory and the Lyapunov method. Numerical simulations are provided to testify the validity of the algorithm

Purpose: To investigate the healing effect of Paris polyphylla extract (PPE) on second-degree burns in rats. Methods: Male Sprague Dawley (SD) rats, weighing 200 – 220 g, were subjected to deep seconddegree skin burns by electrical scald instrument. The animals were divided into three groups as follows: (1) second-degree burn model (control) group, (2) burn model treated with 1 % silver sulfadiazine (SSD) group, and (3) burn model treated with 120 mg·mL-1 PPE group. On days 3, 7 and 14 following the administration of the drug/extract, wound area and histopathological changes in rat epidermis were evaluated for the three groups. The minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) of PPE on Staphyloccocus aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Escherichia coli were also assessed. Results: On day 14, the mean wound area of PPE treatment group (0.21 ± 0.04 cm2) was significantly smaller than that of the control rats (2.78 ± 0.18 cm2, p < 0.01). Histological results indicate that inflammatory cells disappeared and were replaced by new granulation tissue in the group treated with 120 mg·mL-1 PPE by day 14. Compared with SSD group rats, the inflammatory cells and fibroblast and granulation tissues of burnt rats with burns and treated with 120 mg·mL-1 PPE decreased significantly. The antibacterial data revealed that the MIC of PPE against S. aureus, P. aeruginosa and E. coli was 2.35, 8.2 and 4.70 mg·mL-1, respectively. Conclusion: Paris polyphylla is an effective medicinal herb that holds promise for the treatment of second-degree burns. Keywords: Paris polyphylla, Second-degree burns, Wound healing, Antibacterial, Inflammatory cells, Granulation tissues, Silver sulfadiazin

Stability analysis and H ∞ control for hybrid complex dynamical networks with coupling delays

    Get PDF
This paper formulates and studies a model of complex dynamical networks with switching topology and coupling delays. Based on the hybrid control and Lyapunov function, the stability and robust H control of such networks with impulsive and switching effects, which have not been studied before, are addressed with some criteria derived. Examples are given to illustrate the effectiveness of the theoretical results. Copyright © 2011 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd

Resilient Delayed Impulsive Control for Consensus of Multiagent Networks Subject to Malicious Agents

    Get PDF
Impulsive control is widely applied to achieve the consensus of multiagent networks (MANs). It is noticed that malicious agents may have adverse effects on the global behaviors, which, however, are not taken into account in the literature. In this study, a novel delayed impulsive control strategy based on sampled data is proposed to achieve the resilient consensus of MANs subject to malicious agents. It is worth pointing out that the proposed control strategy does not require any information on the number of malicious agents, which is usually required in the existing works on resilient consensus. Under appropriate control gains and sampling period, a necessary and sufficient graphic condition is derived to achieve the resilient consensus of the considered MAN. Finally, the effectiveness of the resilient delayed impulsive control is well demonstrated via simulation studies

Stability of internet-based control systems with uncertainties and multiple time-varying delays

    Get PDF
In this paper, based on remote control and local control strategy, a class of hybrid multi-rate control models with uncertainties and multiple time-varying delays is formulated and their robust stability properties are investigated. By Lyapunov-Krasovskii functions and apply it to a descriptor model transformation, some new criteria of robust stability for such Internet-based control systems are established. Numerical example and simulation are given to illustrate the effectiveness of the theoretical results
