Discrete-Time Indefinite Stochastic Linear Quadratic Optimal Control with Second Moment Constraints

    Get PDF
This paper studies the discrete-time stochastic linear quadratic (LQ) problem with a second moment constraint on the terminal state, where the weighting matrices in the cost functional are allowed to be indefinite. By means of the matrix Lagrange theorem, a new class of generalized difference Riccati equations (GDREs) is introduced. It is shown that the well-posedness, and the attainability of the LQ problem and the solvability of the GDREs are equivalent to each other

The isolation and characterization of twelve novel microsatellite loci from Haliotis ovina

    Get PDF
Twelve (12) microsatellite loci were developed from Haliotis ovina by magnetic bead hybridization method. Genetic variability was assessed using 30 individuals from three wild populations. The number of alleles per locus was from 2 to 5 and polymorphism information content was from 0.1228 to 0.6542. The observed and expected heterozygosities ranged from 0.0000 to 0.7778 and 0.1288 to 0.6310, respectively. These loci should provide useful information for genetic studies such as genetic diversity, pedigree analysis, construction of genetic linkage maps and marker-assisted selection breeding in H. ovina.Key words: Genetic markers, Haliotis ovina, microsatellites

Development of a Vacuum Ultra-Violet Laser-Based Angle-Resolved Photoemission System with a Super-High Energy Resolution Better Than 1 meV

The design and performance of the first vacuum ultra-violet (VUV) laser-based angle-resolved photoemission (ARPES) system are described. The VUV laser with a photon energy of 6.994 eV and bandwidth of 0.26 meV is achieved from the second harmonic generation using a novel non-linear optical crystal KBe2BO3F2 (KBBF). The new VUV laser-based ARPES system exhibits superior performance, including super-high energy resolution better than 1 meV, high momentum resolution, super-high photon flux and much enhanced bulk sensitivity, which are demonstrated from measurements on a typical Bi2Sr2CaCu2O8 high temperature superconductor. Issues and further development related to the VUV laser-based photoemission technique are discussed.Comment: 29 pages, 10 figures, submitted to Review of Scientific Instrument

A review on resilient cities research from the perspective of territorial spatial planning: a bibliometric analysis

With the rapid progression of urbanization, cities are increasingly confronted with multifaceted challenges encompassing climate change, population expansion, and resource constraints. Consequently, fostering the development of resilient cities has emerged as a pivotal imperative within future territorial spatial planning. In this paper, we searched the Web of Science Core Collection database for data related to resilient cities in the perspective of territorial spatial planning from 2004 to 2022, and conducted a bibliometric analysis using the Bibliometrix R software package. The results show that: (1) From 2004 to 2022, the number of papers in the field of resilient cities research in the perspective of land spatial planning totaled 933, with a fluctuating upward trend of annual publications. The top three journals in terms of publication are Sustainability, Cities and Landscape and Urban Planning. (2) There are 2,651 researchers from 71 countries or regions contributing to the field, with the top three authors being SHARIFI A, BRUNETTA G, and BARTHEL S, but most of the authors (90.49%) have published only one paper. In addition, developed countries have strong research strength in this field. (3) The top ten keywords in the field of resilient cities research from the perspective of territorial spatial planning are Cities/City, Resilience, Management, Ecosystem services, Climate-change, Urban, Framework, Adaptation, Governance and Space. These keywords reflect the fact that topics related to resilience management and sustainable development of urban areas are hot topics in the field. Water, Health, Geography, Demand, Decision-Making and Built Environment are the research directions of resilient cities from the perspective of future territorial spatial planning

The racemic title compound, C54H38O2, consists of two C-linked pentaΒleno[1,2,3-ij]naphthalenone moieties, the crowded aryl ring substitution on the cycloΒpentane rings forcing the two segments to assume a conformation which has pseudo-twofold rotational symmetry, with a dihedral angle between the naphthalene substituent groups of 55.30β€…(8)Β°. In each segment, the two phenyl rings have different conformational orientations, with inter-ring dihedral angles of 34.7β€…(2) and 49.63β€…(16)Β°. Each cycloΒpentane ring has the same relative configuration in its four chiral centres and together with the fused naphthalene ring assumes an overall chair-like conformation
