    Media animasi banyak dimanfaatkan untuk menggambarkan materi yang sebelumnya abstrak menjadi sesuatu yang dapat diamati, baik dalam bentuk analogi maupun penggambaran. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hasil validasi media, respon siswa, dan hasil belajar siswa dengan menggunakan media animasi konstruksi tangga. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindakan kelas ( PTK ) dengan tiga siklus. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada semester genap tahun ajaran 2014/2015 di SMK Negeri 3 Surabaya. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI TGB 1 sebanyak 32 siswa. Instrumen pembelajaran divalidasi oleh 2 orang yaitu 1 dosen dan 1 guru. Hasil validasi silabus dan RPP dinyatakan sangat baik, materi pembelajaran dinyatakan layak, hasil validasi media oleh ahli media dinyatakan layak dan hasil validasi media oleh ahli materi dinyatakan sangat layak. Instrumen test dinyatakan sangat layak. Hasil analisis respon siswa mendapat persentase dinyatakan menarik ( 80,67% ). Hasil belajar siswa pada siklus I yang telah tuntas sebanyak 23 siswa (80%) dan siswa yang tidak tuntas sebanyak 8 siswa (20%) menunjukkan kriteria tuntas, hasil belajar siswa pada siklus II yang telah tuntas sebanyak 25 siswa (87%) dan siswa yang tidak tuntas sebanyak 5 siswa (13%) menunjukkan kriteria tuntas, dan hasil belajar siswa pada siklus III yang telah tuntas sebanyak 27 siswa (93%) dan siswa yang tidak tuntas sebanyak 3 siswa (7%) menunjukkan kriteria tuntas. Media animation is widely used to describe the material that was previously the abstract into something that can be observed, either in the form of an analogy or depictions. The purpose of this study was to determine the results of the validation media, student responses, and student learning outcomes using animation media construction ladder. This type of research is classroom action research (PTK) with three cycles. This research was conducted in the second semester of the academic year 2014/2015 in SMK Negeri 3 Surabaya. The subjects were students of class XI TGB 1 as many as 32 students. Learning instruments validated by two persons namely 1 lecturer and 1 teacher. Results of the validation syllabus and RPP otherwise excellent, learning material as feasible, the results of the validation media by media experts as feasible and results validation by the media experts stated very worthy material. Otherwise very decent test instruments. Results of the analysis of student responses expressed a percentage of interest (80.67%). Student learning outcomes in the first cycle that has been completed as many as 23 students (80%) and students who did not complete as many as eight students (20%) showed complete criteria, student learning outcomes in the second cycle that has been completed by 25 students (87%) and students who did not complete as many as five students (13%) showed complete criteria, and student learning outcomes in the third cycle that has been completed by 27 students (93%) and students who did not complete as many as three students (7%) showed complete criteria.     Seiring dengan perkembangan pengetahuan, pendapatan, diversifikasi pekerjaan dan tempat kerja masyarakat, maka tuntutan masyarakat terhadap aneka ragam jasa juga meningkat. Untuk mereka yang bertempat tinggal di kota-kota besar, kebutuhan akan jasa semakin meningkat, seperti kebutuhan akan sarana angkutan, fast food café, dan sarana tempat hiburan akhir pekan. Adanya kecenderungan ini maka masyarakat akan lebih menuntut pelayanan yang lebih baik dan sesuai dengan kebutuhannya, sehingga mereka lebih teliti dan kritis dalam memilih segala sesuatu yang dapat digunakan untuk memenuhi kebutuhannya. Sebagian besar sektor publik menyadari pentingnya kepuasan konsumen dan mempunyai batasan anggaran (budget constraints) untuk pelayanan konsumen. Meskipun terdapat kendala, pemimpin dalam organisasi sektor publik harus secara terus-menerus meningkatkan kualitas pelayanan. Hal ini juga dilakukan oleh PT. Kereta Api (Persero) sebagai salah satu perusahaan milik negara yang bergerak dalam bisnis jasa angkutan darat. Kereta Api merupakan alternatif bagi problematika angkutan jalan raya. Faktor obyektifnya adalah sejumlah keunggulan kompetitif yang dimiliki oleh kereta api, seperti efesien penggunaan lahan, dll. Tujuan penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui variabelvariabel yang mempengaruhi loyalty pelanggan pada PT. Kereta Api Indonesia Daerah Operasi 8 Surabaya. Skala pengukuran untuk indikator-indikator dari setiap variabel yang digunakan adalah skala likert dengan skal interval 1 sampai 5. Pengambilan sampel didasari oleh SEM bahwa besarnya sampel yaitu 5 – 10 parameter yang diestimasi. Pada penelitian ini terdapat 19 indikator, sehingga jumlah sampel yang ditetapkan adalah 114 responden melalui penyebaran kuesioner kepada pelanggan yang pernah memiliki minimal dua kali KTB dan berumur 17 tahun ke atas. Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan probability sampling dengan teknik simple random sampling. Artinya teknik penarikan sampel dengan menggunakan syarat tertentu. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh positif service quality terhadap satisfaction, terdapat pengaruh positif tidak signifikan perceive value terhadap satisfaction, terdapat pengaruh positif satisfaction terhadap loyalty dan terdapat pengaruh negatif satisfaction terhadap loyalty melalui trust

    Monolithically Integrated Broadly Tunable Light Emitters Based On Selectively Intermixed Quantum Wells

    A monolithically integrated broadly tunable MQW laser that utilizes a combined impurity-free vacancy disordering (IFVD) of quantum wells and optical beam steering techniques is proposed and investigated experimentally. The device consists of a beam-steering section and an optical amplifier section fabricated on a GaAs/AlGaAs quantum well (QW) p-i-n heterostructure. The beam steering section forms a reconfigurable optical waveguide that can be moved laterally by applying separately controlled electrical currents to two parallel contact stripes. The active core of the gain section is divided in into selectively intermixed regions. The selective intermixing of the QW in the gain section results in neighboring regions with different optical bandgaps. The wavelength tuning is accomplished by steering the amplified optical beam through the selected region where it experiences a peak in the gain spectrum determined by the degree of intermixing of the QW. The laser wavelength tunes to the peak in the gain spectrum of that region. The IFVD technique relies on a silica (SiO2) capped rapid thermal annealing and it has been found that the degree of intermixing of the QW with the barrier material is dependent on the thickness of the SiO2 film. The QW sample is first encapsulated with a 400nm thick SiO2 film grown by plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition (PECVD). In the gain section, the SiO2 film is selectively etched using multiple photolithographic and reactive ion etching steps whereas the SiO2 film is left intact in all the remaining areas including the beam-steering section. The selective area quantum well intermixing is then induced by a single rapid thermal annealing step at 975°C for a 20s duration to realize a structure with quantum well that has different bandgaps in the key regions. Optical characterizations of the intermixed regions have shown a blue shift of peak of the electroluminescence emission of 5nm, 16nm and 33nm for the uncapped, 100nm and 200nm iv respectively when compared to the as grown sample. The integrated laser exhibited a wavelength tuning range of 17nm (799nm to 816nm). Based on the same principle of QW selective intermixing, we have also designed and fabricated a monolithically integrated multi-wavelength light emitting diode (LED). The LED emits multiple wavelength optical beams from one compact easy to fabricate QW structure. Each wavelength has an independent optical power control, allowing the LED to emit one or more wavelengths at once. The material for the LED is the same AlGaAs/GaAs QW p-i-n heterostructure described above. The device is divided into selectively intermixed regions on a single QW structure using IFVD technique to create localized intermixed regions. Two different designs have been implemented to realize either an LED with multiple output beams of different wavelengths or an LED with a single output beam that has dual wavelength operation capabilities. Experimental results of the multiple output beams LED have demonstrated electrically controlled optical emission of 800nm, 789nm and 772nm. The single output LED has experimentally been shown to produce wavelength emission of 800nm and/or 772nm depending on electrical activation of the two aligned intermixed regions
