English as an international language, it is a key to conquer the world. Education is a tool that enables students to gain knowledge and develop their creative thinking abilities. The aim of this research is to evaluate the advantages of implementing SPEAKING 3’S, an innovative method for English Language English language teaching, especially in speaking. Within the confines of a quantitative descriptive research design, an experimental group and a control group were compared. In the experimental group, two weeks of English classes were modified within the framework of SPEAKING 3’S, an innovative and newest English language teaching style. In the control group, there is no instructional activities based on the SPEAKING 3’S technique were implemented. Pre and post-tests were administered to evaluate the efficacy of the SPEAKING 3’S method on the speaking skills of students and to compare the experimental and control groups. In addition, observations were done to evaluate the participants in both courses and compare their similarities and differences (students' interactions with the teacher and their opinions on the English language teaching style implication). The adoption of the SPEAKING 3’S technique in English lessons improves students' speaking skills and can assist offer an original point of view to English Language teaching, according to the findings of this research. Keywords : SPEAKING 3’S, speaking, metho

Online lectures are the main means of learning during the Covid-19 Pandemic. It is inevitable that at this time, the campus is carrying out lectures online from home due to the Covid-19 pandemic, but lecturers and students continue to conduct online-based lectures through various applications, one of which is the Zoom Meeting application. The purpose of this article is to determine the effectiveness of using the Zoom Meeting application in micro teaching lectures during the Covid-19 pandemic. The method used was in the form of filling out a questionnaire via Google Form for 34 students of the Indonesian Language and Literature Study Program STKIP PGRI West Sumatra who were taking micro teaching courses in the even semester of 2019/2020, total 34 students. From the descriptive survey results, it was found that the variable student opinion on the ease of the Zoom Meeting application in micro teaching lectures, obtained an average of 3.857. The student acceptance variable on the ease of the Zoom Meeting application as an online learning medium in micro teaching lectures, obtained an average of 3.649. The student expectation variable regarding the use of the Zoom Meeting application in micro teaching lectures, the results obtained an average of 3.842. That is, the use of the Zoom Meeting application is less effective in micro teaching lectures, but it is already effective in online learning media and can be used as a learning application during the Covid-19 pandemic

The aim is to implement the contextual teaching and learning (CTL) model increative writing classes for students in higher education. The background is thatstudents need help finding ideas, topics and themes relevant to their writing, especially in writing poetry and short story. The pre-experimental research is usedwith one group pre-test and post-test. The sample is thirty students, which usedsimple random sampling to select the sample. Assessment criteria for poetry and ashort story are used to check the quality of students' creative writing. Thequestionnaire is used to know students' perceptions of applying CTL in creativewriting. The author used t-tests and descriptive statistics as data analysis in thisresearch. The result showed that contextual teaching and learning influencedstudents' learning outcomes and motivation and improved the production of writingpoetry and short stories. Students believe that CTL helps them find the ideas, topicsand themes related to their daily life and experience in the creative writing class Keywords: Contextual Teaching and Learning, Creative Writing, Higher Educatio

Phase Diagram, Density, And Current Density Profiles Of Totally Asymmetric Simple Exclusion Process For A Junction With Two Entrances and Two Exits

A dynamical model called the totally asymmetric simple exclusion process (TASEP) in one dimension (1D) is a widely-held particle hopping model which has developed into a reference model for studying non-equilibrium driven systems in particular transport phenomena. In this study, the TASEP is extended for a case of a junction with two entrances and two exits. The model is specified by a dynamical rule and boundary conditions. The dynamical rule determines the movement of particles and in this case the sequential updating dynamics is applied. The boundary condition used is the open boundary conditions, where particles may enter or exit the lattice sites. The density of the TASEP is governed by a continuity equation, which is solved numerically, such that a phase diagram and the current density profiles are obtained. The result shows that there are ten density phases produced, viz.: low density, high density, coexistence phase, maximal current, low density-low density, high density-high density, high density-maximal current, low density-maximal current, maximal current-high density, and maximal current-low density. The current density is generally constant throughout the lattice sites, except at the junction where a spike occurs. The purpose of the research is to find out the students’ ability in writing, especially writing recount text by using Facebook as a medium of discussion. In the classroom students set up their Cellphone to write and discuss a recount text. The research question is “Is there any significant effect on students writing recount text by using face book as medium for discussion on Senior High School students?” In the preliminary study it was found that the students’ writing ability was low. Hence, the writer is interested in trying to solve the students’ problem by using Facebook as a medium of discussion. The design of this research was an experimental research. The sample for this research consisted of 25 students. The result of this research found that Facebook as medium for discussion significantly affect the students writing ability. Teaching strategy is necessary for the teaching and learning process. It is used as a way to present learning content in a way that engages the learners. It is assumed that applying appropriate teaching strategies has a positive impact on students' achievement. This study aimed to analyze students' perceptions of teacher's teaching strategy and its effect on students' achievement in learning English. This study was an Ex-post Facto study. The population of this study was the students who had studied English as a general subject at Universitas Negeri Padang in the academic year of January-June 2019. Cluster random sampling was used with 150 students as the sample of this study. Then, for collecting the data, two questionnaires and documents of students’ final scores were used as the instruments. The data was analyzed by using a Likert-type scale and regression linear statistical analysis through IBM SPSS Statistics 22 Software. The results showed that generally, students' perception of the teacher's teaching strategy was High. Then, based on the statistical analysis, it was found that thevalue of F-count was lower than F-table. It meant that the null hypothesis (H0) was accepted, and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was rejected. Thus, there was no significant effect of student's perception of teaching strategy towards students' achievement in learning English as a general subject
