    Evaluasi Kinerja Pemasok dengan Metode Analytichierarchy Process

This study aims to determine the performance assessment criteria forsuppliers with better criteria based on previous research and the study ofliterature, also measure the performance of suppliers using the criteria. Theresearch data is the data performance per supplier during the period January toAugust 2013. The sampling method used is a saturated sampling where the entirepopulation is taken as a sample with a population of 9 people and 3 people for asample of experts. The analytical method used in this study is the AnalyticalHierarchy Process (AHP). The results showed that the criteria can be used in thecompany and of the simulation shown significant results from suppliers that serveas sample simulations. The criteria are include quality and durability testing,delivery, price, responsiveness, financial stability and business, informationdevelopment process, technical ability and a good & stable background. Afterdone supplier performance assessment using criteria that already selectedresulting effective measurement, example using 3 company supplier which isgenerating a decision for best supplier selection that can cooperate with companypositively. Assessment can be done for improving supplier performance withpurpose improving performance based on worse criteria that supplier has

This is an open access article distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution Li-cense, which permits unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction in any medium, provided the original work is properly cited.A novel treatment for cancer patients with homozygous deletions of BRCA1 and BRCA2 is to use drugs that inhibit the enzyme poly(ADP-ribose) polymerase (PARP). Specific inhibition of PARP-1 can induce synthetic lethality in irradi- ated cancer cells while theoretically leaving normal tissue unaffected. We recently demonstrated in a cell survival assay that lymphoblastoid cells with mono-allelic mutations of BRCA1 were hypersensitive to gamma radiation in the pres- ence of the PARP-1 inhibitor Olaparib compared to normal cells and mono-allelic BRCA2 cells. To determine if the enhanced radiation sensitivity was due to a persistence of DNA strand breaks, we performed γ-H2AX foci analysis in cells derived from two normal individuals, three heterozygous BRCA1 and three heterozygous BRCA2 cell lines. Cells were exposed to 2 Gy gamma radiation in the presence or absence of 5 μM Olaparib. Using immunofluorescence and imaging flow cytometry, foci were measured in untreated cells and at 0.5, 3, 5 and 24 hours post-irradiation. In all lymphoblastoid cells treated with 2 Gy gamma radiation, there was a predictable induction of DNA strand breaks, with a modest but significant retention of foci over 24 hours in irradiated cells treated with Olaparib (ANOVA P < 0.05). However, in mono-allelic BRCA1 cells, there was a failure to fully repair DNA double-strand breaks (DSB) in the pres- ence of Olaparib, evidenced by a significant retention of foci at 24 hours’ post irradiation (t-Test P < 0.05). These data show that the cellular hypersensitivity of mono-allelic BRCA1 lymphoblastoid cells to gamma radiation in the presence of the Olaparib is due to the retention of DNA DSB. These data may indicate that patients with inherited mutations in the BRCA1 gene treated with radiotherapy and PARP-1 inhibitors may experience elevated radiation-associated normal tissue toxicity.Vidal Sassoon Foundation of America

    The zeta potential (ZP) of colloidal systems and nano-medicines, as well as their particle size exert a major effect on the various properties of nano-drug delivery systems. Not only the stability of dosage forms and their release rate are affected but also their circulation in the blood stream and absorptioninto body membranes are dramatically altered by ZP. In this paper the effect of ZP on the various properties of nano-medicines are reviewed.     Zeta potential is a scientific term for electrokinetic potential in colloidal systems which has a major effect on the various properties of nano-drug delivery systems. Presently, colloidal nano-carriers are growing at a remarkable rate owing to their strong potential for overcoming old challenges such as poor drug solubility and bioavailability. Furthermore, they show an unlimited capacity in the field of drug targeting. The properties of nano-medicines such as release from dosage forms at specific sites as well as drug circulation and absorption into body membranes are dramatically affected by some physical and chemical characteristics of nano-drugs. Particle size and charge are two major factors which could play key roles in this regard.     Applying Global Models of Teacher Development to Improve Student Outcomes: Insights from a Teacher Development & Leadership Program in Qatar

    This paper aims to examine the relationship between progressive teaching practice and student academic and non-academic outcomes. The teacher development and leadership(TDL) program is a Qatari teacher development program that is a part of a wider global network(called “Global Network”) that aims to expand educational opportunities through teacher development with its roots in the United States. (Names of organizations have been changed for anonymity). The training model of TDL program is based on six themes: (1) orientation to student vision, (2) ongoing reflection to improve practice, (3) setting high expectations for students, (4) ensuring content rigor and mastery in students, (5) fostering positive culture and learning environment, and (6) building positive relationships with students. We used a dataset that includes aggregate student- and teacher-level data from 136 classrooms (with2,087 students) of 41 teachers between 2015 and 2017 to understand the relationship between teacher effectiveness and student outcomes. We found that establishing a positive rapport with students, practicing ongoing reflection, and internalizing learning are associated with higher academic achievement. We also found that incorporation of student vision for teaching practice is correlated with students having more positive attitude toward learning

    Properties of Hardened Concrete Containing CBA Ash and FCS as Partial Sand Replacement

    A large amount of coal bottom ash (CBA) is being discharged from thermal power plants and has been making serious environmental pollution. Meanwhile, fine coconut shell (FCS) is an agricultural waste and is available in plentiful quantities throughout tropical countries worldwide. In many countries, coconut shell is subjected to open burning which contributes significantly to CO2 and methane emissions. Both of these materials are essential to utilize the CBA and FCS to reduce environmental pollution. Therefore, this study aims to determine the properties of combination of these materials as partial sand replacement. CBA is slow in pozzolanic activity of coal bottom ash which is suitable for partial replacement sand. Meanwhile, FCS is lightweight material with high density in porous filler. &nbsp;Concrete designed for 30 MPa strength at 28 days curing age and 0.50 of water-cement ratio in this study. The percentage of CBA used is 5%, 10%, 15% and 20%, while the percentage of FCS is 2%, 4%, 6% and 8% where it has been replaced by volume replacement. The specimens were cured in water for 7, 28, 56 and 90 days curing ages before compressive and splitting tensile strength test are conducted. It can be concluded that the density of the concrete decreased, compressive and splitting tensile strength show the improvement with the utilization of CBA and FCS in concrete. In addition, the percentage of water absorption increased as both of CBA and FCS absorb the water. This study shows that an optimum percentage of CBA found is 10% and FCS is 6% for this study

    The impact of organisational justice on ethical behaviour

    YesWithin the workplace, justice is influenced by the interpersonal relationships between colleagues and/or management among other things. The main reason for this research is to examine the correlation between organisational justice and the ethical behaviour of employees. Based on the literature, the conceptual model developed in this paper integrates distributive, procedural, interpersonal and informational justice in relation to ethical behaviour. By applying an adapted survey questionnaire, data were collected from teaching staff at public sector higher education institutions. Multiple regression analysis was applied to 360 samples and this showed that distributive and procedural justice have a more positive and significant impact than informational and interpersonal justice on the ethical behaviour of employees. This is an empirical study which may contribute to the literature on ethical behaviour, organisational development and employee development
