Pathological Anatomy and Quantitative Analysis of morphologic dimensions of 1-Year Old Children Hearts in Case of Sudden Death at Home

    Get PDF
One hundred twenty-three babies died at home at the age of 1–12 months have been examined from 2004 till 2008. 39 babies died from sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS). The comparison group has been composed of 58 babies of the same age died at home from various diseases. Investigations have been performed in DGCB N1, Samara. About 95 % of babies died from SIDS at home during the first six months of their life, with top mortality between 1 till 3 months. There was sexual difference — 67 % of boys. The majority of home death cases have happened in summer — 49 babies (30%). Morphological investigations have been made including different heart weighting, histological and histometric examination of cardiomyocites. It has been revealed that in the group of babies died from SIDS the most constant symptoms have included: right heart hypertrophy, great heart weight variability, ventricular index

SIMULATION OF A TRAINED TRAINED NEURAL NETWORK OF A FUZZY LOGIC REGULATION SYSTEM BASED ON THE COTTON DRYING PROCESS

The article discusses the modeling of a fuzzy-logical system of regulation of the process of drying of raw cotton. The tasks of overcoming uncertainties arising in the process of operation of technological units at the enterprises of the cotton-cleaning industry are presented. An example of solving such a problem by using an artificial neural network is given. Mathematical models based on the neural network have been developed that are used to formalize the process of drying raw cotton and determine the optimal tuned parameters of the fuzzy-logical PID controller, allowing the fate of changing the operating modes of the technological units of the drying drum. A method for determining the number of synoptic weights of artificial neural networks is proposed, which minimizes the number of trainings and increases the speed of management decisions. To train the neural network weights use the reverse spreading error method. The range of variation of the regulator parameter is justified, taking into account the features of the cotton drying process. As a result, the proposed model was used in the control system of the drying process in terms of quality indicators, which led to an increase in the accuracy of the technological process

Coupling between Rydberg states and Landau levels of electrons trapped on liquid helium

    Get PDF
We investigate the coupling between Rydberg states of electrons trapped on a liquid Helium surface and Landau levels induced by a perpendicular magnetic field. We show that this realises a prototype quantum system equivalent to an atom in a cavity, where their coupling strength can be tuned by a parallel magnetic field. We determine experimentally the renormalisation of the atomic transition energies induced by the coupling to the cavity, which can be seen as an analogue of the Lamb shift. When the coupling is sufficiently strong the transition between the ground and first excited Rydberg states splits into two resonances corresponding to dressed states with vacuum and one photon in the cavity. Our results are in quantitative agreement with the energy shifts predicted by the effective atom in a cavity model where all parameters are known with high accuracy

Functioning of Proper Names in the English Literary Text

    Get PDF
This article discusses the functioning of proper names in a literary text. The primary attention is paid to the study of the essential functions of anthroponyms. This work will focus on studying the origin of anthroponyms and their use in a poetic text. The features of each functional style have long made it possible to contrast the literary and artistic style with everyone else in the presence of exceptional semantic complexity in the literary texts, a multi-tiered composition, and the aesthetic function of the word that organises the entire context of the work. Onomastic units are integral components of the space of a literary text; they are a connecting, constructive element of the meaningful and semantic space and structure of the text. Proper names participate in the creation of semantic multidimensionality of the text, are a means of translating the author's intention and the artistic idea of the work. The article uses descriptive and comparative linguistic methods. It is noted here that the creation of proper names is a practical process and is directly related to the mental-national thinking of the people. The scientific and methodological study of names is theoretical. The proper name in a work of art performs some artistic functions. They include identification, ensuring unity of perception, characterising a character, shaping his image and plot of work, forming subject-object relationships, spatio-temporal and compositional organisation of work, and implementing intertextual connections

Substantiation of New Diagnostic Methods for the Formation of Retention of Upper Permanent Canines in Dental Anomalies

    Get PDF
In the case of dental anomalies of the formation of retention of the upper permanent canines, new views on the methods of its diagnosis are presented in the article. Both foreign and domestic a wide review of the literature of scientists was presented by the author, as well as various diagnostic methods were described in detail about this pathology. Various methods of evaluation of X-ray examinations and modern approaches to the diagnosis of retention of the upper permanent canines, which are currently used in practice by an orthodontist to make a final diagnosis, are described

The author presented a wide review of the literature of both foreign and domestic scientists, detailed the various diagnostic methods for this pathology. Various methods for assessing the violation of the biomechanics of the lower jaw, which leads to dysfunctions of the temporomandibular joint, are also described

Bulbar ALS Detection Based on Analysis of Voice Perturbation and Vibrato

On average the lack of biological markers causes a one year diagnostic delay to detect amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). To improve the diagnostic process an automatic voice assessment based on acoustic analysis can be used. The purpose of this work was to verify the sutability of the sustain vowel phonation test for automatic detection of patients with ALS. We proposed enhanced procedure for separation of voice signal into fundamental periods that requires for calculation of perturbation measurements (such as jitter and shimmer). Also we proposed method for quantitative assessment of pathological vibrato manifestations in sustain vowel phonation. The study's experiments show that using the proposed acoustic analysis methods, the classifier based on linear discriminant analysis attains 90.7\% accuracy with 86.7\% sensitivity and 92.2\% specificity.Comment: Proc. of International Conference Signal Processing Algorithms, Architectures, Arrangements, and Applications (SPA 2019

Accuracy Assessment for AG500, Electromagnetic Articulograph

    Get PDF
Purpose: The goal of this article was to evaluate the accuracy and reliability of the AG500 (Carstens Medizinelectronik, Lenglern, Germany), an electromagnetic device developed recently to register articulatory movements in three dimensions. This technology seems to have unprecedented capabilities to provide rich information about time-varying positions of articulators. However, strengths and weaknesses of the system need to be better understood before the device is used for speech research. Method: Evaluations of the sensor positions over time were obtained during (a) movements of the calibration device, (b) manual movements of sensors in a cartridge within the recording field of the cube, and (c) various speech tasks. Results: Results showed a median error to be under 0.5 mm across different types of recordings. The maximum error often ranged between 1 and 2 mm. The magnitude of error depended somewhat on the task but largely on the location of the sensors within the recording region of the cube. Conclusion: The performance of the system was judged as adequate for speech movement acquisition, provided that specific steps are taken for minimizing error during recording and for validating the quality of recorded data
